    Atazanavir and darunavir in pregnant women with HIV: Evaluation of laboratory and clinical outcomes from an observational national study

    Background: Atazanavir and darunavir represent the main HIV PIs recommended in pregnancy, but comparativedata in pregnant women are limited.We assessed the safety and activity profile of these two drugs in pregnancyusing data from a national observational study.Methods: Women with atazanavir or darunavir exposure in pregnancy were evaluated for laboratory measuresand main pregnancy outcomes (e.g. preterm delivery, low birthweight, non-elective caesarean section and neonatalgestational age-adjusted birthweight Z-score).Results: Final analysis included 500 pregnancies with either atazanavir (n"409) or darunavir (n"91) exposure.No differences in pregnancy outcomes, weight gain in pregnancy, drug discontinuations, undetectable HIV-RNA,haemoglobin, ALT, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol were observed between the twogroups. At third trimester, exposure to darunavir was associated with higher levels of plasma triglycerides(median 235.5 versus 179 mg/dL; P"0.032) and a higher total cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio (median 4.03versus 3.27; P"0.028) and exposure to atazanavir was associated with higher levels of plasma bilirubin (1.54versus 0.32 mg/dL; P<0.001).Conclusions: In this observational study, the two main HIV PIs currently recommended by perinatal guidelinesshowed similar safety and activity in pregnancy, with no evidence of differences between the two drugs in termsof main pregnancy outcomes. Based on the minor differences observed in laboratory measures, prescribingphysicians might prefer either drug in some particular situations where the different impacts of treatment onlipid profile and bilirubin may have clinical relevance

    Search for Eccentric Black Hole Coalescences during the Third Observing Run of LIGO and Virgo

    Despite the growing number of confident binary black hole coalescences observed through gravitational waves so far, the astrophysical origin of these binaries remains uncertain. Orbital eccentricity is one of the clearest tracers of binary formation channels. Identifying binary eccentricity, however, remains challenging due to the limited availability of gravitational waveforms that include effects of eccentricity. Here, we present observational results for a waveform-independent search sensitive to eccentric black hole coalescences, covering the third observing run (O3) of the LIGO and Virgo detectors. We identified no new high-significance candidates beyond those that were already identified with searches focusing on quasi-circular binaries. We determine the sensitivity of our search to high-mass (total mass M>70M>70 MM_\odot) binaries covering eccentricities up to 0.3 at 15 Hz orbital frequency, and use this to compare model predictions to search results. Assuming all detections are indeed quasi-circular, for our fiducial population model, we place an upper limit for the merger rate density of high-mass binaries with eccentricities 0<e0.30 < e \leq 0.3 at 0.330.33 Gpc3^{-3} yr1^{-1} at 90\% confidence level.Comment: 24 pages, 5 figure

    We study the perturbative series associated to bi-local correlators in Jackiw-Teitelboim (JT) gravity, for positive weight λ of the matter CFT operators. Starting from the known exact expression, derived by CFT and gauge theoretical methods, we reproduce the Schwarzian semiclassical expansion beyond leading order. The computation is done for arbitrary temperature and finite boundary distances, in the case of disk and trumpet topologies. A formula presenting the perturbative result (for λ ∈ ℕ/2) at any given order in terms of generalized Apostol-Bernoulli polynomials is also obtained. The limit of zero temperature is then considered, obtaining a compact expression that allows to discuss the asymptotic behaviour of the perturbative series. Finally we highlight the possibility to express the exact result as particular combinations of Mordell integrals

    Content-based publish/subscribe networking and information-centric networking

    On-line information comes in different forms and is accessed in different ways and for different purposes. For example, a recording of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony differs from a storm warning from the local weather service. Beethoven’s Ninth is a large media file with perpetual validity that is typically accessed on demand by users. By contrast, a storm warning is a small ephemeral message typically pushed by the weather service to all users in a specific geographic area. We argue that both should and would be well supported by an information-centric network. More specifically we argue three points. First, modern applications, reflecting the nature of human communications, use and transmit large and long-lived files as well as small ephemeral messages. Second, accessing those two types of information involves significantly different operations within the network. Third, despite their differences, both types of information would benefit from an addressing scheme based on content rather than on more or less flat identifiers, which means that both should be integrated to some extent within a unified contentbased routing infrastructure
