Fixation of an Anatomically Designed Cementless Stem in Total Hip Arthroplasty
Purpose. The Anatomic Fiber Metal plus stem (Zimmer) is one of the anatomically designed cementless stems to achieve stable fixation by metaphyseal fit. We studied outcomes of cementless total hip arthroplasty using this stem and possible effects of metaphyseal fit on outcomes. Methods. The cementless total hip arthroplasty using this stem was performed for 155 hips. One hundred and thirty-seven hips of 122 patients were followed for 5 to 16 (mean, 9.7) years and entered into the study. The metaphyseal fit was defined as good or poor in an anteroposterior radiograph after surgery. We studied the fixation of the stem and bone reaction on an anteroposterior radiograph at the final followup. Results. Twelve hips had revision, six acetabular components and six acetabular liners. No stem was revised. The biological fixation of the stem was bone ingrown fixation for 136 hips and unstable for one. The metaphyseal fit was good for 83 hips and poor for 54 hips. There were no differences for stem fixation and bone reaction between the two groups. Conclusions. Low-rank constrained multichannel signal denoising considering channel-dependent sensitivity inspired by self-supervised learning for optical fiber sensing
Optical fiber sensing is a technology wherein audio, vibrations, and
temperature are detected using an optical fiber; especially the
audio/vibrations-aware sensing is called distributed acoustic sensing (DAS). In
DAS, observed data, which is comprised of multichannel data, has suffered from
severe noise levels because of the optical noise or the installation methods.
In conventional methods for denoising DAS data, signal-processing- or
deep-neural-network (DNN)-based models have been studied. The
signal-processing-based methods have the interpretability, i.e., non-black box.
The DNN-based methods are good at flexibility designing network architectures
and objective functions, that is, priors. However, there is no balance between
the interpretability and the flexibility of priors in the DAS studies. The
DNN-based methods also require a large amount of training data in general. To
address the problems, we propose a DNN-structure signal-processing-based
denoising method in this paper. As the priors of DAS, we employ spatial
knowledge; low rank and channel-dependent sensitivity using the DNN-based
structure. The result of fiber-acoustic sensing shows that the proposed method
outperforms the conventional methods and the robustness to the number of the
spatial ranks. Moreover, the optimized parameters of the proposed method
indicate the relationship with the channel sensitivity; the interpretability.Comment: Accepted for ICASSP202
Shock Excitation in Narrow Line Regions Powered by AGN Outflows
Outflows in the Active Galactic Nucleus (AGN) are considered to play a key
role in the host galaxy evolution through transfer of a large amount of energy.
A Narrow Line Region (NLR) in the AGN is composed of ionized gas extending from
pc-scales to kpc-scales. It has been suggested that shocks are required for
ionization of the NLR gas. If AGN outflows generate such shocks, they will
sweep through the NLR and the outflow energy will be transferred into a
galaxy-scale region. In order to study contribution of the AGN outflow to the
NLR-scale shock, we measure the
[\ion{Fe}{2}]/[\ion{P}{2}] line ratio, which is a
good tracer of shocks, using near-infrared spectroscopic observations with
WINERED (Warm INfrared Echelle spectrograph to Realize Extreme Dispersion and
sensitivity) mounted on the New Technology Telescope. Among 13 Seyfert galaxies
we observed, the [\ion{Fe}{2}] and [\ion{P}{2}] lines were detected in 12 and 6
targets, respectively. The [\ion{Fe}{2}]/[\ion{P}{2}] ratios in 4 targets were
found to be higher than 10, which implies the existence of shocks. We also
found that the shock is likely to exist where an ionized outflow, i.e., a blue
wing in [\ion{S}{3}], is present. Our result implies that the
ionized outflow present over a NLR-scale region sweeps through the interstellar

2022 Revised Edition and 2010 Edition of "Seito Shido Teiyo" Chapter/Section Changes and Verification of Statistical Data Related to "Student Guidance"
本稿においては、「生徒指導提要」と「生徒指導」に関係のある統計的データについて、4つの仮説を設定して統計的な検討を行った結果を報告する。研究対象は、「生徒指導提要」の2022年改訂版と2010年版、及び「生徒指導」に関係のある官公庁が発表した2010~2019年度の統計的データである。研究方法は、これらのデータについて統計解析を行った。1つ目の研究課題である「「生徒指導提要」の2022年改訂版と2010年版における章・節の変更は、統計的に説明できるか」であるが、多重比較検定(Tukey-Kramer法)を行い、説明は可能であった。2つ目の研究課題である「「生徒指導提要」に関係のある2010~2019年度間の統計的データの違いは、どの程度あるか」であるが、8種類のデータで多重比較検定(Tukey-Kramer法)を行い、13項目のデータ間で有意差があった。3つ目の研究課題である「「生徒指導提要」に関係のある2010~2019年度の統計的データにおける北海道と全国の違いは、どの程度あるか」であるが、多重比較検定(Tukey-Kramer法)では、14項目のデータ間で有意差があった。母平均の差の検定では、「いじめ」と、「不登校(小中学校)」の2項目で「有意差なし」となり、北海道と全国の違いがないことが分かった。4つ目の研究課題である「「生徒指導提要」に関係のある2010年度と2019年度の「教員一人当たりの児童生徒数」と「いじめ認知件数」の関係性は、どの程度あるか」であるが、相関係数の大きさは、2019年度の小・中学校と2010年度の中学校では、「全国」>「上位10県」>「下位10県」の順になった。This research reports the results of a statistical examination by setting four hypotheses about statistical data related to "Seito Shido Teiyo" and Student Guidance. The subjects of the research are the 2022 revision and 2010 editions of "Seito Shido Teiyo" and the statistical data from 2010 to 2019 published by government offices related to Student Guidance. These data were used to perform statistical analysis. The first research question was: Can the changes in chapters and verses between the 2022 revised edition and the 2010 edition of "Seito Shido Teiyo" be statistically explained, and what are the possible explanations contributing to the changes? A multiple comparison test (Tukey-Kramer method) was performed.It was possible to explain. The second research question was: How much is the difference in the statistical data between the 2010 and 2019 academic years related to Seito Shido Teiyo"? Again, a multiple comparison test (Tukey-Kramer method) was erformed. As a result, the P value between the data of 13 items was a significant difference. The third research question was: How much is the ifference between Hokkaido and the entire country in the statistical data from 2010 to 2019 related to "Seito Shido Teiyo"? In the multiple comparison test (Tukey-Kramer method), between the 14 items of data, showing a significant difference. In the test of the difference in population averages, no significant difference was obtained for the two items of "bullying" and "refusal to attend school (primary and junior high school). The fourth research question was: To what extent is the relationship between the number of students per teacher, and the number of cases of bullying recognized in 2010 and 2019 related to "Seito Shido Teiyo"? The magnitude of the correlation coefficient was in the order of nationwide > top 10 prefectures > bottom 10 prefectures for elementary and junior high schools in 2019 and junior high schools in 2010.departmental bulletin pape
