Grinding solvent-free Paal-Knorr pyrrole synthesis on smectites as recyclable and green catalysts
An environmentally benign method for the synthesis of N-substituted pyrroles from one-pot solvent-free condensation reaction of 2,5-hexanedione with various primary amines (Paal-Knorr pyrrole synthesis) on smectite clays as green and reusable heterogeneous Lewis acid catalysts is presented. The use of nontoxic, inexpensive, easily available and reusable catalysts under solvent-free conditions make this protocol practical, environmentally friendly and economically attractive

Digital transformation: A multidisciplinary perspective and future research agenda
Data Availability Statement: Data sharing not applicable to this article as no datasets were generated or analysed during the current study.Digital transformation has had an unprecedented influence on all sectors of business over the last decade. We are now entering an era characterized by the extensive digital transformation of businesses, society, and consumers. Therefore, digital transformation has become a pivotal focus for organizations across various sectors in recent years. Despite differing scholarly perspectives on the concept and elements of digital transformation, a consensus exists that it significantly impacts consumer decisions and necessitates organizational adaptation. Recent challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic have further accelerated the need for digital transformation and its effects on consumers. This necessitates an editorial perspective on this most important topic to establish future research agenda encompassing the various dimensions of digital transformation. The purpose of this editorial perspective is to review research on digital transformation from a multidisciplinary viewpoint and provide insights into several key domainsâInternet-of-Things, social media, mobile apps, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, the metaverse, and corporate digital responsibilityâthat are poised to fuel the pace of digital transformation. Each domain is analyzed through a lens of introduction, role, importance, multifaceted impact, and conclusions. Future research directions are suggested
A study on the impact of bancassurance to the profitability and efficiency of selected domestic universal banks in the Philippines
This study investigates whether or not bancassurance operations has positive effects on the profitability and efficiency of universal banks in the Philippines. Data used in this study were actual data gathered from both primary and secondary sources of the years 2007-2015. Regression analysis will be the method used in determining the significance of the variables. The results of the study reveal that bancassurance has overall positive significant effect on profitability while for efficiency, the overall impact is insignificant. Given the findings, apart from the increasing profits of banks, insignificant efficiency suggests that there will be no additional costs in resources in adopting bancassurance operations. Lastly, the diversification strategy in bancassurance shows an impact on the performance of the banks. Bancassurance is therefore beneficial to banks, which will lead to an increase in the value of the banks
