    Intensitas Nyeri Punggung Bawah Ibu Hamil Trimester III yang Melakukan Prenatal Yoga

    Low back pain is musculoscletal problem that causes discomfort during pregnancy. Prenatal yoga is non-pharmacology method that can reduce low back pain. This research aims to find the low back pain difference of third trimester pregnant mothers before and after having prenatal yoga in Bunda Setia clinic. This is pre-experimental research with one group pre-test post-test research design. The samples are 36 third trimester pregnant mothers with gestational age of 36-38 weeks who join prenatal yoga in Bunda Setia clinic, chosen by consecutive sampling. The data are taken by observing the level of lower back pain before and after having prenatal yoga. The respondents have prenatal yoga once a week for 2 weeks, 60 minutes duration. The bivariate analysis uses Wilcoxon test α < 0,05. The median of low back pain before prenatal yoga is 5, after prenatal yoga reduce to 2 with ρ value = 0,000 < α (0,05) and Z value (-5.233). The conclusion shows there is low back pain level difference of third trimester pregnant mothers before and after having prenatal yoga in Bunda Setia clinic. This intervention is suggested to be applied by medical staff in order to resolve  low back pain of pregnant mothers

    The Effect of Massage Therapy Using Frangipani Aromatherapy Oil to Reduce the Childbirth Pain Intensity

    Background: Pain during labor is one of the worst pains experienced by women. If the woman cannot adapt to it, it may lead to uncoordinated uterine contractions causing a long-complicated labor with the possibility of death of the mother and baby.Purpose: The aim of the study is to observe the ef-fect of massage treatment using frangipani aroma-therapy oil to reduce the childbirth pain intensity.Setting: Pembantu Dauh Puri Health Center Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. Participants: Pregnant women in labor. Research Design: A quasi-experimental research design was used with pretreatment and posttreat-ment groups and a control. The respondents were 70 pregnant women in labor in Pembantu Dauh Puri Health Center Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. Data were collected during scheduled observa-tion and were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney statistical test. Intervention: The participants in the treatment group were massaged with frangipani aromather-apy oil by rubbing and pressing the hand palms to the back region at thoracic vertebrae 10, 11, 12 and lumbar 1 levels. The women in the control group were massaged with virgin coconut oil in the same manner as that done to the treatment group.Main Outcome Measure: This study aimed to in-vestigate the potential of frangipani aromatherapy oil to be used as maternity care in helping pregnant women become more comfortable in the process of normal birthing, based on modified midwife examination form, which contain Numeric Rating Score (NRS), and interviews with the participants to measure the pain intensity.Result: Before the massage treatment, most of the respondents experienced severe pain. While receiv-ing massage without aromatherapy, respondents mostly still experienced severe pain. However, after a massage treatment using frangipani oil aroma-therapy, most respondents experienced reduced pain. There was a statistically significant effect of massage treatment using frangipani aromatherapy oil on the childbirth pain intensity (p < .001).Conclusion: In this study, massage treatment using frangipani oil aromatherapy decreased the childbirth pain intensity

    Miyik-Miyikan Aromatherapy on Postpartum Back Massage Increases Baby Weight Gain

    Back Massage technique combined with holistic aromatherapy treatment can be an effective therapy for postnatal mothers to increasing breast milk production. This study aims to analyze the effect of Miyik-miyikan aromatherapy on back massage. The increase of breast milk production in postpartum mothers can be seen from the baby’s weight gain. This study was conducted at an inpatient Primary Health Center in Denpasar, in June-October to 30 mothers. This study was designed in a quasi-experimental pre-posttest control group with a time series approach. The observation of the baby’s weight gain and breastfeeding satisfaction starts from day 1, day 7, and day 14 after delivery. This study was analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis Test and the Mann Whitney test. The result of the study showed that the Kruskal Wallis test is p <0,05, meaning that there was a difference in breast milk production in the two groups of intervention. Additionally, the Mann Whitney test showed the difference of baby weight on the 7th day to those in the Miyik-miyikan and Cananga group, and on the 14th day in the Cananga, Miyik-miyikan, and Champak group.     Background :Breastfeeding is the best care for babies in early life. Lack of self- confidence of mothers is one of the causes of breastfeeding failure. Breastfeeding self-efficacy can be used to see or identify mothers who are at hight risk for stopping the breastfeeding process prematurely. Interventions that can improve breastfeeding self-efficacy care providing support and counseling during antenatal, perinatal and postnatal management. To achieve successful breastfeeding, WHO has set a special time for contact with lactation counselor orlactation clinic known as Breastfeeding contact.Objectives :This study aims to analyze the relationship between breastfeeding contact and breastfeeding self- efficacy in Wangaya Hospital, Denpasar City.Methods :The study was designed with an observational analytic approach with a crosssectional approach, in Februari-April 2022. The data were collected from breastfeeding mothers who bring their babies control for the first time and or 7 days old. The sampel was obtained by total sampling method, data analysis using bivariate and statistical testing using Chi-square test.Results :The results showed that of 38 respondents, were 73.68% had good breastfeeding contact and 57.89% had a good of breastfeesing self-efficacy.The results of cross tabulation, respondents who had good breastfeeding contacts and had a good breastfeesing self-efficacy were 55.26%. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between breastfeeding contact and breastfeeding self- efficacy in Wangaya Hospital Denpasar City with ρ-value is 0.001.Conclusions : Having regular breastfeeding contact can increase the breastfeeding self-efficacy

    Excessive anxiety during childbirth can cause changes in bodily functions. The impact is that the labor process takes longer, causing complications to both mother and baby. One of the non-pharmacological ways that can be done so that the labor process is gone naturally is by providing complementary massage therapy and frangipani aromatherapy. This research aims to determine the effect of back massage using frangipani aromatherapy oil in the first stage of labor on the duration of childbirth. The type of this research is Quasi-Experimental Design, posttest control group design. The sample is 80 people consisting of the control group of 40 people and the treatment group of 40 people. The sampling technique used is Consecutive Nonprobability Sampling. The data were recorded in the observation sheet. Also. The data analysis was done through univariate and bivariate "unpaired t-test". The results showed that the average duration of childbirth in the control group was 31.25 minutes, while the treatment group was 23.75 minutes. There is an effect of massage using frangipani aromatherapy oil in the first stage of labor on the duration of childbirth at a significance level of 0.01 (p <0.05). In conclusion, there is the effect of massage using frangipani aromatherapy oil in the first stage of labor on the duration of childbirth. It is hoped that midwives will use complementary frangipani aromatherapy massage in providing midwifery care during the first stage of normal labor
