Periyar's ideas of Social Justice in Dravidianism

    Get PDF
It was Thanthai Periyar who taught the definition of human life that a life of self-respect is a healthy life. Thanthai Periyar was a self-thinker who fought vigorously for the abolition of caste. He was involved in the struggles to eradicate the inherent discrimination caused by God, religion, and caste, and to create equality for all. One such struggle was the reservation struggle, also called communal rights. It can be seen through this that awareness is given to the Tamils to maintain the victory achieved in the struggle for communal rights. The purpose of this article is to bring out economic discrimination, social differences, the discrimination of man, the one society without caste, which made me a rationalist, the one who advocated a religion other than caste, the principle of inequality, no discrimination, the principle of self-respect, and the countless castes in the same nation

Quantum cryptography for secured communication networks

    Get PDF
Quantum cryptography is a method for accessing data with the cryptosystem more efficiently. The network security and the cryptography are the two major properties in securing the data in the communication network. The quantum cryptography uses the single photon passing through the polarization of a photon. In Quantum Cryptography, it's impossible for the eavesdropper to copy or modify the encrypted messages in the quantum states in which we are sending through the optical fiber channels. Cryptography performed by using the protocols BB84 and B92 protocols. The two basic algorithms of quantum cryptography are Shor’s algorithm and the Grover’s’s algorithm. For finding the number of integer factorization of each photon, Shor’s algorithm is used. Grover’s’s algorithm used for searching the unsorted data. Shor’s algorithm overcomes RSA algorithm by high security. By the implementation of quantum cryptography, we are securing the information from the eavesdropper and thereby preventing data in the communication channel

Medicinal properties of some Dendrobium orchids – A review

    Get PDF
Orchids are known for their aesthetic qualities, and they are often used as decorative items in homes, offices, and public places. While most people admire them for their good looks, others have found practical uses for them. Since a long time ago, people from various parts of the world have used orchids for medicinal purposes. However, the use of orchids in medicine has declined over the years because not enough research has been done to determine their effectiveness and adverse effects

Application of chemometric analysis to infrared spectroscopy for the identification of wood origin

    Get PDF
Chemical characteristics of wood are used in this study for plant taxonomy classification based on the current Angiosperm Phylogeny Group classification (APG III System) for the division, class and subclass of woody plants. Infrared spectra contain information about the molecular structure and intermolecular interactions among the components in wood but the understanding of this information requires multivariate techniques for the analysis of highly dense datasets. This article is written with the purposes of specifying the chemical differences among taxonomic groups, and predicting the taxa of unknown samples with a mathematical model. Principal component analysis, t-test, stepwise discriminant analysis and linear discriminant analysis, were some of the chosen multivariate techniques. A procedure to determine the division, class, subclass and order of unknown samples was built with promising implications for future applications of Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy in wood taxonomy classification

Analysis on performance and emission characteristics of corn oil methyl ester blended with diesel and cerium oxide nanoparticle

There are other issues related to humans, including respiratory problems and even death. The present study deals with the analysis of cerium oxide nanoparticles at different concentration in corn oil methyl ester diesel blend with an optimum concentration of biodiesel of 10% with diesel fuel. The concentration of CeO2 nanoparticles with the COB10 is varied in the range of 25, 50, and 75 ppm. Results showed that the physicochemical properties of the fuel improved with the addition of CeO2 nanoparticles. The brake thermal efficiency (BTE) of the engine is improved with an optimum concentration of 50 ppm CeO2 nanoparticle with the fuel, and it is found as 34.7% whereas, the formation of NOx is increased. The other emission from the engine, such as CO, UBHC decreased with increased oxygen content available in the fuel with nano additives. At maximum engine load, the UBHC is reduced by 11, 16.6, and 20.8% for COB10, COB10 + 25 ppm, COB10 + 50 ppm respectively. Also, the reduced ignition delay reduced the formation of CO and unburnt hydrocarbons. From the experimental study it is found that the optimized nanoparticle concentration with COB10 is 50 ppm, which costs around Rs. 8. Similarly, the total cost of biodiesel with cerium oxide nanoparticles is estimated as Rs. 76/kg
