    Clinical practice experience is a kind of learning that must be done in nursing education. Result of job performance of an organization needs measurement standard so the assessment of performance is an essential aspect for hospitals to improve nurse professional performance. Students attendance at nursing clinical practice creates function, role and responsibility in supervisory activities of heads of wards, nurses, and clinical supervisors. Purpose of this study was to assess nurse performance at Jayapura Hospital, Province of Papua in the implementation of medical surgical nursing clinical practice of nursing profession students. Method: Research study was descriptive with cross sectional design. Research sample was73 consist of 7 heads nurse, 58 nurses, and 8 clinical instructor at inpatient rooms and 49 nursing profession students. Data collected at July 2nd until 16th, 2014 by using self-administered questionaire and proceeded using software. The conclusion is availability of the study average performance of nurses was high.     The welding industry is part of the informal sector industry whose work is associated with many hazards and risks that can increase the number of work accidents. With the increasing cases of work accidents, it is necessary to look for the causes or things that influence them so that prevention and mitigation efforts can be carried out. Objective: To determined the factors associated with work accidents among welding workshop workers in the Abepura District, Jayapura City. Methods: This research was conducted in an analytic observational manner with a cross-sectional design. The location of this research was carried out at welding workshops in the Abepura District, totaling 12 workshops. The sample of this research is 41 workers selected by purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate with a chi-square test. Results: The study showed that there was no relationship between age p = 0.671 (p>0.05) and education p = 1.000 (p>0.05) with the incidence of work accidents among welders. There was a relationship between years of service p = 0.033 (p<0.05), knowledge p=0.001 (p<0.05), and unsafe actions p=0.027 (p<0.05) with occupational accidents in welders. Conclusion: There is a relationship between years of service, knowledge, and unsafe actions with work accidents.Keywords:  welding workshop,  work accidents, worker

    Factors Related to the Incidence of Pneumonia in Children under Five at the Makki Public Health Center, Lanny Jaya Regency

    Background: Pneumonia is one of the acute lower respiratory tract infections which is a major cause of morbidity and mortality in children under five years of age, especially in developing countries. The risk factors that cause the high mortality rate of pneumonia in children under five in developing countries are pneumonia that occurs in infancy, low birth weight, not receiving measles, DPT and Hib immunizations, not receiving adequate breastfeeding, malnutrition, and the environment. Objectives: The purpose of this study is to identify the factors related to the incidence of Pneumonia in children under five at the Makki Public Health Center, Lanny Jaya Regency. Methods: This study was conducted at the Makki Public Health Center, Lanny Jaya Regency using a quantitative method with a Cross-Sectional design. A total of 21 cases were used in the study. Data were analyzed using Fisher’s Exact Test. Result: According to the findings of this study, low birth weight (p=0.002) was significantly related to the incidence of Pneumonia in children under five at the Makki Public Health Center, Lanny Jaya Regency. Meanwhile, occupancy density (p = 1.000), ventilation (p=0.1.000), and smoking behavior in the family (p=0.198), were not related to the incidence of Pneumonia in children under five at the Makki Public Health Center, Lanny Jaya Regency

    Factors Related to the Work Stress of Nurses during the Covid-19 Pandemic in the Inpatient Rooms of Tk.II Marthen Indey Hospital

    Background: COVID-19 cases are increasing and nurses are at the forefront of handling COVID-19 patients, so they are at risk of contracting COVID-19. Data at Tk.II Marthen Indey Hospital, there were 12 nurses who tested positive for COVID-19. Lack of personal protective equipment affects nurses in carrying out their duties and work, this condition causes nurses to have pressure on their work which affects their physical, mental, and social conditions. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the work stress of nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic in the inpatient room of Tk.II Marthen Indey Hospital.. Methods: This type of research is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional study design. This research was conducted at Tk.II Marthen Indey Hospital in an inpatient room which began in December 2020-January 2021. The population in this study were all nurses in the inpatient room of Tk.II Marthen Indey Hospital, with a sample using a total population of 85 people. Collecting data using online questionnaires, and processing and analyzing data for bivariate analysis using the Chi-square test, while determining the dominant factor using multivariate analysis using logistic regression test with p-value = 0.05 with 95% CI. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between workload (p-value = 0.000) and job satisfaction (p-value = 0.020) with work stress. Conversely, there is no relationship between gender (p-value = 0.501), age (p-value = 1,000), and education (p-value = 0.136) with job stress. The most dominant factor is workload (p-value 0,000 &lt; 0.01)

    Background: The living conditions of promiscuity have an impact on premarital sex in high school age adolescents, without being carefully supervised, either from parents, school authorities, and components of society in general. This will have an impact on the life process and future of youth as the next generation of the Indonesian nation. Objective: The research objective was to determine the factors associated with adolescent free sex behavior in students of SMU Negeri 1 Mulia, Puncak Jaya Regency. Methods: This type of research is correlational with cross sectional approach, the population is 510 and the sample population is 93 respondents. The sampling technique in this study was to use Proportional Random Sampling, which is a sampling technique from each sub-population by taking into account the size of the sub-population. Data obtained using a questionnaire and analyzed using chi-squere with a significant level of 5%. The research period was December 2020-January 2021, at SMU Negeri 1 Mulia, Puncak Jaya Regency. Results: In the variable free sex behavior, as many as 42 students (45.2%) had done it, and 51 students (54.8%) had never done it. There is no relationship between knowledge (p-value = 0.65; RP = 0.86 (95% CI = 0.55 - 1.34)), peers influence (p-value = 0.99; RP = 0.95 (95% CI = 0.60 - 1.49)), the roles of parents (p-value = 0.67; RP = 1.16 (95% CI = 0.73 - 1.83)), and the influence of the media (p-value = 0.30; RP = 1.32 (95% CI = 0.85 - 2.06)) with free sex behavior of students at SMU Negeri 1 Mulia, Puncak Jaya Regency

    Penelitian tentang analisis kualitas udara ambien sulfur dioksida (SO2) dan nitrogen dioksida (NO2) dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari – April 2022 berlokasi di Distrik Muara Tami Kota Jayapura dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif berbasis laboratorium untuk melihat kualitas udara dengan parameter SO2 dan NO2. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan&nbsp; analisis data univariat untuk melihat nilai minimum, nilai maksimum, dan nilai rata-rata pada setiap variabel penelitian. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kualitas Udara Ambien Sulfur Dioksida (SO2) dan&nbsp; nitrogen dioksida (NO2) pada Distrik Muara Tami Kota Jayapura berada dalam rentang 0-50 sesuai dengan Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Republik Indonesia Nomor P.14/Menlhk/Setjen/KUM.1/7/2020 Tentang Indeks Standar Pencemar Udara sehingga dapat dikategorikan ke dalam kageori baik

    Analysis of Internal Factors of the Jayapura Regional General Hospital Service Development Program

    Background: Hospitals are an essential component of the overall health-care system governed by the Act. Service development is inextricably linked to various factors that support hospital development, such as human resources, adequate infrastructure, and funding sources that are managed in an accountable, transparent, and honest manner. Objectives: The overall goal of this research is to learn about the internal factors of the Jayapura Regional Hospital Service Development Program in order to plan its future development. Methods: This research is classified as qualitative descriptive research. The study was carried out at the Jayapura Regional General Hospital. When the research was conducted in December 2021, there were 13 informants involved in this study, which included the President Director of the Jayapura Hospital and the Service Deputy Director and Head of the Service Subdivision. A Trend Analysis approach was used in the research analysis to reveal the phenomenon in detail. Result: Hospital Service Development Program Internal Factors. Overall HR development goals include administrative, medical, and paramedical personnel attempting to reduce contract staff while increasing ASN staff, specialist doctors, and competent nurses. Targets for patient care, access to hospitals, and continuity of services in hospitals, as well as efforts for infectious disease prevention and control, and integration of health education into health services. Meanwhile, financial management, funding sources, and hospital revenue development management are required, as well as a Business Master Plan to serve as a reference for the development of Jayapura Regional Hospital's financial management.  Conclusion: Development of service programs in accordance with the Master Plan for Facilities, Reshuffle of Management to Full BLUD, Accountable, Clean, and Transparent Financial Management, in order to achieve Jayapura Hospital's Vision of becoming a National Referral Hospital in Eastern Indonesia and the South Pacific Region in 2026

    Factors Associated with Exclusive Breastfeeding in Hamadi Public Health Center, Jayapura City

    Background: The target of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is 80%, but in reality, the agreed target has not been achieved. Papua Province data for 2014-2015 shows that the success of exclusive breastfeeding for babies aged 2 months is only 64%. This percentage decreases markedly in infants aged 2 to 3 months to 45% and in infants aged 4 to 5 months only reaches 14%. The success of exclusive breastfeeding of 15,983 babies aged 6 months, only 3,302 of them were breastfed, about 20.6% of them were exclusively breastfed. Objective: To analyze the factors associated with exclusive breastfeeding for infants in the working area of the Hamadi Public Health Center, Jayapura City. Methods: This type of research is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional approach. This research was conducted in September 2020 - January 2021. The total population was 412 people and a sample of 100 people using a simple random sampling technique. The data was obtained using a questionnaire and analyzed using chi-square and binary logistic regression with a significant level of 5%. Results: Factors related to the exclusive breastfeeding are attitude (p-value = 0.009, RP = 3.563, 95% CI = 1.336-9.502) , family support (p-value = 0.005, RP = 3.467, 95% CI = 1.429-8.408) and health personnel support (p-value = 0.001, RP = 4.206, 95% CI = 1.764-10.025), while the factors that are not associated with exclusive breastfeeding, namely knowledge (p-value = 0.050, RP = 2.563, 95% CI = 0.986-6.662), age (p-value = 0.157), education (p-value = 0.186), and occupation (p-value = 0.571). The most dominant risk factor is attitude, where mothers with positive attitudes have a 2.864 times greater chance of giving exclusive breastfeeding compared to mothers who have negative attitudes

    Analysis of Drug Management at Tingginambut Public Health Center in Puncak Jaya Regency

    Background: Good drug management is needed to prevent losses due to errors in planning, storing and dispensing drugs, resulting in drug loss / expiration due to disuse or storage methods. For this reason, input, process and output are very important to be analyzed for future improvement. Objective: To anayze the input, process and output in drug management at the Tingginambut Public Health Center, Puncak Jaya Regency. Methods: This type of research is qualitative which was conducted at the Tinginambut Public Health Center in January 2021. The number of informants was 4 people. Data were collected using deep-interviews and analyzed using domain analysis. Results: It was found that the input of human resources in Tingginambut Public Health Center is sufficient but does not match the specifications of pharmacy education personnel, the facilities and infrastructure for drug storage are adequate, but there is no adequate (closed) storage cabinet. Drug planning process using epidemiological and consumption method by requesting from the Health Office using LPLPO according to the national formulary. Drug storage uses the FEFO and FIFO methods and is arranged alphabetically. Drug distribution is carried out by the installation for Pustu once every 3 months and outdoor activities such as Posyandu services and other activities and is returned again if there is a drug that is not used. Drug control is controlled by the officer every time you take the drug, but it may also happen that the drug is damaged or expired. Recording and reporting is carried out by the head of the Public Health Center as the person in charge of the medicine warehouse because there are no pharmaceutical personnel and there is no management information system or it is done manually because there is no application. The output of drug management at the Tingginambut Public Health Center in 2020 was inefficient due to 7.1% drug damage

    Factors Affecting Work Stress in Nurses in Inpatient Rooms Kwaingga Regional General Hospital, Keerom Regency

    Background: Work stress can be triggered by various factors, both internal and external. Working conditions are one of the factors of work stress. Nurses in inpatient rooms can experience work stress during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data on cases of COVID-19 in Papua Province on December 1, 2020 confirmed positive for COVID-19 amounted to 11,821 people and 200 people died, while in Keerom Regency who were confirmed positive for COVID-19, 141 patients and 2 people died. Data from the Kwaingga Regional General Hospital recorded 16 nurses who were confirmed positive for COVID-19. Along with the addition of these cases, nurses experienced physical and psychological disorders, namely stress due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Objective: To determine the factors that influence work stress on nurses in the inpatient room of Kwaingga Hospital, Keerom Regency. Methods: This type of research is quantitative analytic with a cross-sectional study design. The research was conducted in the inpatient room of Kwaingga Hospital, Keerom Regency which was conducted in December 2020-January 2021. The population of this study was all nurses in the inpatient room of Kwaingga Hospital, Keerom Regency. The sample of this research is using the total sampling technique. Data collection used online questionnaires, and the data was processed by bivariate analysis using chi-square with p-value = 0.05. Results: The results of the bivariate analysis obtained variables of education (p-value = 0.553), marital status (p-value = 0.547), and employment status (p-value = 0.749) were all not significantly affect the work stress in nurses
