PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN ROLE PLAYING PADA MATAKULIAH ENGLISH FOR MEDIA UNTUK MAHASISWA SASTRA INGGRIS UMN AL-WASHLIYAH

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan model pembelajaran role playing pada mata kuliah english for media. Model pembelajaran sering kali digunakan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lebih banyak tentang gejala-gejala. Hal ini sesuai dengan fungsi model itu sendiri yaitu bersifat mencari. Berdasarkan pengamatan di Fakultas Sastra UMN AW proses pembelajaran masih didominasi oleh dosen, sehingga membuat mahasiswa pasif. Untuk mencapai kompetensi pembelajaran adalah melakukan perbaikan dengan menerapkan model role playing. Permasalahan: 1) Apakah model pembelajaran role playing tepat jika digunakan pada mata kuliah english for media? 2) Bagaimana respon mahasiswa setelah di terapkannya model pembelajaran role playing pada matakuliah english for media?. Tujuan: 1) Mengembangkan pemahaman tentang pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kemampuan yang dimiliki mahasiswa. 2) Mengetahui respon / tanggapan mahasiswa terhadap model role playing. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode survey. Instrument pada penelitian ini adalah angket yang berisikan beberapa item kuesioner pertanyaan terbuka tentang persepsi terhadap masalah penelitian. Selain kuesioner, wawancara juga dilakukan sebagai tindak lanjut dari pemberian angket agar hasil penelitian lebih akurat

THE EFFECTIVENESS OF TEAM BASED PROJECT LEARNING MODEL IN ENGLISH DRAMA COURSE

Team based project short film-based is the implementation of the course english drama which is one of the courses in the English literature study program that studies English literary works. The aims of this study were; (1) to increase student creativity through learning models team based project based on short films, (2) knowing the effectiveness of learning models team based project on courses english drama. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative. Methods of data collection using observation, interviews and documents. The results of the research show the learning model team based project  effectively used in courses english drama and making short films that are uploaded on YouTube in accordance with the creativity of students who have been guided in the theoretical material sessions that have been given by the course lecturer. The stages of the project using team based project short film based is; (1) students discuss related to the theme of the short film according to the course, (2) write scripts, (3) students carry out project activities according to the timeline that has been prepared, (4) students edit films and upload them to social media youtube. IMPLEMENTASI STRATEGI KOLABORATIF DALAM PENGAJARAN KOSAKATA BAHASA INGGRIS PERBANKAN BAGI MAHASISWA SASTRA INGGRIS UMN-AW MEDAN

Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi strategi pembelajaran kolaboratif untuk mengajar kosakata perbankan dalam bahasa inggris bagi mahasiswa sastra Inggris UMN-AW. Bagaimana mengajarkan kosakata dengan cara yang tepat merupakan masalah yang sangat pelik di kalangan para pendidik. Sebagian besar mereka menggunakan metode menghafal dimana murid harus menghafal 5 hingga 10 kosakata setiap minggu. Akan tetapi, banyak yang belum berhasil melalui metode tersebut. Pengajaran kosakata membutuhkan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat agar murid mampu menyerap kosakata tersebut dengan baik. Strategi pembelajaran berfungsi untuk memberikan situasi pembelajaran yang tersusun rapi untuk menciptakan suatu aktivitas kepada murid guna mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Salah satu strategi pembelajaran yang tepat ialah strategi kolaboratif karena dianggap pembelajaran kolaboratif dapat menyediakan peluang untuk menuju pada kesuksesan praktek-praktek pembelajaran. Strategi pembelajaran kolaboratif melibatkan partisipasi aktif para mahasiswa dan meminimisasi perbedaan-perbedaan antar individu. Strategi tersebut menekankan pada kegiatan kelompok. THE INFLUENCE OF WORK MOTIVATION ON THE DISCIPLINE OF EMPLOYEES OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT OF SOREANG REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation on employee discipline in the administrative division of the Soreang General Hospital. This study uses a descriptive research method with a quantitative approach, data analysis techniques: validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression test, t test and coefficient of determination test. Data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires, literature study with the research subjects were employees of the administration division at the Soreang General Hospital as many as 24 people. The results of this study indicate a correlation of 0.653, meaning that there is a positive and strong relationship between work motivation (X) and discipline (Y) variables. While the large influence of the work motivation variable (X) on discipline (Y) is 65.3%, meaning that it is a strong influence and 34.7% is influenced by other variables. The advice given in this study is that the better the motivation possessed by an employee, the higher the discipline of the employee. Good work results are certainly based on good motivation. Conversely, if the employee's work motivation is not built properly, it will produce work results that serve as goals and can realize organizational goals, therefore it is expected that the company, especially the Soreang General Hospital, will continue to motivate its employees in improving work performance. Pelatihan Public Speaking Bagi Guru-Guru TK Ulfa Khairuna

Public speaking sangat mendesak bagi semua orang terutama guru. Guru dalam menunaikan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya sebagai motivator, mediator dan guru yang jelas-jelas - bersentuhan langsung dengan anak didiknya, dipandang perlu untuk senantiasa mengembangkan salah satu keterampilannya yaitu keterampilan berbicara. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengambangkan kemampuan public speaking melalui teknik dan media dengan melakukan pelatihan bagi para guru-guru TK Ulfa Khairuna. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan literasi public speaking bagi guru. Sasaran dari pengabdian ini adalah para guru di TK Ulfa Khairuna. This research is concentrated in the aspect of structure especially tenses. The existence of tenses in English is an obligatory in opposite there is no English without the use of tenses. Thus tense has a very significant function in English. With qualitative research, it can be found that several types of tenses are used in delivering sentences of English Friday Sermon. They are the most dominant tense is Simple Present Tense. Then the other tenses used in English Friday Sermon are Present Perfect Tense, Simple Future Tense and Simple Past Tense

The main objectives of this research are to find: 1) what are the personality of the main character in Freud's Psychoanalysis? and 2) what kind of conflicts are experienced by the main character. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This thesis discusses psychoanalysis developed by Sigmund Freud: id, ego and superego. This thesis also discusses the conflicts experienced by the main character: internal conflicts (related to the psychology of the main character) and external conflicts (related to other characters, society, nature or things outside of her)

KATNISS’S REBELLION IN THE SUZANNE COLLIN’S THE HUNGER GAMES NOVEL

This study is propose to reveal find out what kind of rebellion the main character did. The purpose of this study is to analyze rebellion based on inhumanity. And to analyze the rebellion in the novel The Hunger Games (2008). Data collection is by regularly reading novels and understanding the contents of the novel, then finding some existing data. The theory used to analyze the data uses a behavioristic approach theory. This research is entitled "American Selfishness as reflected in Ira Levin’s A Kiss Before Dying”. The purpose of this study is to find out cause of selfishness that reflected American Selfishness that was found in the novel “A Kiss Before Dying” by Ira Levin. The method that has been used in this research is qualitative because this method can provide accurate data. The Data obtained from the novel A Kiss Before Dying consists of 3 Parts and fifteen chapters in each part. Data is also taken from the books and journals concerned with this research.
