Mitigation of Insider Attacks through Multi-Cloud

    Get PDF
The malicious insider can be an employees, user and/or third party business partner. In cloud environment, clients may store sensitive data about their organization in cloud data centers. The cloud service provider should ensure integrity, security, access control and confidentiality about the stored data at cloud data centers. The malicious insiders can perform stealing on sensitive data at cloud storage and at organizations. Most of the organizations ignoring the insider attack because it is harder to detect and mitigate. This is a major emerging problem at the cloud data centers as well as in organizations. In this paper, we proposed a method that ensures security, integrity, access control and confidentiality on sensitive data of cloud clients by employing multi cloud service providers. The organization should encrypt the sensitive data with their security policy and procedures and store the encrypted data in trusted cloud. The keys which are used during encryption process are again encrypted and stored in another cloud area. So that organization contains only keys for keys of encrypted data. The Administrator of organization also does not know what data kept in cloud area and if he accesses the data, easily caught during the auditing. Hence, the only authorized used can access the data and use it and we can mitigate insider attacks by providing restricted privileges

Sequential Complications of Hypercalcemia, Necrotizing Granulomatous Vasculitis, and Aplastic Anemia Occurring in One Patient with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma.

In this case report of a patient with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL), we describe the occurrence of three sequential complications that have been reported uncommonly in this disease subtype. Firstly, the patient developed hypercalcemia due to elevated 1,25-didydroxyvitamin D. Although hypercalcemia in AITL is not rare (1-2% incidence), this case was unusual in that the complication developed when disease appeared stable and symptomatically, he was doing well otherwise. Hypercalcemia surprisingly resolved a few months later at a time when his disease appeared to be progressing. A year later, the patient presented with digital ischemia necessitating partial amputation of a finger. Pathological exam revealed granulomatous vasculitis of small and medium arterioles with infiltrating malignant T lymphocytes. Although skin manifestations are common in AITL, necrotizing granulomatous vasculitis with accompanying tumor cells leading to severe digital ischemia appears rare. Subsequently the patient developed profound pancytopenia with bone marrow confirming severe aplastic anemia. To our knowledge only one other case of aplastic anemia has been reported in a patient with AITL. We discuss the diagnostic and management considerations involved in this patient care and review similar reported cases

Effects of MoO 3 Addition on Spectroscopic Properties of Lithium Zinc Borate Glass

Abstract The paper deals with the spectroscopic properties of Li 2 O -ZnO-B 2 O 3 glass containing different concentrations of MoO 3 (ranging from 1 to 5 mol %) were prepared by melt quenching. Spectroscopic (infrared, optical absorption spectra and ESR) properties of these glasses have been carried out. The Optical absorption Spectrum contains one broad absorption band at 681 nm, this attributed to the excitation of Mo 5+ (4d 1 ) ion. ESR studies reveal Molybdenum ions are expected to exist mainly in the Mo 6+ state in the glass network. As the concentration of MoO 3 is increased, especially beyond 5.0 mol %, the colour of the glasses increased, that indicating the reduction of molybdenum ions from the Mo 6+ state to the Mo 5+ state. ESR, IR and Optical absorption spectra of paramagnetic ion in the above glasses reveal that the site symmetry of the transition metal ion is elongated octahedral

Architectural Crises in Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks

    Get PDF
Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANETs) deals with cars equipped with short-ranged radios communicating with each other exchanging the information for increasing passenger safety and comfort. VANET will enable both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to roadside communications. Vehicular networking protocols will require nodes, that is, vehicles or road-side infrastructure units, to communicate directly when in range, or in general across multiple wireless links (hops). In this paper we would like to exploit the various Architectural Crisis faced by the VANETS and consider various issues to be addressed by the protocols designed for VANET

Combining ability for grain mold resistance in sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench)

    Get PDF
In all sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) production systems, grain molds can reduce the yield and quality of short duration cultivars if they mature in wet and humid weather. This investigation was taken up to find out combining ability for grain mold resistance under 4 environmental conditions by studying 168 hybrids and their parents along with checks. The pooled analysis of variance for combining ability revealed significant differences due to environments, parents, hybrids and various interactions indicating the existence of wide variability in the material under study. The ratios of additive to dominance variances revealed that additive gene action was predominant for inheritance of grain mold resistance (Panicle Grain Mold Rating - PGMR). Among the parents, two A-lines ICSA 369 and ICSA 370 and six testers viz., IS 41675, ICSR 91011, ICSR 89058, PVK 801, GD 65028, GD 65055 in all the 4 environments were identified as a good general combiners for grain mold resistance. These parents can be utilized for the development of grain mold resistant hybrids

Isolation and Characterization of Two PHA Producing Strains Isolated from Soil Sample of Nalgonda District

Two whitish-colored gram-positive strains producing Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) were isolated from a soil sample from Nalgonda district in the Telangana state of India. With the help of Sudan black B staining, ten isolates with lipids, which showed bluish black color were selected from twenty-six bacterial strains which were selected randomly and purified from the serial diluted plate. Among ten isolates, 3D1 and 3D10 isolates were confirmed with Nile blue A and Nile Red staining for their PHA granules producing capacity. These two isolates grew optimally at a temperature of 37°C and a pH of 9. Furthermore, these strains were able to resist NaCl up to 10%, whereas, optimum NaCl required for the growth of 3D1 was 2%, but optimum NaCl required for the growth of 3D10 was shown to be 4%. PHAs produced by the two strains, 3D1 and 3D10, were extracted and quantified, which produced 68% PHA with a polymer concentration of 4.902 g/L and 61% PHA with a polymer concentration of 4.023 g/L, respectively. Biochemical, Morphological and Molecular characterization were performed on these two isolates. These two strains, 3D1 and 3D10, were closely related to Bacillus sonorensis with similarity of 99.51% and Bacillus safensis subsp. safensis with similarity of 99.66%, respectively. The 16S rDNA gene sequences of these two isolates were submitted to the NCBI Gene bank and the accession numbers were also sought

One-step Multiplex Transgenesis via Sleeping Beauty Transposition in Cattle

Genetically modified cattle are important for developing new biomedical models and for an improved understanding of the pathophysiology of zoonotic diseases. However, genome editing and genetic engineering based on somatic cell nuclear transfer suffer from a low overall efficiency. Here, we established a highly efficient one-step multiplex gene transfer system into the bovine genome.Fil: Garrels, Wiebke. Institut fĂŒr Nutztiergenetik; AlemaniaFil: Talluri, Thirumala R..
