Pengaruh Jumlah Wisatawan, Jumlah Hotel, PDRB Terhadap Penerimaan Pajak Hotel

The aim of the research is to find out effect the number of tourist, number of Hotel PDRB that become the factors determining tax revenue of hotels in Pekanbaru City. The hotel tax is levied on the facilities or resort lodging services providers, which include motels, inns, cabins tourism, tourism guest house, guest house, lodging houses and the like, as well asa boarding house with the number of room more than 10 (ten). The results of this study are expected to provide input for the benefit and the Local Government of Pekanbaru, especially the Office of Financial Management. The research was a descriptive study. The methods of obtaining the data were observation and library research. The data were secondary data of time series from year 2007-2014. The method of analysis used multiple regression analysis with Hotel Tax revenue as the dependent variable and three independent variables, namely the number of tourists, the number of hotels and PDRB. The results reveal that the number of tourist, number of hotel and PDRB has a significant influence on hotel tax revenue. The percentage effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable is 94% while the remaining 6% were caused by other factors not included in the regression equations

This research aims to invetigate the effect of budget participation, budget emphasis, organization commitment, locus of control, and task complecity on budgetary slack.While responden is consisted by the structural functionary in governmental institution of Agam Regency. The data was collected by distributing quetionnaires to 108 repondents, but only 78 respondents who fill out the questionnaires. The analysis tool used is multiple regression using SPSS program version 21. The results show that budget participation, budget emphasis, organization commitment, locus of control, and tas complecity have significant effect and poitive impact on budgetary slack. Pengaruh Penyajian Laporan Keuangan dan Aksesibilitas Laporan Keuangan terhadap Akuntabilitas Pengelolaan Keuangan Daerah (Studi pada Skpd Kabupaten Bengkalis)

This study aims to (1) examine the effect of the financial statement presentation of the financial management accountability and (2) examine the effect of the accessibility of the financial statements to the accountability of financial management. The method used in this research is total sampling method. Data of this study uses primary data, directly through a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 20. The data were analyzed to test the hypothesis using multiple regression analysis approach. The results showed that the effect on the financial statement presentation of financial management accountability and accessibility affect the accountability of financial management. The test results which found significant results due to the better presentation of the financial statements and the accessibility of the financial statements will be good also government against users of financial statements

Effect of Energy Gain and Loss in Breathing Pattern of Solitary Wave for Nonlinear Equation

Nonlinear phenomena like soliton propagate over long distance in transmit information, without dispersion energy due to the properties of the solitons, which has balanced of the nonlinearity effect and dispersion effect resulted the signal undistorted and symmetric bell shape curve. We study about the properties and breathing pattern of solitary wave of pulses in absence and present of energy loss, by using one dimensional nonlinear equation; cubic-quintic complex Ginzburg-Landau equation (cqCGLE). Breathing pattern of soliton behaviour is constructed with hyperbolic sine and hyperbolic tangent as initial amplitude profile and observed by means of numerical simulation. Resulting in observation of breathing pattern of soliton in term of energy loss and gain while travelling, but it still maintains spatial localization of wave energy in the changing pulses shape through a unique dissipative soliton.Keywords— Soliton, nonlinearity, dispersion, breathing, energy

Salovum Egg Yolk Containing Antisecretory Factor As an Adjunct Therapy in Severe Cholera in Adult Males: A Pilot Study

Cholera involves stimulation of intestinal secretory process in response to cholera toxin leading to profuse watery diarrhoea that might cause death due to dehydration unless timely rehydration therapy is initiated. Efforts to identify and test potential antisecretory agents are ongoing. Antisecretory factor (AF) is a naturally-occurring protein produced in the human secretory organs, including the intestine, with antisectory properties demonstrated in animal and human models of secretory diarrhoea. Salovum egg yolk powder contains proteins with antisecretory properties in a much higher (500 times) concentration than that of normal hen eggs. This is achieved by feeding hens with specially-processed cereals, capable of inducing proteins with antisecretory properties in the yolk. The aim of the study was to examine the effect of Salovum egg yolk powder containing AF in the treatment of adult cholera patients. In an open, randomized controlled trial (pilot study), 40 adult male patients with severe cholera were studied: 20 received standard treatment (oral rehydration solution, antibiotic, and usual hospital diet) plus Salovum egg yolk powder (study group) and 20 received standard treatment alone (control group). All the patients received tablet doxycycline (300 mg) once immediately after randomization. Written informed consent was obtained from each subject before enrollment. The main outcome measures were stool weight and duration of diarrhoea. The demographic and baseline clinical characteristics of the study patients were comparable between the groups. No significant differences were found in the mean stool weight, g/kg of body-weight during the first 24 hours [study vs control group, mean±standard deviation (SD), 218±119 vs 195±136], second 24 hours (mean±SD, 23±39 vs 22±34), and cumulative up to 72 hours (mean±SD, 245±152 vs 218±169). The duration (hours) of diarrhoea after admission in the hospital was also similar in both the groups (mean±SD, 33±14 vs 32±10). No adverse effect was observed. Salovum egg powder containing AF as an adjunct therapy in the treatment of severe cholera could not demonstrate any beneficial effect. Further studies with higher doses of Salovum egg yolk powder might be considered in future to establish its antisecretory effect

Modeling of Potato Shelf Life on Evaporative Cooling Storage

A model of evaporative cooling storage system was designed to increase potato shelf life for improving potato storage system. Two cultivars of potato ‘Diamant’ (100 gm and 51 gm per tuber) and ‘LalPakri (23 gm and 11 gm per tuber) were placed on four shelves of the bin. Each shelf holds 240 kg of potato from 23 march 2013 to December 2013. Potato spoilage, sprouting, shrinkage, moisture content, vitamin C and total sugar content of potato were measured. Experimental results revealed that potato spoilage progressively increased from April to November and sprouting of potato gradually increased from June to October, but stopped in November. The cumulative spoilage and sprouting were much lower in the improved bin compared to traditional farmer’s practices. Shrinkage of potato was found higher in farmer’s practice than that of storage bin from October to November. Moisture content of potato was higher during May and reduced gradually to the lowest value during November in both of practices. No significant difference was found in two practices on vitamin-C content. Sugar content of ‘Diamant; potato was lower in the storage bin during November. According to data analysis and regression curve storage bin model was more appropriate for both cultivars than farmer practice and significantly more appropriate for ‘LalPakri’ potato
