    Di banyak negara di seluruh dunia, ada peningkatan penekanan pada peningkatan pembelajaran sains melalui pendidikan STEM. Literasi pendidikan STEM harus lebih banyak dianalisa di Indonesia. Sebagai contoh, mengembangkan beberapa metode atau pendekatan tentang pendidikan STEM masih dikembangkan oleh banyak peneliti dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pendidikan STEM. Namun, pra-penelitian tentang literasi siswa tentang pendidikan STEM harus dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik murid Indonesia. Tulisan ini menyajikan fakta tentang pendidikan STEM di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Tangerang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan randomized control group pretest and posttest. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan beberapa bukti indikator pendidikan STEM yang dapat membantu peneliti lain untuk mengembangkan pendidikan STEM di Indonesia. Ada kebutuhan untuk penelitian tentang pendidikan STEM untuk memberikan para siswa dengan keterampilan abad 21. Namun, kami menyarankan untuk mengembangkan STEM Education yang berfokus pada siswa Indonesia dan kondisi fasilitas sekolah

    Background: Cardiovascular disease is a prevalent disease that occured on human population in this world. This disease was in second position in the most deadly disease after infection. One of cardiovascular disease that become prevalent lately in Indonesia was coronary heart disease. Coronary heart disease have many risk factors, one of them is pathological condition of artery blood vessel inner wall, that suspected by some doctors can be caused by bacterial activity from periodontal disease, a disease that most people think harmless. The previous researchs already suspected that there are relation from this two disease, but none of them can define the real realtionship, because of to many confound factors. The aim of this research is to find out wether there any conection beetwen periodontal disease and coronar heart disease or not.Methods: This was a descriptive-analytical research with Case-control approach, the samples are 35 coronary heart disease patienst, and 35 others heart diseases patient, all of the samples were treated in second and third class of Dokter Kariadi Hospital heart ward. The periodontal index was counted with classification from Russel.Result: Using Chi square test to analyze the characteristics of samples, it can be concluded that hipertension and oral health care have significant relation with coronary heart disease. And using Mann whitney test, it`s concluded that periodontal disease have significant relationship with coronary heart disease. But, because there are more than one variable that has significant relationship with coronary heart disease, we`re using Logistic-Regression test to excluded other confounding factors.Conclusion: There is a relation from periodontal disease and coronary heart disease, but there is confounding factor that is more dominant, it is hipertensio

    Phylogenetic and functional marker genes to study ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms (AOM) in the environment

    The oxidation of ammonia plays a significant role in the transformation of fixed nitrogen in the global nitrogen cycle. Autotrophic ammonia oxidation is known in three groups of microorganisms. Aerobic ammonia-oxidizing bacteria and archaea convert ammonia into nitrite during nitrification. Anaerobic ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (anammox) oxidize ammonia using nitrite as electron acceptor and producing atmospheric dinitrogen. The isolation and cultivation of all three groups in the laboratory are quite problematic due to their slow growth rates, poor growth yields, unpredictable lag phases, and sensitivity to certain organic compounds. Culture-independent approaches have contributed importantly to our understanding of the diversity and distribution of these microorganisms in the environment. In this review, we present an overview of approaches that have been used for the molecular study of ammonia oxidizers and discuss their application in different environments

    Differences in the Effectiveness of Wall Pass and Short Pass Exercises in Physical Education Learning at SMP Negeri 1 Sumowono

    The research is motivated by soccer learning which needs to be improved with wallpass and short pass exercises. The problem faced is how to determine the right model of passing practice for students. This can be seen from the two techniques proposed, namely the game and the wall pass and short pass. Both techniques are assumed to be able to improve the accuracy of passing through various previous research results. The purpose of this study is to provide information about exercises that can be applied in learning football. This type of research is experimental research using a quasi-experimental research design. The experiment was carried out in grades 7 and 8, with each sample of 25 students. The data collection technique with observations was carried out using a questionnaire and carried out objectively by the observer. The data analysis technique used in this research is a test technique. Hypothesis testing is done utilizing descriptive analysis of the average difference test. These results indicate that the group that was treated using the Wall-Pass (WP) method had a significant difference from the class that was treated using the Short-Pass (SP) method. Teachers can innovatively develop teaching tools for other passing methods to improve student learning activities. Students need to help each other if they experience problems in implementing the model, and the teacher must be able to ensure that each student in the group can achieve the goal or complete the assigned task

    Analisa Teknis Konversi KM Minajaya 11 Tuna Long Liner Menjadi Kapal Pengangkut Ikan

    Kapal penangkap ikan Minajaya Tuna Long Liner 11 adalah salah satu kapal dari 24 shipset yang dimiliki oleh PT.PANN. Dilatarbelakangi kapal Minajaya yang memiliki 512 GT sehingga tidak dapat beroperasi untuk menangkap ikan karena regulasi dari pemerintah. Sehingga kapal Minajaya 11 akan dikonversi menjadi kapal pengangkut ikan, skenario kapal pengangkut ikan ini adalah berlayar menuju beberapa titik fishing ground pada WPP 716 di Indonesia. Kapal ini akan melayani dan menjual logistic kepada kapal penangkap ikan berukuran 40-50 GT di fishing ground yang berupa bahan bakar, umpan, es, pertukaran ABK kapal dan penyimpanan frozen tuna. Setelah melakukan proses pengaturan, kalkuasi dan desain, kapal pengangkut ikan dimodifikasi dengan menambahkan bunkering system dilengkapi dengan pompa Iron Gear Pumps yang mampu mengisi penuh tangka bahan bakar 1 kapal penangkap ikan berukuran 40-50 GT selama 20 menit. Dimodifikasi juga dengan menambahkan adsorption system sebuah sistem pendingin yang memanfaatkan gas buang main engine kapal Minajaya dan mampu untuk menghasilkan 500 kg es dalam 1 hari. Loading and Unloading system untuk mengangkut ikan Tuna menggunakan portable conveyor yang disambungkan ship to ship dan diangkut menggunakan provision crane 6 ton. Seluruh desain sistem, konfigurasi, fire and safety plan, rencana umum dari kapal pengangkut ikan dimodifikasi dengan germanischer Lloyd dan SOLAS sebagai acuan untuk memodifikasi yang memenuhi standard. Biaya produksi konversi kapal Minajaya 11 membutuhkan biaya Rp. 2.902.000.000 dengan lama waktu pengerjaan selama 5 bulan dan 6 hari

    This research is based on the decreasing awareness of love for the environment of the nation's future generations. It is necessary to internalize methods or approaches in building awareness in fostering a sense of responsibility to nature and the environment. The environment is a place for living things to live in. Meeting the needs of life has a negative impact on the natural environment. Attention to environmental sustainability must be increased from various aspects, one of which is in the field of education to guide students in fostering a generation of environmental literacy using a scientific approach. Students are invited to observe, ask questions, collect information, reason, and then communicate the results that have been compiled from reading, seeing facts, and various information obtained from various ways and sources. This can be trained through student teacher candidates for primary school education to be applied in carrying out their professional duties as a teacher. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of environmental literacy-based modules through a scientific approach in the low-grade science basic concepts course. The subjects of this study were students of Esa Unggul University Elementary School Teacher Education Jakarta. The research method uses development research using the Dick and Carey model. Effectiveness is measured based on the learning outcomes obtained from the pretest and posttest. The results showed that the effectiveness of using environmental literacy-based modules through a scientific approach, with an average increase of 28%.
