ANALISI SPAZIALE DELLE AREE HNVF NEL TERRITORIO LUCANO Spatial Analysis of HNVF Areas in the Region of Basilicata
In this paper it was proposed a spatial multicriteria analysis model for the
identification of the High Nature Value Farmland (HNVF) areas. Six criteria was identified
and analyzed. The application was conducted in the region of Basilicata, Italy. The result
highlight four HNVF classes. Large part of agricultural land of Basilicata has a high nature
value. The obtained results are useful in the agricultural programming, such as, for example,
in the next Rural Development Plan (2014-2020)
Post-2013 EU Common Agricultural Policy: predictive models of land use change
This article presents a multi-temporal uncertainty-based method that incorporates a statistical regression model with a view to establishing the risk (probability) of land cover changes as a function of a set of environmental and socio-economic driving factors. The morphologic, climatic and socio-economic variables were examined using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model and the Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP). Following the analysis, maps indicating the suitability to future changes were generated on the basis of observed transitions. From these maps two possible land use scenarios were built, applying the Markov chain principle. The region of Basilicata, in southern Italy, was selected for the analysis. The results highlight: a) a good inclination to change towards specialised crop systems, provided there is sufficient water supply; b) that some cropping patterns are not suitable for changes, partly because they are found in a context with severe limitations for alternative uses
The Effects of the new Common Agricultural Policy on the Cereal Sector in the Basilicata Region
Farming is the production activity that occupies most of the countryside, so it strongly characterises the landscape. Furthermore, the choices of farmers are influenced by the rules of the Common Agricultural Policy. On the basis of the data of the 6th Census of Agriculture and assuming the new choices of the Common Agricultural Policy for the period from 2014 to 2020, it is possible to identify Basilicata’s municipal areas that would be most influenced by the effects of the new rules, especially the greening measures. Through the estimate of the economic impact of CAP measures on the post-2013 farm budget, made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, it has been possible to assess their economic effects on the municipalities of the Basilicata region and classify them by means of the cluster analysis. Therefore the analysis is aimed at estimating the economic effects and the impact on the landscape of greening measures in Basilicata’s municipalities and at formulating local policies to mitigate them
Deformation analysis of ATHENA test filters made of plastic thin films supported by a mesh under differential static pressure
Within ESA Cosmic Vision 2015-2025 Science Program, ATHENA was selected to be a Large-class high energy astrophysics space mission. The observatory will be equipped with two interchangeable focal plane detectors named X-Ray Integral Field Unit (X-IFU) and Wide Field Imager (WFI). In order to optimally exploit the detector sensitivity, X-ray transparent filters are required. Such filters need to be extremely thin to maximize the X-ray transparency, that is, no more than a few tens of nm, still they must be able to sustain the severe stresses experienced during launch. Partially representative test filters were made with a thin polypropylene film, coated with Ti, and supported by a thin highly transparent mesh either in stainless steel or niobium. Differential static pressure experiments were carried out on two filter samples. In addition, the roles of the mesh on the mechanical deformation is studied, adopting a finite element model (FEM). The numerical analysis is compared with experimental results and found in good agreement. The FEM is a promising tool that allows to characterize materials and thicknesses in order to optimize the design
Mushrooms Red Book of Ukraine in Culture. 1. Patterns of Growth Hericium coralloides
The national park «Hutsulshchyna» found only three localities of
Hericium coralloides − mushroom Red Book of Ukraine. The result of the research was to obtain in a pure culture of
the native strain K01. As for the release, and to support and ensure the viability of the fungus in culture potato -
glucose agar was the best among the tested environments. Individual features of the growth of H. coralloides K01
indicate the narrow trophic features of this strain at cultivation because from five tested media suitable for growth were
only two. This strain K01 H. coralloides may be considered promising for use as an inoculant respective substrates in
the environment , because it is characterized by high rates of radial growth , a short period of log- phase and ability to
form stage teleomorfy in pure culture.Роботу виконано у НПП «Гуцульщина»,

Knowledge and Acceptance of COVID-19 Vaccination among Undergraduate Students from Central and Southern Italy
At the end of 2020, the Italian Ministry of Health launched a national vaccination campaign to counteract the COVID-19 pandemic. The present study aimed at appraising levels of knowledge about and acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination in a sample of Italian undergraduates during the first phase of the immunization plan. A web-based questionnaire was administered to students attending universities in Bari, Naples, and Rome during the period February-April 2021. Of the total of 3226 participants, 91.9% were keen to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. More than 80% gave correct answers to questions about COVID-19 vaccine administration, functioning, and effects on community health. However, only 63.8% identified the correct composition of the available vaccines. Knowledge was found to be related to sociodemographic features and COVID-19 vaccination acceptance (p < 0.05). COVID-19 vaccination acceptance was found to be related to having a previous vaccination against influenza (OR 3.806, CI 95% 1.181-12.267; p = 0.025) and knowledge (OR 4.759, CI 95% 2.106-10.753; p = 0.000). These results show a good level of awareness about COVID-19 vaccination in this population, which may indicate the effectiveness of communication strategies accompanying the COVID-19 immunization campaign in Italy
