Volodymyr Vynnychenko and the Early Ukrainian Decadent Film (1917–1918).

    Get PDF
The article is focused on the phenomenon of the early Ukrainian decadent cinema, in particular, in relation to filmings of Volodymyr Vynnychenko’s dramaturgy. One of the brightest examples of ‘film decadence’ in Vynnychenko’s oevre is “The Lie” directed by Vyacheslav Vyskovs’ky in 1918, discovered recently in the film archives. This film displays the principles of ‘ethical symbolism’, ‘dark’ expressionist aesthetics and remains the unique masterpiece of specifically Ukranian film decadence

Revealing of the simplest mechanisms of a structure formation

In this paper, results of investigations of the simplest mechanisms of a structure formation are presented. In frameworks of the suggested model the main attention was focused on such characteristics as wiring of the system, clusters formation, dynamics of the wiring. The idea to take into account an influence of the environment factor is employed in the proposed model. Investigations of systems with such principle of a structure formation reveal that the system's dynamics has typical features of self-organized criticality phenomenon. In the avalanche-like processes, which occur in the wiring dynamics, a power law was found with the index close to 1.4. It is independent on the environment factor (which in a sense can be considered as system parameter). The system wiring is approximated pretty well by the Gaussian distribution. The size of the system does not play any role in the dynamics of the model.Comment: 12 pages, 5 figures, submitted to EPJ

DESIGN AND STUDY OF TIME RELAYS

By operation of security circuits and automatic equipment it is often required to create time delay between actuating of two or several devices. In case of automation of technological processes there can also be a need to make operations in a certain temporal sequence. Automated systems of industrial production rather often use electric drives (adjustable) which consist relays (time elements), they allow exercising control on the given algorithm. It can be algorithms of serial switching on or implementation of start of the electric drive in strict sequence including a starting element. The time relay is used in cases when it is necessary to perform automatically some operation not right after appearance of the managing director of a signal, and through the set period. For creation of a time delay there are devices called time relays [1]

THE STUDY OF THE RISK OF CRYPTOCURRENCIES VOLATITY UNDER GLOBAL UNCERTAINTY

The entire international economic space is affected by the aftermaths of both the global pandemic and sanctions shocks, which directly influence the cryptocurrency market. Therefore, the volatility risks of fiat currencies, as well as of bitcoins and altcoins, are increasing. The study focuses on analyzing  the risk of cryptocurrencies vitality under global uncertainty. To that end, To meet the study’s aim, a range of general methods, including descriptive, comparison, analysis and observational methods are utilize. According to the results, the exchange rate fluctuations of bitcoin to the US dollar and bitcoin to the euro are synchronous, which to a greater extent indicates the actual absence of the impact of bitcoin on the world's fiat money. At the same time, the cross-rates of fiat currencies are in direct interaction, which confirms the actual absence of the impact of bitcoin on the stability of the euro or dollar monetary currencies. The conducted research made it possible to identify the main risks and threats associated with the regulation of crypto markets at the level of individual jurisdictions. It implies the improvement of the current digital legislation to regulate the activities of crypto exchanges in order to forestall the growth of the shadow economy

MODELING THE HEMODYNAMICS OF CORONARY ARTERIES TAKING THEIR INTERACTION WITH THE MYOCARDIUM INTO ACCOUNT

    Get PDF
Authors have carried out a study of mechanical properties of coronary arteries (CA), computer-based 3D modeling and numerical analysis of the stress-strain state (SSS) and hemodynamics of the left and right coronary arteries. The arterial wall material was assumed to be linear isotropic, and the blood - a Newtonian fluid. The data on the coronary arteries was analyzed taking into account their interaction with the myocardium.

    Entropy concepts and DNA investigations

Topological and metric entropies of the DNA sequences from different organisms were calculated. Obtained results were compared each other and with ones of corresponding artificial sequences. For all envisaged DNA sequences there is a maximum of heterogeneity. It falls in the block length interval [5,7]. Maximum distinction between natural and artificial sequences is shifted on 1-3 position from the maximum of heterogeneity to the right as for metric as for topological entropy. This point on the specificity of real DNA sequences in the interval.Comment: 10 pages 7 figures submitted to PL

Reassessing Java Code Readability Models with a Human-Centered Approach

To ensure that Large Language Models (LLMs) effectively support user productivity, they need to be adjusted. Existing Code Readability (CR) models can guide this alignment. However, there are concerns about their relevance in modern software engineering since they often miss the developers' notion of readability and rely on outdated code. This research assesses existing Java CR models for LLM adjustments, measuring the correlation between their and developers' evaluations of AI-generated Java code. Using the Repertory Grid Technique with 15 developers, we identified 12 key code aspects influencing CR that were consequently assessed by 390 programmers when labeling 120 AI-generated snippets. Our findings indicate that when AI generates concise and executable code, it is often considered readable by CR models and developers. However, a limited correlation between these evaluations underscores the importance of future research on learning objectives for adjusting LLMs and on the aspects influencing CR evaluations included in predictive models.Comment: Accepted to ICPC'24, co-located with ICSE'24. 11 pages, 1 figur
