    A number of foreign workers who are currently working in Indonesia is not in accordance with the legislation that exists. The foreign workers doing menial jobs and do not have immigration documents are complete. They are working on a number of foreign investors in a number of business sectors, especially in construction and infrastructure. The type of research that is done is the normative legal research i.e. Research which focuses on positive form of legal norms and regulations. Types of data used include primary law, secondary legal materials and legal materials tertiary. The use of foreign labor by a limited liability foreign investors who invest in Indonesia must comply with the legislation that exists. The foreign workers are only allowed to occupy positions as commissioners, directors, and experts who are accompanied by a complete immigration administrative documents

    An Attempt at Curriculum Improvement through an Evaluation by External Experienced Childcare Workers

     本論は,保育現場における園のカリキュラム・マネジメントを活性化させるために,園外の保育経験者にカリキュラムの外部評価を依頼し,その評価内容と一連の評価方法について検討するものである。具体的には,地方政令市にあるA 保育園のカリキュラムを取り上げ,保育所保育士経験者及び幼稚園教諭経験者によって構成させる7名の外部評価者から,カリキュラムの評価を得た。その結果,外部評価者の勤務経験の違いを反映した,幅広い観点から,カリキュラムの評価できる点や問題点を確認することができた。カリキュラム改善の観点としては,「表記・表現の統一と分かりやすい様式の採用」「園の独自性や子どもの実態に即した計画の作成」「保健計画の作成」「PDCA サイクルによる再編成」「職員間での確認」の項目を明示することができた。カリキュラム改善の一方策として,保育経験者による外部評価に一定の有効性を確認した。 We commissioned external seven childcare workers with experience of early childhood education and care to evaluate the curriculum of a nursery school. Evaluation results reflected wide points of view based on the experiences of each evaluator. It was possible to specify the items of "unification of transcription and expression, and adoption of the plain style," "making of a plan in conformity with originality in facilities and the reality of the child," "making of a preservation of health plan," "reorganization by the PDCA cycle," and "confirmation between the staff" as factors related to curriculum improvement. The validity of the external evaluation by the childcare workers with experience was confirmed as a policy of curriculum improvement

    Genetic and chemical inhibition of IRF5 suppresses pre-existing mouse lupus-like disease

    The transcription factor IRF5 has been implicated as a therapeutic target for the autoimmune disease systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). However, IRF5 activation status during the disease course and the effects of IRF5 inhibition after disease onset are unclear. Here, we show that SLE patients in both the active and remission phase have aberrant activation of IRF5 and interferon-stimulated genes. Partial inhibition of IRF5 is superior to full inhibition of type I interferon signaling in suppressing disease in a mouse model of SLE, possibly due to the function of IRF5 in oxidative phosphorylation. We further demonstrate that inhibition of IRF5 via conditional Irf5 deletion and a newly developed small-molecule inhibitor of IRF5 after disease onset suppresses disease progression and is effective for maintenance of remission in mice. These results suggest that IRF5 inhibition might overcome the limitations of current SLE therapies, thus promoting drug discovery research on IRF5 inhibitors

    Presence of linA-Homologous DNA Sequences in Different Types of Soil and Their Sequence Diversity

    linA is a gene encoding γ-hexachlorocyclohexane dehydrochlorinase identified in a γ-HCH-degrading Sphingobium japonicum UT26 that had been isolated from soil of an experimental field treated with γ-HCH. The presence of linA-homologous nucleotide sequences and their sequence diversity was investigated by linA-targeted PCR amplification of DNA obtained from different soils in the field and in Japan. linA-homologous sequences were obtained from almost all the soils some of which had never been treated with γ-HCH. Deduced amino acid sequences suggested that they can be regarded as fragments of linA that encode LinA. Some common, natural function of LinA in soil was suggested
