The Main Problems of Forming Soft Skills in the Future Career of a Student in a Pandemic

Мета статті – проаналізувати самооцінку студентами рівня розвитку м’яких навичок та перспективи її покращення в умовах пандемії. Для адекватного та об’єктивного дослідження викладених питань найчастіше використовувався порівняльний аналіз. Для цього були проаналізовані теоретичні дослідження вітчизняних та зарубіжних експертів, які включали окремі соціологічні дослідження. Перспективи подальшої роботи полягають у детальному вивченні факторів, умов та механізмів формування та розвитку soft skills у студентів природничих, інженерно-технологічних, медичних, соціально-гуманітарних спеціальностей.Abstract The purpose of the article is to analyze students' self-assessment of the level of soft skills development and the prospects for its improvement in a pandemic. For an adequate and objective study of the stated issues, comparative analysis was most often used. For this purpose, theoretical studies of national and foreign experts were analyzed, which included specific sociological surveys. Prospects for further work are assumed in a detailed study of the factors, conditions and mechanisms for the formation and development of soft skills in students of natural, engineering and technological, medical, social and humanitarian specialties

Shareholder activism in the UK: types of activists, forms of activism, and their impact on a target’s performance

Considering the recent rapid expansion of shareholder activism phenomenon in the United Kingdom (UK) and the vast amount of resources committed to it by corporations, government and investors, its effectiveness has become a crucial subject for investigation. This article analyzes organizational outcomes of shareholder activism in the UK. This research is based on a unique comprehensive database of shareholder activism events during the period of 1998–2008. We provide a detailed account of different types of activists, activism strategies and shareholder demands associated with the events of activism. Our findings show that the effectiveness of shareholder activism in terms of abnormal stock-market returns varies dramatically depending on its form, type of investor and the nature of investor proposals

National Technology Initiative as a Platform for the Diffusion of Convergent Technologies in the Russian Mining Industry

In recent decades, the global processes of technological development of industry, due to innovative modernization, have become comprehensive, affecting both manufacturing and raw materials industries. One of the components of global technological modernization is technological convergence – the combination of technologies from different industries, resulting in a inter-industry genesis of new production methods. Despite the fact that technological convergence is transforming, first of all, the industries associated with the deep processing of raw materials and highly intelligent intangible production, mining industry is in the greatest need for modernization. This is due to turbulent demand and volatile prices for mineral resources in the global market, with the widespread introduction of energy and resource saving technologies. Therefore, the mining sector of the Russian economy is looking for a "fulcrum" in initiating the diffusion of convergent technologies in mining and management processes of industrial enterprises. This "fulcrum" is intended to be the National Technology Initiative, the key target markets of which are fully consistent with the technological requirements of the Russian mining complex

STUDY OF ANALEPTIC ACTIVITY OF TETRAHYDROPYRIDO [2,1-b] [1,3,5] TIADIAZINE DERIVATIVES

Introduction: Our goal is to conduct an investigation of the analeptic activity of the tetrahydropyrido [2,1-b] [1,3,5] thiadiazine derivative group. Materials and methods: Biological studies were carried out on 78 white pedigreed mature sexually transmitted rats of both sexes weighing 230-270 g in the autumn-winter period. The test substances were administered intragastrically at a dose of 5 mg/kg 1 hour prior to the induction of anesthesia. Animals of the control group received thiopental sodium at a dose of 70 mg/kg. As the reference preparation, sodium caffeine-benzoate was used intraperitoneally at a dose of 10 mg/kg. Results and discussion: In the group of experimental animals that received intragastric substance 1 1 hour before thiopental anesthesia, a six-fold prolongation of the period of injection into anesthesia was found, the duration of anesthesia was comparable to that of the control. However, after 16 hours, 33.3% of the rats died, the rest of the animals were sharply inhibited. The original substance with laboratory cipher 2 significantly increases the time of introduction into anesthesia, has a pronounced analeptic activity, superior to that of caffeine. Conclusion: Thus, the conducted studies on the presence of 10 new biologically active compounds based on tetrahydropyrido [2,1-b] [1,3,5] thiadiazine derivatives in the spectrum of pharmacological activity showed the presence of the most pronounced analeptic and antinarcotic activity in compounds with laboratory ciphers 3, 6, 7 and 10. Compound 2, which is 6-oxo-8- {4 - [(2-chlorobenzyl) oxy] phenyl} -3- (2-ethoxyphenyl) -3,4,7,8-tetrahydro -2H, 6H-pyrido [2,1-b] [1,3,5] thiadiazine-9-carbonitrile, the analeptic effect is significantly superior to that of caffeine-benzoate that of sodium

The effect of derivatives of tetrahydropyrido[2,1-b][1,3,5] thiadiazine on hematologic indices of rats with subacute parotitis

Introduction: Regardless of belonging of NSAIDs to one or another chemical group, they all have common side effects that can occur when using these drugs for a long or short period. One type of toxicity in the spectrum of side effects of modern non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is hematotoxicity. Objectives: to study the indices characterizing the red and white hematopoiesis in a clinical blood examination in animals with a simulated inflammation process against a background of pharmacocorrection with original thiadiazine derivatives. Methods: The experiments were carried out on 48 white pedigree mature rats of both sexes weighing 170–210 g. The tetrahydropyrido [2,1-b] [1,3,5] thiadiazine derivatives II, III and V were selected, since they showed the strongest anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic properties in the previous experiments. The animals were divided into eight groups: intact (rats without the pathology), control (with inlammation), referent 1 (inflammation+diclofenac sodium 0.5 mg/kg), referent 2 (inflammation+analgin 5 mg/kg), referent 3 (inflammation+indomethacin 5 mg / kg) and three test groups (with test substances administered at a dose of 5 mg/kg). Administration of the drugs was carried out for 14 days at the above doses. The standard methods were used to determine the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, color index, ESR, leukocytes and neutrophils. Results: In the analysis of the numerical results of the experiment, the valid ranges of values were determined for most parameters under study, which made it possible to use nonparametric statistical methods, including the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, to evaluate the reliability of differences. The use of tetrahydropyrido [2,1-b] [1,3,5] thiadiazine derivatives II, III, V in animals with experimental parotitis was accompanied by an increase in the number of erythrocytes in comparison with that in the control group. Conclusion: The studies of three derivatives of tetrahydropyrido [2.1-b] [1.3.5] thiadiazine, which have a high anti-inflammatory activity, proved that the compounds III and V have no hematotoxicity
