EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL NA APA DE CAMPINAS-SP: PARCERIAS ENTRE CRIANÇAS, PAIS AGRICULTORES E COMUNIDADE

O presente artigo apresenta uma proposta de Educação Ambiental desenvolvida na Área de Proteção Ambiental (APA) localizada no Distrito de Joaquim Egídio, Campinas-SP. Através de estudos documentais, deentrevistas com pais agricultores e da análise do Projeto Pedagógico da escola de educação infantil do local, pretende-se explicitar as relações educacionais estabelecidas entre as crianças, pais agricultores, educadores e o entorno onde estão inseridos. As reflexões realizadas indicam que o sentimento de pertencimento torna-se potencializado quando as atividades educativas ambientais envolvem crianças, famílias e comunidade, desenvolvendo o empoderamento tão necessário para indicativos de Políticas Públicas efetivas e eficazes na área

Sorption isotherms data and mathematical models for pear bartlett (Pyrus sp.) with and without osmotic dehydration

This research work obtains the experimental data of pears in natura and osmotically dehydrated (55°Brix and 40°C) for three different temperatures (40°C, 60°C and 80°C). The desorption isotherms were fitted by the most usual models: Langmuir, BET, linear BET, GAB, Halsey, Oswin, Peleg, Chung and Henderson. The average relative deviations between experimental and calculated data were obtained to select the best model. The best model, with a temperature parameter, obtained for with and without osmotic dehydration, was the Henderson. In relation to the isotherms models, without temperature parameter, the best models were Peleg, GAB and Oswin.Este trabalho aborda o estudo teórico-experimental da atividade de água de pêras in natura e desidratadas osmoticamente a 55ºBrix e 40ºC. As isotermas foram construídas para três níveis de temperatura (40ºC, 60ºC e 80ºC) e ajustadas pelos modelos mais usuais: Langmuir, BET, BET linear, GAB, Halsey, Oswin, Peleg, Chung e Henderson. O desvio relativo entre os valores experimentais e os valores estimados foi calculado para cada curva, a fim de se avaliar qual equação melhor se ajustou aos dados experimentais. O modelo que melhor tratou os resultados das isotermas de dessorção da pêra foi o de Henderson entre os modelos que englobam a temperatura. Em relação aos modelos que tratam as isotermas isoladamente, os modelos de Peleg, GAB e Oswin apresentaram o melhor ajuste para a pêra desidratada e in natura.737

Microencapsulation of babassu coconut milk

The objective of this study was to obtain babassu coconut milk powder microencapsulated by spray drying process using gum Arabic as wall material. Coconut milk was extracted by babassu peeling, grinding (with two parts of water), and vacuum filtration. The milk was pasteurized at 85 ºC for 15 minutes and homogenized to break up the fat globules, rendering the milk a uniform consistency. A central composite rotatable design with a range of independent variables was used: inlet air temperature in the dryer (170-220 ºC) and gum Arabic concentration (10-20%, w/w) on the responses: moisture content (0.52-2.39%), hygroscopicity (6.98-9.86 g adsorbed water/100g solids), water activity (0.14-0.58), lipid oxidation (0.012-0.064 meq peroxide/kg oil), and process yield (20.33-30.19%). All variables influenced significantly the responses evaluated. Microencapsulation was optimized for maximum process yield and minimal lipid oxidation. EFFECTS OF SPECIFIC MUSCLE IMBALANCE IMPROVEMENT TRAINING ON THE BALANCE ABILITY IN ELITE FENCERS

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of specific muscle imbalance improvement training (SMIIT) on the balance ability. Subjects were 9 male national team fencers with 28.2±2.2 yrs, 182.3±4.0 cm, and 76.5±8.2 kg. The SMIIT included flexibility training, Pilates, muscle balance training and was conducted for 12 weeks with 4 times per week. As a result, there was no significant difference in COM dispersion among static balance maintaining abilities, but reduction in the COP dispersion was shown.
