Geometric Low-Energy Effective Action in a Doubled Spacetime
The ten-dimensional supergravity theory is a geometric low-energy effective
theory and the equations of motion for its fields can be obtained from string
theory by computing functions. With compact dimensions, we can add
to it an geometric structure and construct the
supergravity theory inspired by double field theory through the use of a
suitable commutative star product. The latter implements the weak constraint of
the double field theory on its fields and gauge parameters in order to have a
closed gauge symmetry algebra. The consistency of the action here proposed is
based on the orthogonality of the momenta associated with fields in their
triple star products in the cubic terms defined for . This orthogonality
holds also for an arbitrary number of star products of fields for .
Finally, we extend our analysis to the double sigma model, non-commutative
geometry and open string theory.Comment: 27 pages, minor changes, references adde

Consistent Off-Shell Tree String Amplitudes
We give a construction of off-shell tree bosonic string amplitudes, based on
the operatorial formalism of the -string Vertex, with three external
massless states both for open and closed strings by requiring their being
projective invariant. In particular our prescription leads, in the low-energy
limit, to the three-gluon amplitude in the usual covariant gauge.Comment: 12 pages. Introductory and final parts modified in order to make them

T-Dualities and Doubled Geometry of the Principal Chiral Model
The Principal Chiral Model (PCM) defined on the group manifold of SU(2) is
here investigated with the aim of getting a further deepening of its relation
with Generalized and Doubled Geometry. A one-parameter family of equivalent
Hamiltonian descriptions is introduced, and cast into the form of Born
geometries. Then O(3,3) duality transformations of the target phase space are
performed and we show that the resulting dual models are defined on the group
SB(2,C) which is the Poisson-Lie dual of SU(2) in the Iwasawa decomposition of
the Drinfel'd double SL(2, C). Moreover, starting from the Lagrangian approach,
a new kind of duality is found between the SU(2) PCM and the natural one
defined on SB(2,C) which is not an isometry of the target phase space. A parent
action with doubled degrees of freedom and configuration space SL(2, C) is then
defined that reduces to either one of the dually related models, once suitable
constraints are implemented.Comment: 41 pages, revised version published in JHE

An aerothermodynamic design optimization framework for hypersonic vehicles
In the aviation field great interest is growing in passengers transportation at hypersonic speed. This requires, however, careful study of the enabling technologies necessary for the optimal design of hypersonic vehicles. In this framework, the present work reports on a highly integrated design environment that has been developed in order to provide an optimization loop for vehicle aerothermodynamic design. It includes modules for geometrical parametrization, automated data transfer between tools, automated execution of computational analysis codes, and design optimization methods. This optimization environment is exploited for the aerodynamic design of an unmanned hypersonic cruiser flying at Mâ=8 and 30 km altitude. The original contribution of this work is mainly found in the capability of the developed optimization environment of working simultaneously on shape and topology of the aircraft. The results reported and discussed highlight interesting design capabilities, and promise extension to more challenging and realistic integrated aerothermodynamic design problems
TITOLO: PREVALENZA DEL DISTURBO DâANSIA GENERALIZZATO IN UNA POPOLAZIONE DI
PAZIENTI AFFETTI DA MALATTIA DA REFLUSSO GASTROESOFAGEO
CANDICATO: Luigi Pezzella MATRICOLA N°: 277819
esposizione patologica allâacido (AET) definiti âtrue NERDâ (TN), pazienti con âesofago ipersensibileâ (HE) ovvero
A tutti i pazienti Ăš
della pH-MII in : TN, HE e FH.
riportati in tabella 1.
