Polyunsaturated fatty acid deficiency and pediatric neuropsychiatric morbidity

Child morbidity and disability is a national problem in any country, and measures to reduce it are the priority for every society. Recent years, children’s diseases such as neuropsychiatric diseases, (24,3%), nervous system diseases (22.9%); congenital anomalies (malformations), deformations and chromosomal disorders (16.2%). The absolute value of disabled children with nervous system diseases as of January 1, 2020 was 157,727. At all stages of the nervous system formation, the process of cell membranes formation, covering both glial cells and neurons themselves (and their branches-dendrites and axons), progresses actively. Cell membranes consist mainly of phospholipids, which are synthesized from long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids coming from food. In an attempt to determine the reasons for the growing disability of the child population, the researchers drew attention to the changed nature of the nutrition of society in general and the child population in particular over the past century. One of the significant components of the diet that affects the formation and development of the nervous system and the mental sphere were polyunsaturated fatty acids, some of which, with an unbalanced diet, can’t be obtained by the body from sources alternative to food. In this review, we observe the experience of correcting the nutritional status of young children and pregnant and lactating women with omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids. Numerous studies have confirmed the fact that there is a relationship between omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids deficiency, neurological deficiency and reduced intellectual abilities of a child. © 2020, Remedium Group Ltd. Tomographic representation of spin and quark states

    No full text
We present a short review of the general principles of constructing tomograms of quantum states. We derive a general tomographic reconstruction formula for the quantum density operator of a system with a dynamical Lie group. In the reconstruction formula, the multiplicity of irreducible representation in Clebsch-Gordan decomposition is taken into account. Various approaches to spin tomography are discussed. An integral representation for the tomographic probability is found and a contraction of the spin tomogram to the photon-number tomography distribution is considered. The case of SU (3) tomography is discussed with the examples of quark states (related to the simplest triplet representations) and octet states

Clinical observation experience of a pediatric patient with primary progressive multiple sclerosis in the moscow office for the treatment of children and adolescents with multiple sclerosis

Objective. To demonstrate the experience of a personalized approach to the treatment of pediatric patients with multiple sclerosis using the example of the Moscow patient population. Materials and methods. The authors describe the clinical follow-up of 79 pediatric patients with demyelinating diseases of the nervous system during 2019, including 39 patients with multiple sclerosis, including one patient with a primary progressive course of the disease (clinical case). Results. The experience of the Moscow office for the treatment of multiple sclerosis in children and adolescents demonstrates the effectiveness of the personalized approach to the treatment of pediatric cases confirmed by the case report of biological therapy by recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody directed against CD20-expressing B-cells for early treatment of the adolescent patient with primary progressive multiple sclerosis. Conclusion. The identification of patient’s groups with different levels of disease activity and different risks of disability progres-sion is highly relevant in the pediatric population of patients with multiple sclerosis, especially in the context of expanding therapeutic opportunities. © 2020, Media Sphera Publishing Group.
