PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MISKIN MELALUI PROGRAM CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)

The objectives of this research are to study: (1) the profile of the poor family around corporations, (2) the implementation of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by corporations, (3) the perception of corporations, community, and bureaucrats on the CSR, (4) institutional supports on the CSR program, (5) the community’s participation in the CSR program, (6) the partnership group dynamics of the CSR program, (7) the performance of the community empowerment, and (8) the results and benefits of the CSR program on the poverty eradication; and (9) to formulate a model for the community empowerment strategy through the CSR program. This research used the qualitative method with the case study strategy. The samples of the research were taken by using the purposive sampling technique. The data of the research were gathered through in-depth interview, observation, and documentation and were validated by using the data source and data gathering method triangulations. They were then analyzed by using the interactive technique of analysis. The results of the research are as follows: (1) The types of poverty of the community around the corporations can be classified into structural poverty, natural poverty, and cultural poverty due to the limitations in social, human, financial, physical, natural, and cultural assets. (2) The implementation of the CSR program has been in compliance with the prevailing regulations and the program of PK-BL PTPN – 7 Peduli. (3) The perception of the corporations is that the CSR program is a corporate responsibility and need as to improve the corporate prosperity and sustainability. That of the bureaucrats toward the CSR program is that it is the third party contribution and is obliged to be budgeted and implemented by the corporations, and that of the community is that it is regarded as assistance to the poor community, a capital support to the small scale business, and a social and environmental aid. (4) The institutional support of the local government toward the program includes initiating and facilitating the establishment of the CSR forum, technical assistance by the related parties and extension agencies. (5) The participation of the community to the program includes program planning and decision-making, implementation of activities, group meetings, result usage, and result maintenance. (6) The partnership group dynamics of the program belongs to a good category. (7) The performance of the community empowerment through the program belongs to a good category as indicated by policy, institution, manpower, administration, facility and infrastructure, financing, and supervision and control. (8) The program has been successful in improving the productivity of environment-populist economic activities and the growth of the community’s awareness toward the environmental preservation. (9). The model of the poor community empowerment through the program includes conducting the human resource and populist economic institution development, changing the community’s living pattern-related behaviors, developing micro financial institutions, and holding economic management training of households. PARTISIPASI PETANI ANGGOTA P3A DALAM PENGELOLAAN AIR DI DESA BANDAN HURIP DAN PALAS JAYA, KECAMATAN PALAS KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN

This study aims to analyze the level of participation of P3A member farmers in irrigation water management, to find out the variables that affect the level of the participation, and to find out the implications of research findings on irrigation water management.  The research location was chosen deliberately in the villages of Bandan Hurip and Palas Jaya, Palas Subdistrict, South Lampung Regency.  The research was carried out in June 2018 using a survey method. The number of respondents was 82 P3A members determined using the Slovin formula.  The level of participation of P3A members was analyzed descriptively, the variables affecting the level of the participation were analyzed using ordinal logistic regression, and the implications of the research findings were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis.  The results showed that the highest level of participation of P3A members in water management was 43.90% at the low classification level.  The variables that influence the level of the participation in irrigation water management are the member interaction and the members’ motivation, while variables that do not affect are the group's role, level of knowledge, and members’ activity.Key words: participation, P3A, water managemen

ALOKASI FAKTOR PRODUKSI DAN SISTEM PEMASARAN PADI ORGANIK DI KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TENGAH

This research aims to analyze the factors that affect organic rice production, determine the level of efficiency of organic rice production, find out the marketing chain of organic rice and the prospects for sustainability of the organic rice program after the assistance project was completed. The research was conducted in Central Lampung Regency on March-May 2018. The research sample consisted of 32 organic rice farmers using a census method. Data were analyzed using Cobb-Douglass production function method, frontier production function, and S-C-P (Structure, Conduct, Performance) method. The results showed that the prospect of the sustainability of the program with the SRI method was not successfully implemented and the factors that affected the organic rice production were seeds and compost fertilizer. Farmers in CentralLampung Regency from year to year have always experienced a decline in organic rice production, which has an effect on the level of farming efficiency. The value of technical efficiency obtained was 86.21% and the value of Σbi≠1, so that farming has not been efficient. Organic rice at the research site was marketed from farmers to farmer groups and directly to consumers. FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN PERANAN PENGURUS BADAN USAHA MILIK PEKON DI PEKON GISTING BAWAH

This research aimed to determine factors that related to the role of BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu manager, the changes of customer’s income before and after being a member of BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu, and obstacles were impression by BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu manager to carry out their duties. The research was conducted on Gisting Bawah Village of Gisting Subdistrict, Tanggamus Regency purposively. The samples of this research were 10 persons of BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu manager and 46 customers who is the members of BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu. The research data collection was conducted from March 2017 until April 2017. The research data was analyzed descriptively, by Rank Spearman and t test difference. The results showed that: there is definite relationship between human resource quality variable and work environment with the role of manager of BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu and there is no definite relationship between customers’ support and wage or salary with the role of manager of BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu; there is a change in the customers income level who are members’ of BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu between before and after being a members of BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu, and obstacles were impression by BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu manager were capital and customer complaint problem.Key words: BUM Pekon Mandiri Bersatu, customer, income, management, rol

KEBERHASILAN BP3K RAMAN UTARA KABUPATEN LAMPUNG TIMUR DALAM LOMBA PRESTASI TINGKAT PROVINSI TAHUN 2015

This research aimed to analyze the implementation race of achievement BP3K in Lampung Province, scores and aspects of the North Raman BP3K in 2015, and  the income of farmers assisted by The North Raman BP3K East Lampung Regency.  This research was conducted in North Raman Subdistrict East Lampung District. Respondents of this research  were 53 peoples, that consist of 10 agricultural extension workers who were selected by purposive sampling method and 43 farmers who were selected by simple random sampling. Implementation race of achievement BP3K in Lampung Province was analyzed descriptively. The result of this research showed that achievement BP3K votes in Lampung Province in 2015 conducted by the method of selection requirements, administrative, and field observations. Aspects of assessment were analyzed descriptively using tabulation.  Aspects of assesment  includes: facility, infrastructure, human resources, operational management, and activities.  The five aspects were scored between 2 to 861.  The result of research on The North Raman BP3K provisionally got a score of 783 points, and include the category successfully.  Assisted farmers income increased by 3.9 percent a  year before and after The North Raman being achivement BP3K.Key words: assisted, achievements, BP3

PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT DAN PERUSAHAAN TERHADAP PROGRAM CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) PT BUKIT ASAM UNIT PELABUHAN TARAHAN, KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG

CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is a vital element for company in order to manage good relationship with local people and surroundings. CSR were made to maintain the balance between corporate interests and the welfare of surrounding community. Hence, this study aims to find out the level of CSR Program implementation at PT Bukit Asam Unit Pelabuhan Tarahan, the perception of society and company, and the relationship between the perception and the level of the CSR Program implementation.  The location of this study has been chosen puposively in Tarahan Village, Panjang Subdistrict, Bandar Lampung.  Respondents of this research were 61 of local people and 6 of company staffs.  Data were collected in April - May 2017.  This research used a survey method with descriptive analysis and used nonparametric statistics test correlation Rank Spearman to test the hypothesis. The results showed that the level of program implementation is in a high classification, the perception of society on CSR Program is in good classification, the perception of company to CSR Program is also in good classification.  There is no significant correlation between the perception of society and program implementation, in other hand there is significant correlation between the perception of company and program implementation of PT Bukit Asam Unit Pelabuhan Tarahan. Key words: CSR Program, the perception of society, the perception of compan

STRATEGI PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI PROGRAM PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT KELURAHAN (PPMK) DI KOTA BANDAR LAMPUNG

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of empowerment strategies PPMK in Bandar Lampung through revolving fund programs and computer training and to determine the benefits of revolving fund programs and computer training through PPMK in Bandar Lampung.  This research was conducted in May until August 2014.  Primary and secondary data were collected in this reserch.  The sampling used purposive sampling with 49 research subjects. The data was analyzed by qualitative, and collected by observation, interview, documentation, and Focus Group Discussion. The results showed that strategies of Society Empowerment (PPMK) through computer training and revolving funds was effective, since the implementation of the carried out activities were suitable with the general guidelines PPMK such as, Utilization of funds for productive business were 80%, the amount of funds that had been appropriate for running the business were 71.43%, for the computer trainings the training result used by participants to get a job was 79.58%, the materials application of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Exel that had given appropriately amounting to 67.86 %. The benefit for the participants after the revolving fund was the participants could use the received funds to increase business capital, to develop and to promote the business, then to fulfill the household necessity whereas the benefits for the participants after the computer program was getting knowledge, getting certificates that may use for applying jobs and for opening new computer businesses.
