    In the context of the transformation of poetic literature from traditional poetry into new poetry, many other new genres of literature have also emerged. Creation is not only determined by the Creator. The social events that he observes in this society have an impact on him. He creates his own literature based on them. At the same time, the socio-political changes taking place in their society bring about a few changes in their traditional tendencies. The British rule in India is the best example. The British who came here introduced their literary forms here. Its impact slightly changed the creative tradition of the creators here. While this change is necessary for the readers of the work, it has become constant. These methods of creation were of great use to make it easier for the ordinary reader to understand ideas that were to be understood by the common man or for ordinary people to understand. In the context of the inability to read or understand the old poems without commentators, a new poetic tradition was greatly needed, and it was this necessity that developed the new poetry

    The key features of McCune-Albright syndrome include sexual precocious puberty, polyostotic fibrous dysplasia and café au lait spots. It is associated with hyperfunction of multiple endocrine glands. Other endocrine dysfunctions often associated are growth hormone excess, hyperthyroidism, Cushing’s syndrome, hyperprolactinemia and phosphate wasting. We had a case of McCune-Albright syndrome with precocious puberty and irregular cycles and was managed. It is a rare cause of precocious puberty and should be kept in mind while dealing with such cases

    Clinical and epidemiological study of bronchial asthma in children & assessment of severity of asthma and its correlation with serum IgE levels

    BACKGROUND: Bronchial asthma is a common chronic disease which is increasing in prevalence among children worldwide. IgE plays a major role in the pathogenesis of asthma. This study was done to assess the correlation of serum IgE levels with various grades of asthma and also the association of various epidemiological factors to the severity of asthma. METHODOLOGY: This is a case study performed over 75 asthmatic children who were attending outpatient as well those admitted in our pediatric ward from October 2011 to September 2012. The study also included 75 healthy controls. Detailed history including passive smoking, duration of breast feeding, family history and age of onset was taken. Severity of Asthma was assessed clinically and by Spirometry. Serum IgE levels were estimated using Elisa kit. RESULTS: In our study there was significant association of serum IgE levels with the severity of asthma (p < 0.005). IgE levels did not differ significantly in different age groups and both sexes. Significant association was present between the severity of asthma and family history, passive smoking, atopic eczema, duration of breast feeding & duration of the disease (p < 0.005). CONCLUSION: IgE plays a definite role in the prevalence and severity of asthma. Estimation of serum IgE levels and assessment of severity helps in effective management of asthmatic children. Anti – IgE therapy will be beneficial in moderate to severe asthmatics. Promotion of breast feeding, avoidance of exposure to passive smoking and other triggering factors could reduce the severity of asthma thereby decreasing the morbidity and mortality

    Comparative Analysis of Contextual Relation Extraction based on Deep Learning Models

    Contextual Relation Extraction (CRE) is mainly used for constructing a knowledge graph with a help of ontology. It performs various tasks such as semantic search, query answering, and textual entailment. Relation extraction identifies the entities from raw texts and the relations among them. An efficient and accurate CRE system is essential for creating domain knowledge in the biomedical industry. Existing Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques are not suitable to predict complex relations from sentences that consist of more than two relations and unspecified entities efficiently. In this work, deep learning techniques have been used to identify the appropriate semantic relation based on the context from multiple sentences. Even though various machine learning models have been used for relation extraction, they provide better results only for binary relations, i.e., relations occurred exactly between the two entities in a sentence. Machine learning models are not suited for complex sentences that consist of the words that have various meanings. To address these issues, hybrid deep learning models have been used to extract the relations from complex sentence effectively.     IN VITRO ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTICANCER ACTIVITY OF ULVA LACTUCA L.USING MOLT-3 CELL LINE

    Objective: The aim of the present investigation was to determine the in vitro antioxidant and anticancer activity of the ethanol extract of Ulva lactuca L. Methods: The present study was to investigate the antioxidant and anticancer activity of U. lactuca L. The extract of U. lactuca L. was extracted by ethanol and subject to analysis. An in vitro antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract of U. lactuca L. was performed by 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl free radical scavenging assay. Simultaneously anticancer activity was also performed using blood cancer (MOLT-3) cell line, and the species showed a strong selective cell proliferation inhibition of the cancer cell line. Results: The scavenging activity was measured and determined to be 78.5%. This might be due to high polyphenolic compounds and flavonoid contents of the extract, which showed maximum growth inhibition of 74.4%. Conclusion: Thus, the study concludes that the constituents of seaweeds can act as potent in treating various diseases and can be used as an alternative for therapeutic treatment

    Corpus Creation for Sentiment Analysis in Code-Mixed Tamil-English Text

    Understanding the sentiment of a comment from a video or an image is an essential task in many applications. Sentiment analysis of a text can be useful for various decision-making processes. One such application is to analyse the popular sentiments of videos on social media based on viewer comments. However, comments from social media do not follow strict rules of grammar, and they contain mixing of more than one language, often written in non-native scripts. Non-availability of annotated code-mixed data for a low-resourced language like Tamil also adds difficulty to this problem. To overcome this, we created a gold standard Tamil-English code-switched, sentiment-annotated corpus containing 15,744 comment posts from YouTube. In this paper, we describe the process of creating the corpus and assigning polarities. We present inter-annotator agreement and show the results of sentiment analysis trained on this corpus as a benchmark

    Cross sectional study on different doses of acenocoumarol with INR in a tertiary care hospital

    Background: It is of high value to be assess the relationship between doses of Acenocoumarol and the INR values to offer better patient care. Since Acenocoumarol is a commonly used drug with a narrow therapeutic range it is essential to monitor the variations encountered in response to it to avoid drastic complications and to provide better health care. Aim: The aim of this study is to compare the INR values with different doses of Acenocoumarol, to compare the association of dose of Acenocoumarol with their respective INR and to find out the occurrence of bleeding with different doses of Acenocoumarol.Methods: The study was conducted in a Tertiary care hospital. 40 patients taking Acenocoumarol were recruited in the study. Relevant details like age, weight, dose of Acenocoumarol, INR and other concomitant drugs were obtained in a prospective manner. Correlation of dose of Acenocoumarol with respective INR was done by simple linear regression.Results: The relationship between dose and INR was analyzed using Simple linear regression and the scatter plot revealed no significant correlation between the dose and INR values. There is a lot of inter-individual variability in the dose response and thereafter the INR values.Conclusions: The dose of Acenocoumarol cannot predict INR values. Patient can ideally be started treatment on a low dose of Acenocoumarol and based on the INR values, dose can be titrated. There is a need for consideration of other factors which influence the dose and INR values.

    Data hiding techniques can be used to embed a secret message and secret image into a video bit stream for copyright protection, access control and transaction tracking. They are some data hiding techniques to assess the quality of video in the absence of the original reference. To avoid the drawback of existing system such as lossless compression, gray scale mapping and noisy images forces higher bit plane when distortion are easily visible.Data hiding is also used for concealment in applications of video transmission, gray scale mapping and noisy image.
