    Respons Pertumbuhan Dan Produksi Bawang Merah (Allium Ascalonicum L.) Terhadap Dosis Pupuk NPKMg Dan Jenis Mulsa

    This research has been conducted to obtain dose of NPKMg and the kind of mulchs which can improve the growth and production of the shallot. This research had been conducted at Simalingkar B Medan in June-September 2015 using factorial randomized block design with two factors, dose of NPKMg (no NPKMg, 2, 4. 6, and 8 g/shallot) and the kind of mulch (no mulch, black silver mulch, and straw of rice mulch). Parameter observed were plant length, number of leaves per clump, number of tillers per clump, diameter of the bulbs per sample, wet bulb weight per sample, dry bulb weight per sample, wet bulb weight per plot, and dry bulb weight per plot. The results showed that aplication of NPKMg manure significantly affected parameter plant length 6-7 MST, not significantly affected other parameters. Aplication of the kind of mulch significantly affected plant length 2-8 MST, number of leaves per clump 2-3 MST, number of tillers per clump 3 MST, wet bulb weight per plot, and dry bulb weight per plot yet not significantly affected other parameters.     Increased ductility of Ti-6Al-4V by interlayer milling during directed energy deposition

    Additive manufacturing (AM) often results in high strength but poor ductility in titanium alloys. Hybrid AM is a solution capable of improving both ductility and strength. In this study, hybrid AM of Ti-6Al-4V was achieved by coupling directed energy deposition with interlayer machining. The microstructure, residual stress, and microhardness were examined to explain how interlayer machining caused a 63% improvement in ductility while retaining an equivalent strength to as-printed samples. Interlayer machining introduced recurrent interruptions in printing that allowed for slow cooling-induced coarsening of acicular α laths at the machined interfaces. The coarse α laths on the selectively machined layers increased dislocation motion under tensile loads and improved bulk ductility. The results highlighted in this publication demonstrate the feasibility of hybrid AM to enhance the toughness of titanium alloys

    The James Webb Space Telescope Mission

    Twenty-six years ago a small committee report, building on earlier studies, expounded a compelling and poetic vision for the future of astronomy, calling for an infrared-optimized space telescope with an aperture of at least 4m4m. With the support of their governments in the US, Europe, and Canada, 20,000 people realized that vision as the 6.5m6.5m James Webb Space Telescope. A generation of astronomers will celebrate their accomplishments for the life of the mission, potentially as long as 20 years, and beyond. This report and the scientific discoveries that follow are extended thank-you notes to the 20,000 team members. The telescope is working perfectly, with much better image quality than expected. In this and accompanying papers, we give a brief history, describe the observatory, outline its objectives and current observing program, and discuss the inventions and people who made it possible.     Peran Media pada Layanan Bimbingan Konseling Islam di Sekolah

    Pelayanan bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah merupakan wujud yang ditakuti oleh siswa. Jika ditelaah lebih mendalam sebenarnya bimbingan konseling memiliki tujuan agar siswa dapat memecahkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan yang pada dirinya. Media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu alat komunikasi yang dapat memudahkan pendidik ketika proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Adanya keberadaan media pembelajaran dapat semakin populer di dunia pendidikan sejak ditetapkan kurikulum 2013. Teknologi pembelajaran awalnya hanya dapat dilihat sebagai teknologi peralatan saja yang penggunaannya hanya media alat bantu berupa audio-visual serta sarana dengan tujuan untuk mencapai pendidikan. Maka dari itu diperlukan alat bantu menggunakan media pelayanan. Media pelayanan yang salah satunya merupakan bagian dari teknologi pelayanan memiliki enam manfaat potensial ketika memecahkan masalah pelayanan. Empat manfaat itu antara lain: 1) Memajukan kreativitas pendidikan. 2) Memberikan pelayanan bimbingan konseling dengan personalitas. 3) Memberikan pengetahuan dasar untuk pelayanan bimbingan konseling. 4) pelayanan bimbingan konseling yang lebih bagus dan konsisten. Beberapa pendapat mengemukakan bahwa adanya penggunaan media pelayanan dengan karekteristik siswa memiliki korelasi dalam menentukkan hasil belajar. Artinya siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan media yang sesuai dengan karakteristiknya memiliki keuntungan yang signifikan. Oleh karena itu media pembelajaran harus disesuaikan dengan kegiatan pelayanan bimbingan konseling

    Hydroxyl radical generation by cactus-like copper oxide nanoporous carbon catalysts for microcystin-LR environmental remediation

    Copper oxide supported on nanoporous activated carbon (CuO-NPAC) is reported for the aqueous phase catalytic degradation of cyanotoxin microcystin-LR (MC-LR). The loading and spatial distribution of CuO throughout the NPAC matrix strongly influence the catalytic efficiency. CuO-NPAC synthesis was optimized with respect to the copper loading and thermal processing, and the physicochemical properties of the resulting materials were characterized by XRD, BET, TEM, SEM, EPR, TGA, XPS and FT-IR spectroscopy. EPR spin trapping and fluorescence spectroscopy showed in situ. OH formation via H2O2 over CuO-NPAC as the catalytically relevant oxidant. The impact of reaction conditions, notably CuO-NPAC loading, H2O2 concentration and solution pH, is discussed in relation to the reaction kinetics for MC-LR remediation
