The relationship between Islamic work ethics and religiosity on job performance: The mediating effect of work engagement
Regardless of numerous studies on job performance, work engagement, Islamic work ethics and religiosity in workplace, all of these topics continuously remain as the most popular topics discussed among researchers in the recent years. This is because of the continuance of unethical cases and lack of religious realization in the organizations which lead employees to disengage and not performing well. on Islamic religiosity which encourage an individual to apply Islamic work ethics in daily live. Additionally, this study is intended to explore the view from an Islamic organization on the relationship between Islamic work ethics and religiosity on job performance and simultaneously work engagement as the mediator on both variables. The findings of this study show a significant relationship on each variable and mediating effect of work engagement. The findings are supported by one main underpinning theory, namely Theory of Planned Behavior, which focuses on Perceived Behavioral Control. The article concludes with a discussion of the research findings,
implications and limitations of the study, and recommendation for future researc
Moderating-mediating effect of religious spirituality and work engagement: antecedents of job performance
The effectiveness of nursing practices resulting in decreasing patient waiting time, increasing patients’ satisfaction, as well as sustaining high-quality healthcare delivery as a whole. Thus, it is crucial to evaluate nurses’ performance in taking an active part to act quickly and effectively. Yet, patients’ satisfaction is no longer limited to diagnosis and treatment, but services and care they receive. Caring processes have a major influence in controlling patient experiences and formulating their expectations as well as their perceptions of nursing performance. Therefore, this study incorporated the caring process into nurses' performance criteria and aimed to recognize contributing factors to nurses’ job performance. Precisely, this study examines the relationship between workload (WL), supervisor support (SS), moral competence (MC), work engagement (WE), and job performance (JP). This study treated WE as a mediating variable between WL, SS, MC, and JP. This study also incorporated the moderating
effect of religious spirituality (RS) on the relationship between WL, SS, MC, and WE due to the inconsistent findings of previous studies that were found. A quantitative research design was conducted. Data were collected from four general hospitals in Peninsular Malaysia using a cross-sectional method. 718 questionnaires were distributed to 718 Staff Nurses who were sampled using a non-proportional quota
sampling technique. Smart-PLS 3.2.8 was used in testing the study hypotheses. The statistical results of this study indicated that only the direct relationship between MC and JP as well as the direct relationship between WL, SS, and MC on WE were
supported. The result also supports the positive significant relationship between WE and JP. In terms of mediation effect, WE only mediate the relationship between SS, MC, and JP. While for the moderation results, RS was only found to have a significant moderating role in the relationship between SS and WE. Based on the findings, hospitals’ management should give more focus on nurses’ job demands-resources and personal resources to boost their work engagement as well as enhancing their job performance. Finally, the implications, limitations of the study, and future research direction were also discussed in this study

Supervisor Support and Job Performance among Nurses in Public Hospitals
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between supervisor support and job performance among nurses. On the basis of self-reported data from 718 Staff Nurses in Malaysia’s public hospitals, this study found that there is no significant relationship between supervisor support and job performance. This finding indicates that the supervisors were not able to provide the necessary support they need and indicates that the support given to each staff may seem not to work well with many staff. The aim of this study is to investigate the moderating role of religious spirituality on the relationship between workload and work engagement among nurses in Malaysia Public Hospitals. A quantitative correlational research and questionnaire method is applied in this study. Sample sizes of 364 that consist of Staff Nurses were selected through multistage sampling. SPSS and Smart-PLS were utilized as the analytical tools of this study. The assessment of the inner model (measurement model) and the assessment of the outer model (structural model) were conducted to test the hypothesis. The result shows that it supports the relationship between workload and work engagement. But it shows that religious spirituality has no moderating effects on the relationship between workload and work engagement. Future studies might have significant result relating to moderating role of religious spirituality in mitigating the effect of workload on work engagement.
