    PageRank in scale-free random graphs

We analyze the distribution of PageRank on a directed configuration model and show that as the size of the graph grows to infinity it can be closely approximated by the PageRank of the root node of an appropriately constructed tree. This tree approximation is in turn related to the solution of a linear stochastic fixed point equation that has been thoroughly studied in the recent literature

Mean Field Analysis of Personalized PageRank with Implications for Local Graph Clustering

    Get PDF
International audienceWe analyse a mean-field model of Personalized PageRank on the Erdos-Renyi random graph containing a denser planted Erdos-Renyi subgraph. We investigate the regimes where the values of Personalized PageRank concentrate around the mean-field value. We also study the optimization of the damping factor, the only parameter in Personalized PageRank. Our theoretical results help to understand the applicability of Personalized PageRank and its limitations for local graph clustering
