The article aims to assess the level of factors effecting on customer’s satisfaction with The State Health Insurance, study the case of Vietnam. Parasuraman's SERVQUAL model is utilized to measure the influence of five factors on the customers’ satisfaction with the Vietnam’s State Health Insurance. Five factors are (1) Tangibles, (2) Reliability, (3) Empathy, (4) Assurance and (5) Responsiveness. The data is surveyed by questionnaire by sampling selection method from three Vietnamese largest cities with a total of 764 respondents. Based on the results of Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and multiple regression analysis, five factors have positive effects on the customers’ satisfaction. The level of responsiveness effect is highest, whereas the level of empathy effect is lowest. This empirical result demonstrates that the service quality is essential to create high customers’ satisfaction with The State Health Insurance although it is compulsory for all Vietnamese citizens. Improving service quality is the key to maintain a high covered rate of state health insurance, which contributes to ensuring social security. Rice farmers' perception and determinants of climate change adaptation measures: a case study in Vietnam

    Get PDF
The study used Mann Kendall's and Sen's slope tests to elicit rice farmers' perceptions of climate change due to extreme weather occurrences and compared them to hydro-meteorological data. According to the findings, temperatures increased by 0.4 degrees during the last 35 years. While rainfall has increased, the pattern has been difficult to discern. The test results corroborated farmers' perceptions of increased heat spells, but rainfall frequency and intensity vary and are difficult to anticipate. Three adaptation strategies are frequently employed in the Nong Cong district: adjusting the seasonal calendar to alter transplanting and harvesting timing; increasing fertiliser and pesticide application; and changing variety to short-time kinds. Due to the interdependence of adaption techniques, the study used a multivariate probit model. The regression findings indicated that several relevant variables influence the decision to apply adaption methods. Numerous policy ideas for enhancing adaptation to climate change can be derived from the results of this study. District governments must improve their capacity to forecast weekly weather and train how to adapt production to climate change.Le Phuong Nam (Viet Nam National University of Agriculture (VNUA)), Nguyen Dang Que (National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA)), Nguyen Van Song (Viet Nam National University of Agriculture (VNUA)), Tran Thi Hoang Mai (Vinh University (VU)), Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong (Vinh University (VU)), Nguyen Thi Xuan Huong (Viet Nam National University of Forestry (VNUF)), Nguyen Cong Tiep (Viet Nam National University of Agriculture (VNUA)), Tran Ba Uan (Dien Bien Technical Economic College)Includes bibliographical references

    TextANIMAR: Text-based 3D Animal Fine-Grained Retrieval

3D object retrieval is an important yet challenging task, which has drawn more and more attention in recent years. While existing approaches have made strides in addressing this issue, they are often limited to restricted settings such as image and sketch queries, which are often unfriendly interactions for common users. In order to overcome these limitations, this paper presents a novel SHREC challenge track focusing on text-based fine-grained retrieval of 3D animal models. Unlike previous SHREC challenge tracks, the proposed task is considerably more challenging, requiring participants to develop innovative approaches to tackle the problem of text-based retrieval. Despite the increased difficulty, we believe that this task has the potential to drive useful applications in practice and facilitate more intuitive interactions with 3D objects. Five groups participated in our competition, submitting a total of 114 runs. While the results obtained in our competition are satisfactory, we note that the challenges presented by this task are far from being fully solved. As such, we provide insights into potential areas for future research and improvements. We believe that we can help push the boundaries of 3D object retrieval and facilitate more user-friendly interactions via vision-language technologies.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:2304.0573

In recent years, along with the economic achievements is the increasing awareness of commercial health insurance needs, especially in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic. Realizing that the demand is growing but being directly affected from the global disease, the research was carried out to identify factors affecting the intention to purchase commercial health insurance in Hanoi, one of the areas heavily suffering from the pandemic. By collecting 251 subjects in Hanoi as well as using both qualitative and quantitative research methods, the result has pointed out five main factors: (1) Attitude towards risk, (2) Subjective norms, (3) Perceived behavioral control, (4) Perception of products and services’ quality of the insurance company and (5) Income. The analysis and conclusions are made in order to contribute useful recommendations along with documents to both regulators and insurance companies within Vietnam. Get PDF
Rural development is a global relevant phenomenon that needs the particular attention of researchers as well as regulators to achieve the development goals it entails. Considering this, the present study investigates the impact of agriculture growth, agricultural employment and import and rural population growth on rural development in Vietnam. This study is conducted based on the secondary data extracted from World Development Indicators (WDI) from 1981 to 2018. This study executes the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) model to investigate the nexus among the variables. The results show that agriculture growth, agricultural employment and import and rural population growth have a positive nexus with rural development in Vietnam. This study offers valuable insights for rural area development authorities and policy experts to help formulate effective and responsive policies to promote agricultural growth and develop rural societies.Dinh Hong Linh (Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration, Thai Nguyen, Viet Nam), Nguyen Thi Thu Cuc* (Vinh University, Vinh City, Viet Nam), Nguyen Cong Tiep (Viet Nam National University of Agriculture, Ha Noi, Viet Nam), Nguyen Xuan Diep (Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration, Thai Nguyen, Viet Nam), Vu Bach Diep (Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration, Thai Nguyen, Viet Nam), Kwak Busung (Thai Nguyen University of Economics and Business Administration, Thai Nguyen, Viet Nam), Nguyen Nang Hung (Vinh University, Vinh City, Viet Nam)Includes bibliographical reference

Kangaroo Mother Care in Vietnam: A National Survey of a Middle-Income Country

    No full text
Background: Kangaroo mother care (KMC) is a low-cost intervention that is indicated to be a highly effective practice for which adoption and implementation are lacking. We investigated the current provision of KMC in Vietnam and explored differences among levels of healthcare facility. Methods: A survey form was sent to 187 hospitals in Vietnam, representing the three levels (central, provincial and district) of public hospital-based maternity services. Results: Overall response rate was 74% (138/187 hospitals). Routine KMC implementation was estimated in 49% of the hospitals. Where KMC was implemented or was being introduced, half of the hospitals had a written protocol and a KMC-dedicated room, and held educational courses on KMC. KMC was mainly performed by the mother. Skin-to-skin contact was mostly performed for <12 h/day (55%), exclusive breastfeeding at discharge was very frequent (89%) and early discharge was considered in half of the hospitals (54%), while follow-up was not performed in 29% of the hospitals. Participants considered follow-up after discharge as the main barrier to KMC implementation, and indicated education (of both parents and health caregivers) and environment upgrades (KMC-dedicated room and equipment) as the most important facilitators. Conclusions: Our survey estimated a limited implementation of KMC in Vietnamese maternity hospitals, with marked variations across the different levels of maternity services. Areas of improvements include increasing the duration of skin-to-skin contact, arranging dedicated spaces for KMC, involving the relatives (especially at district level), extending the availability of a written protocol, improving the eligibility process, and implementing early discharge and follow-up monitoring
