    Calculation of the static and dynamical correlation energy of pseudo-one-dimensional beryllium systems via a many-body expansion

    Low-dimensional beryllium systems constitute interesting case studies for the test of correlation methods because of the importance of both static and dynamical correlation in the formation of the bond. Aiming to describe the whole dissociation curve of extended Be systems we chose to apply the method of increments (MoI) in its multireference (MR) formalism. However, in order to do so an insight into the wave function was necessary. Therefore we started by focusing on the description of small Be chains via standard quantum chemical methods and gave a brief analysis of the main characteristics of their wave functions. We then applied the MoI to larger beryllium systems, starting from the Be6 ring. First, the complete active space formalism (CAS-MoI) was employed and the results were used as reference for local MR calculations of the whole dissociation curve. Despite this approach is well established for the calculation of systems with limited multireference character, its application to the description of whole dissociation curves still requires further testing. After discussing the role of the basis set, the method was finally applied to larger rings and extrapolated to an infinite chain

    An integrated charge amplifier for a pyroelectric sensor

    This paper presents an integrated charge amplifier that measures a small charge. This charge is generated by a pyroelectric detector. The charge amplifier consists of a single-stage c-annon source configuration with a passive feedback network. The charge amplifier has a bandwidth of 700 kHz and an output noise voltage of 20 nV Hz 1/2 at 1 kHz. A 2×2 integrated pyroelectric sensor based on VDF/TrFE copolymer has been realized. The voltage response of this sensor-amplifier is reported

    Feasibility Analysis of the Service Design for the Geotourism Program in the Lake Camp Area of Alaska

Tourism is a vital contributor to the economic benefit to the State of Alaska. Many of the existing tour programs, although contribute to the local economy, do not facilitate rural community growth or support. There is much untapped potential for tourism programs in rural communities that can be beneficial to the local communities while preserving the cultural, natural and geographical wonders. This report is a feasibility analysis for a geotourism program in the Camp Lake area of Southwest Alaska.     Tunable biohybrid hydrogels from coacervation of hyaluronic acid and PEO‐based block copolymers

    Accurately tuning the macroscopic properties of biopolymer‐based hydrogels remains challenging due to the ill‐defined molecular architecture of the natural building blocks. Here, we report a biohybrid coacervate hydrogel, combining the biocompatibility and biodegradability of naturally occurring hyaluronic acid (HA) with the tunability of a synthetic polyethylene oxide (PEO) ‐based ABA‐triblock copolymer. Coacervation of the cationic ammonium or guanidinium‐functionalized copolymer A‐blocks with the anionic HA leads to hydrogel formation. Both mechanical properties and water content of the self‐healing hydrogels can be controlled independently by altering the copolymer structure. By controlling the strength of the interaction between the polymer network and small‐molecule cargo, both release rate and maximum release are controlled. Finally, we show that coacervation of HA and the triblock copolymer leads to increased biostability upon exposure to hyaluronidase. We envision that noncovalent crosslinking of HA hydrogels through coacervation is an attractive strategy for the facile synthesis of tunable hydrogels for biomedical applications

    Correlated ab-initio calculations for ground-state properties of II-VI semiconductors

    Correlated ab-initio ground-state calculations, using relativistic energy-consistent pseudopotentials, are performed for six II-VI semiconductors. Valence (ns,npns,np) correlations are evaluated using the coupled cluster approach with single and double excitations. An incremental scheme is applied based on correlation contributions of localized bond orbitals and of pairs and triples of such bonds. In view of the high polarity of the bonds in II-VI compounds, we examine both, ionic and covalent embedding schemes for the calculation of individual bond increments. Also, a partitioning of the correlation energy according to local ionic increments is tested. Core-valence (nsp,(n−1)dnsp,(n-1)d) correlation effects are taken into account via a core-polarization potential. Combining the results at the correlated level with corresponding Hartree-Fock data we recover about 94% of the experimental cohesive energies; lattice constants are accurate to \sim 1%; bulk moduli are on average 10% too large compared with experiment.Comment: 10 pages, twocolumn, RevTex, 3 figures, accepted Phys.     This study aims to determine the effect of incentives on employee performance of the Production Department Palm Oil Factory PT. Rohul Sawit Industri. Providing incentives as the independent variable (X) has been formulated that is seen from the aspect of accuracy, feasibility Aspects / equity and financing aspects. While the employees performance as the dependent variable (Y). This study was conducted on all employees of the Production Department Palm Oil Factory PT. Rohul Sawit Industri as many as 65 peoples.Data obtained from questionnaires and subsequently processed to then be tested using statistical analysis as a simple linear regression analysis, t test, and correlation analysis and determination using SPSS.The results showed that the hypothesis testing results thitung 11.205 t test> t table 1,998. This shows that the incentive effect on employee performance. The magnitude of the effect of incentives on employee performance of the Production Department Palm Oil Factory PT.
