Drivers of and barriers to the SME internationalisation process in a small open economy
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have actively increased their participation in international markets. This research's primary objective was to identify, based on 11 case studies, the main barriers to and drivers of the SME internationalisation process in a small open economy. Content analysis of in-depth interviews used Leximancer software to identify 7 themes that describe both internal and external barriers and 12 themes that characterise drivers, which were classified into five groups: SME human capital, technology, institutional support, networks and other drivers.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

The Effective Particle-Hole Interaction and the Optical Response of Simple Metal Clusters
Following Sham and Rice [L. J. Sham, T. M. Rice, Phys. Rev. 144 (1966) 708]
the correlated motion of particle-hole pairs is studied, starting from the
general two-particle Greens function. In this way we derive a matrix equation
for eigenvalues and wave functions, respectively, of the general type of
collective excitation of a N-particle system. The interplay between excitons
and plasmons is fully described by this new set of equations. As a by-product
we obtain - at least a-posteriori - a justification for the use of the TDLDA

Probabilistic Approach to Time-Dependent Load-Transfer Models of Fracture
A probabilistic method for solving time-dependent load-transfer models of
fracture is developed. It is applicable to any rule of load redistribution,
i.e, local, hierarchical, etc. In the new method, the fluctuations are
generated during the breaking process (annealed randomness) while in the usual
method, the random lifetimes are fixed at the beginning (quenched disorder).

Visser's Massive Gravity Bimetric Theory Revisited
A massive gravity theory was proposed by Visser in the late nineties. This
theory, based on a backgroung metric and on an usual
dynamical metric has the advantage of being free of ghosts
as well as discontinuities present in other massive theories proposed in the
past. In the present investigation, the equations of Visser's theory are
revisited with a particular care on the related conservation laws.\ It will be
shown that a multiplicative factor is missing in the graviton tensor originally
derived by Visser, which has no incidence on the weak field approach but
becomes important in the strong field regime when, for instance, cosmological
applications are considered. In this case, contrary to some previous claims
found in the literature, we conclude that a non-static background metric is
required in order to obtain a solution able to mimic the CDM

Equilibrium configurations for quark-diquark stars and the problem of Her X-1 mass
We report new calculations of the physical properties of a quark-diquark
plasma. A vacuum contribution is taken into account and is responsible for the
appearance of a stable state at zero pressure and at a baryon density of about
2.2 times the nuclear matter density in this model. The resulting equation of
state was used to integrate numerically the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff
equations. The mass-radius relationship has been derived from a series of
equilibrium configurations constituted by a mixture of quarks and diquarks.
These stellar models, which are representative of a whole class, may be helpful
to understand the possible compactness of the X-ray source Her X-1 and related
