Use of Neutral Fact-Finding to Preserve Exclusive Rights and Uphold the Disclosure Purpose of the Patent System

This comment proposes the use of neutral fact-finding as a precursor to litigation of patent disputes. Section II begins with a brief introduction to the concept of patents and the system used in the United States for granting and protecting exclusive rights associated with patent grants. Then, Section III discusses traditional ADR processes available to resolve patent disputes and sets forth reasons those processes are not widely used. Finally, Section IV offers neutral factfinding as a solution to both litigation and traditional ADR process concerns with respect to resolving patent dispute

Pengaruh Telemarketing dan Internet Marketing terhadap Keputusan Pembelian Konsumen English First Pejaten

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara Telemarketing dan Internet Marketing terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen English First Pejaten Jakarta. Selain itu ingin diuji pula apakah kedua variabel ini berpengaruh positif atau tidak terhadap keputusan pembelian. Data yang dipergunakan berdasarkan dari jurnal ilmiah, buku referensi, situs website, hasil kuesioner, dan hasil wawancara. Model pengujian menggunakan metode uji reliabilitas, uji validitas, uji asumsi klasik) dan uji analisis regresi linear berganda. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menggunakan metode uji analisis regresi linear berganda yang dikemukakan oleh Sir Francis Galton, menunjukan bahwa keputusan pembelian konsumen English First Pejaten Jakarta dapat dijelaskan oleh kedua variabel ini, yakni telemarketing dan internet marketing. Dengan telemarketing yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen English First Pejaten Jakarta. Sedangkan internet marketing tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keputusan Pembelian konsumen English First Pejaten Jakarta. Kata kunci : Telemarketing, Internet Marketing, Keputusan Pembelia

Cyriax syndrome in a young male professional soccer player: A case report

Cyriax syndrome is a neglected cause of lower chest or upper abdominal pain. The pain is due to an irritation of the intercostal nerves by the incomplete dislocation of the costal cartilage of the ribs. This study presents a rare case of a young male soccer player with cyriax syndrome and offers medical insight into the clinical diagnosis and one therapeutic modality of this condition. He came to the sports clinic reporting severe pain in the right lower rib cage near the costal cartilage junction which he has experienced for about three weeks. A chest x-ray detected nothing. After the failure of initial conservative measures, persistence of the pain led authors to initiate two separate local infiltrations using 1% lidocaine ten days apart. This resulted in a gradual decrease in pain. Cyriax syndrome is an unrecognised pathology, thus it is important for team physicians to consider this diagnosis when assessing athletes with persistent chest pain

The Observational Effects and Signatures of Tidally Distorted Solid Exoplanets

Our work examines the detectability of tidally distorted solid exoplanets in synchronous rotation. Previous work has shown that tidally distorted shapes of close-in gas giants can give rise to radius underestimates and subsequently density overestimates for those planets. We examine the assumption that such an effect is too minimal for rocky exoplanets and find that for smaller M Class stars there may be an observationally significant tidal distortion effect at very close-in orbits. We quantify the effect for different stellar types and planetary properties using some basic assumptions. Finally, we develop a simple analytic expression to test if there are detectable bulge signatures in the photometry of a system. We find that close in for smaller M Class stars there may be an observationally significant signature that may manifest itself in both in-transit bulge signatures and ellipsoidal variations.Comment: 8 pages, 5 figures, accepted for publication in MNRA

Perancangan Website Interaktif Pengenalan Cendrawasih pada "Defending Paradise"

Populasi burung cendrawasih menurun, akibat pembalakan hutan dan pengalihan fungsi lahan di Tanah Papua. EcoNusa membuat kampanye "Defending Paradise" untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai isu ini. EcoNusa sudah berkolaborasi dengan Cornell Lab of Ornithology dan mitra lainnya untuk mencapai tujuan ini. Sayangnya, berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan penulis, tidak banyak orang tahu tentang berbagai jenis burung cendrawasih dan kampanye ini. Sehingga, penulis memutuskan untuk membuat website interaktif berdasarkan metode desain IDEO (2015), yang bertujuan untuk mengenalkan berbagai jenis cendrawasih kepada masyarakat, dan memberikan wadah untuk mereka yang ingin berpartisipasi dalam kampanye "Defending Paradise"
