    Soil-transmitted helminths (STH) are a major public health problem in tropical and sub-tropical countries, also in Indonesia. STH’s infection were caused by nematode such as (ring worm, hook worm and whip worm. This infection affecting the physical growth and cognitive development in school age children. This study was aimed to assess the prevalence of STH infection among school children in Tuare and Lengkeka, West Lore District, Poso Regency, Central Sulawesi Province.  This study was conducted with cross sectional design. The study was conducted in May 2016. Stool smple were collected from school children class 4 and 5 in Tuare and Lengkeka, then examined using Kato-Kat’z method. The results showed that infection of STH due to Ascaris worm were found inTuare and Lengkeka Village, which prevalence were 18.18% and 19.35%. Mix infection of Ascaris and hookworm were also found in both location with the prevalence  were 9.09% and 6.45%. The infection of whip worm was only found in Tuare Village which prevalence was 4.55%. Based on the results can be concluded that the STH infection in Tuare and Lengkeka Village still remain high. The treatment of school children as well as behavioral counseling clean and healthy living were needed to be conducted in both village

    Malaria is a mosquito-borne diseases, that caused by protozoan parasit Plasmodium spp. Indonesia is the second most affected region in South East Asia. This survey was aimed to identify the species diversity and biting activity of malaria vectors (Anopheles spp.) in Ilan Batu Village, Luwu Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The mosquitoes was collected by using the human landing collection technique and collecting mosquitoes resting on the wall of houses and cow barn. The results showed that there were three species of Anopheles i.e., An. barbirostris, An. vagus, and An. kochi. An. barbirostris was the species with the highest density. The value of man hour density (MHD) indoor and outdoor for An. barbirostris were 5.04 and 3.26 respectively.Based on the value of man hour density the mosquito An.barbirostris in Ilan Batu village were endophagic and endophili

    Abstract The bat species biodiversity varies across environments in six different ecosystems based on Vectora 2015 Research Report. These ecosystems were distant forests and near settlements, non forests near and far residential, as well as near and remote coastal settlements. We measured species diversity (Shannon-Wiener index), environmental factors were also measured during bat surveys, ie air temperature, humidity and weather during survey. This paper was a further analysis of Vectora 2015 Research Report. The analysis was aimed to determine the impact of environmental factors to the bat species diversity especially in Tojo Una-Una and Tolitoli District. We found that the temperature and humidity factors significantly affect the diversity of bat species. The highest species diversity found in the forest near settlement, that was 0,3396. Abstrak Data Riset Khusus Vektora tahun 2015 menunjukkan adanya keragaman spesieskelelawar di lokasi riset yang terdiri atas enam ekosistem yang berbeda. Ekosistemtersebut adalah hutan , non hutan jauh dan dekat pemukiman dekat dan jauhpemukiman, serta dekat dan jauh pemukiman pantai . Faktor lingkungan juga diukurpada saat dilakukan survei kelelawar, yaitu suhu udara, kelembaban dan cuaca saatpenangkapan. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil analisis lanjut Riset Khusus vektora tahun2015. Analisis dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh ekosistemdan faktor lingkungan (suhu, kelembaban dan cuaca) terhadap keragaman jeniskelelawar di Kabupaten Tojo Una-Una dan Tolitoli Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah danperannya sebagai reservoir penyakit zoonosis.     Pisang merupakan tanaman yang tumbuh di daerah tropis dan di Indonesia tersebar di 32 provinsi. Pemanfaatan pisang mulai dari pisang segar sampai dengan olahan bunga (jantung), daging, kulit, daun, batang,and bonggol pisang. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengkaji literatur. Artikel ini mengkaji berbagi literatur tentang penelitian olahan pisang dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui potensi penerapan ekonomi sirkular di industri olahan pisang.     Evaluasi Pengendalian Schistosomiasis oleh Lintas Sektor Tahun 2018

    Abstract In Indonesia, schistosomiasis is caused by Schistosoma japonicum with Oncomelania hupensis lindoensis as the intermediate host. Schistosomiasis can infect humans and all species of mammals. In order to achieve schistosomiasis elimination by 2020, schistosomiasis control including environmental management, has been carried out by multi-sectors. A cross-sectional study was conducted in 2018 to evaluate multi-sectoral schistosomiasis control programs. Data were collected by in-depth interviews with stakeholders, stool survey, snail survey, field observation, and document reviews. About 53.6% of control programs targeted in the schistosomiasis control roadmap were not achieved. Moreover, there was no significant difference between the number of foci area prior to the control programs and that of after the control programs completed in 2018. In addition, the prevalence of schistosomiasis in the humans was 0-5.1% and in mammals was in the range of 0 to 10%. In order to overcome the problems, establishment of a policy concerning schistosomiasis as a priority program beyond the Ministry of Health is needed. Innovative health promotion with interactive media is also needed to be applied. Nonetheless, the schistosomiasis work teams need to be more active to collaborate with other sectors and the Agency of Regional Development of Central Sulawesi Province as the leading sector. Keywords: schistosomiasis, control program, multi-sector, evaluation Abstrak Schistosomiasis di Indonesia disebabkan oleh cacing trematoda jenis Schistosoma japonicum dengan hospes perantara keong Oncomelania hupensis lindoensis. Schistosomiasis selain menginfeksi manusia, juga menginfeksi semua jenis mamalia. Untuk mencapai eliminasi schistosomiasis pada tahun 2020 dilakukan pengendalian schistosomiasis oleh lintas sektor termasuk di dalamnya pelaksanaan manajemen lingkungan. Upaya pencapaian eliminasi schistosomiasis dilakukan terutama dengan manajemen lingkungan yang direncanakan bersama oleh lintas sektor. Penelitian cross sectional dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program pengendalian schistosomiasis oleh lintas sektor dan implementasi pengendalian schistosomiasis terpadu untuk eliminasi schistosomiasis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam stakeholder, review dokumen, survei keong, observasi lapangan, dan survei tinja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 53,6% kegiatan yang direncanakan dalam roadmap tidak terlaksana tahun 2018. Perbandingan jumlah fokus yang ditemukan pada akhir tahun 2018 tidak jauh berbeda dengan sebelum kegiatan pengendalian. Prevalensi schistosomiasis pada manusia tahun 2018 berkisar 0-5,1%. Prevalensi schistosomiasis pada hewan berkisar 0-10%. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang dihadapi perlu adanya rekomendasi kebijakan schistosomiasis sebagai kegiatan prioritas di kementerian di luar kesehatan sehingga memungkinkan perencanaan kegiatan yang lebih terarah oleh lintas sektor. Selain itu perlu dilakukan promosi kesehatan yang lebih inovatif dengan menggunakan media yang lebih menarik dan interaktif. Peranan aktif kelompok kerja tim pengendalian schistosomiasis perlu ditingkatkan dengan Bappeda sebagai leading sector. Kata kunci: schistosomiasis, pengendalian, lintas sektor, evaluas

Salah satunya adalah dengan banyaknya pemilik kendaraan atau annada niaga yang menggunakan ban vulkimisir untuk dipasang di roda belakang, dengan tujuan untuk penghematan biaya operasional, meskipun harga atau ongkos vulkanisir mengalami peningkatan hampir tiga kah lipat yang disebabkan harga bahan baku karet mentah dan tern meningkat hampir tiga kali lipat juga. Masih dirasakan adanya penghematan apabila menggunakan ban vulkanisir, dalam skala yang luas berarti penghematan antara 19 % -45% biaya kendaraan (Sumber: KeIjasama AP31-YAKIND, Lokukuryu Pemburuun Telupuk Bun, Jakarta 7 Juli 1997).     Energy cannot be separated from human life. Increased energy needs for human life that are contradictory to existing fossil fuel sources can cause an energy crisis. Biomass is an alternative energy source that is environmentally friendly, economical and renewable. Biomass energy is derived from plants such as wood, rice hulls, corn head, etc. The process of converting biomass into energy can be done in several ways. They are combustion, pyrolysis, and gasification. Gasification is a technology for converting solid materials into syngas (CO, H2, and CH4) which can be used as a fuel. One of the gasifiers that have been developed is a downdraft system. The solid material we use in this study is a mahogany wood powder which has a cellulose content of up to 46.8%. Through this research, we can find out the effect of the variable of raw materials weight towards the time of flame, the quality of the fire, and the amount of gas produced. The gas produced was tested visually by lighting the fire and instrumentally tested using a tool called Chromatography Gas to determine the composition of the gas. The biggest yield syngas is 70,71% with the 18,000 seconds gas release time on the variable of mahogany wood powder weight of 3500 grams. The highest CH4 and CO Gas concentrations were 1,868% and 15.902% on the variable of 3,500 gram mahogany powder weight. While the highest concentration of H2 gas is 20.965% produced with the variable of 2,500 gram mahogany powder weight. The results of this study indicate that the more feed in the gasifier, the greater the number and composition of syngas and the longer the gas release time
