Analytical results for stochastically growing networks: connection to the zero range process

We introduce a stochastic model of growing networks where both, the number of new nodes which joins the network and the number of connections, vary stochastically. We provide an exact mapping between this model and zero range process, and use this mapping to derive an analytical solution of degree distribution for any given evolution rule. One can also use this mapping to infer about a possible evolution rule for a given network. We demonstrate this for protein-protein interaction (PPI) network for Saccharomyces Cerevisiae.Comment: 4+ pages, revtex, 3 eps figure

Scene Detection Classification and Tracking for Self-Driven Vehicle

    Get PDF
A number of traffic-related issues, including crashes, jams, and pollution, could be resolved by self-driving vehicles (SDVs). Several challenges still need to be overcome, particularly in the areas of precise environmental perception, observed detection, and its classification, to allow the safe navigation of autonomous vehicles (AVs) in crowded urban situations. This article offers a comprehensive examination of the application of deep learning techniques in self-driving cars for scene perception and observed detection. The theoretical foundations of self-driving cars are examined in depth in this research using a deep learning methodology. It explores the current applications of deep learning in this area and provides critical evaluations of their efficacy. This essay begins with an introduction to the ideas of computer vision, deep learning, and self-driving automobiles. It also gives a brief review of artificial general intelligence, highlighting its applicability to the subject at hand. The paper then concentrates on categorising current, robust deep learning libraries and considers their critical contribution to the development of deep learning techniques. The dataset used as label for scene detection for self-driven vehicle. The discussion of several strategies that explicitly handle picture perception issues faced in real-time driving scenarios takes up a sizeable amount of the work. These methods include methods for item detection, recognition, and scene comprehension. In this study, self-driving automobile implementations and tests are critically assessed

Background: In India, HIV epidemic is in fourth decade and has the heterogeneity. The trend indicated HIV infection spreads from high risk behavior groups to general population. Maternal to foetal HIV transmission rate is found to vary from 20 to 25% in absence of any interventions. Newly infected persons contribute to the total number of persons living with HIV, they will progress to disease and death over the time and are a potential source of further infection. Maternal HIV status directly affects the perinatal transmission and hence the paediatric HIV cases. This transmission of HIV from mother to child can be prevented by appropriate measures. So this study is intended to identify ten years’ trends in HIV seroprevalence among antenatal population at a tertiary hospital in Dhule, Maharashtra, India. Methods: Retrospective study of ICTC evaluation of pregnant women attending antenatal clinic at obstetrics and gynaecology department of Shri Bhausaheb Hire Government Medical College in Dhule, Maharashtra, India. Blood samples were collected after informed consent and pre-test counseling. The samples were tested for HIV antibodies as per WHO and NACO guidelines. The data of ten years period from January 2004 to December 2013 was evaluated to identify the trends of HIV seroprevalence among pregnant women attending antenatal clinic. Results: 309 pregnant women were HIV positive out of 70453 tested from 84608 ANC women during the study period. The overall prevalence for the 10 years was 0.44%. HIV prevalence had reduced from 0.89% in 2004 to 0.17% in 2013. Maximum HIV positive women i.e. 63.2% were 18 to 23 years old, primigravida (53.8%) and from rural area (58.5%). Mother to foetal transmission was noted 10 babies were detected to be HIV positive while 223 were HIV negative. 10 HIV positive mothers decided for MTP, while in 36 neonatal death was noted. Conclusions: Declining HIV seroprevalence rate is noted among pregnant women attending the antenatal clinics from 2004 to 2013. The effective implementation of prevention of parent to child transmission of HIV/AIDS (PPTCT) programmed is helping in control of the spread of HIV

Abstract                                      Introduction : Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) accounts for the majority of referrals to child and adolescent psychiatry services because of the associated poor scholastic performance. Despite the possibility of depressive symptoms in caregivers, there is a paucity of studies on major depressive disorder among mothers of children and adolescents with ADHD in our setting   Objectives : Assessing the prevalence of major depressive disorder and the association of sociodemographic and clinical variables among mothers of children & adolescents with ADHD attending a tertiary care centre. Studying the correlation between the severity of ADHD and maternal depression.   Methods: Cross-sectional study on 150 mothers of children and adolescents aged 5-18 years with ADHD attending the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic of the Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram.   Results : The  prevalence of Major Depressive Disorder among mothers belonging to the age group of 30‒39 years was found to be 20%. Across age groups, 28.7% of the subjects had minimal depressive symptoms, while 10% each had mild and moderate symptoms. We found a positive correlation between the severity of maternal depression and the child’s ADHD. The association of major depressive disorder with medical comorbidities and having another offspring with ADHD was statistically significant.   Conclusion: Owing to the statistically high prevalence of depressive disorders, routine screening for the depressive symptoms has to be considered for mothers when the children are diagnosed with ADHD, with the provision for appropriate intervention.   Keywords: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder; Major Depressive Disorder, Scholastic performance, Sociodemographic and clinical variables,     &nbsp

The advances in internet technology have resulted in the generation of huge amount of data called as Big Data. Recommendation system is a widely used technique for the filtering the huge amount of data and providing recommendations to users according to their interest. Without taking previous user interest into consideration, the traditional recommender system does not provide efficient solutions to the users. In this paper, we introduce recommender system to solve the above-described problems. The proposed recommender system will take into consideration previous user’s interest and active user interest and by calculating similarity it will to provide recommendations to active user

Pterygoid implant: Option for rehabilitation of the atrophic posterior maxilla

    Get PDF
Background: The anatomy of the atrophic posterior maxilla presents many limitations to implant placement. Factors affecting implant placements include poor bone quality and quantity, location of maxillary sinus. Posterior cantilevers on implant prostheses produce complications, such as prosthesis fracture, screw loosening, loss of osseointegration, and crestal bone loss. Pterygoid implants are an alternative to grafting solutions for posterior maxillary rehabilitation. Aim: This systematic review describes various implant treatment options for posterior maxillary rehabilitation. It highlights the use of pterygoid implants as a graftless solution with its anatomy, technique of placement, and advantages. Conclusion: Pterygoid implants have high success rates, less bone loss, and good acceptance by patients thus being an excellent alternative to treat patients with severely atrophic maxilla. Clinical Significance: Pterygoid implants avoid the need for sinus lifts and grafting procedures. They allow anchorage in the posterior atrophied/resorbed maxilla, achieving proper stability, and high rates of long-term succ
