Purpose:  This research aims to explore the relationship among  human resource policy, job  satisfaction and  organizational commitment  through  the perception of employees working in small and medium enterprises in Vietnam.   Theoretical framework: The human resource functions and related distinct processes that help attract, develop, and retain a company's human resources. They involve employees and guide them to help carry out activities aimed at achieving organizational goals employees (Jahanian et al., 2012).  Business leaders are always cautious when reviewing existing human resource policies and constantly improving to make employees satisfied with their jobs, thereby helping them improve their productivity and commitment to the organization.    Design/methodology/approach:   The qualitative method is based on an overview of previous studies, the research team builds the first scale, then the questionnaire is sent to the experts and conducts a trial survey with 30 employees to control the survey, edit and complete the concepts of the questionnaire. For the quantitative research, data was collected using convenience sampling method from a total of 400 employees and managers who are working at SMEs in Viet Nam. The method of  and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA),  Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were carried out to measure the influence of latent variables on  organizational commitment.   Findings:  The research results show that employees' perceptions of HR policies include selection and recruitment; training and improvement; evaluation of employees’ tasks; stability and promotion in work, remuneration and reward, and encouragement of participation and innovation.  These HR policies have a direct positive impact on job satisfaction and commitment to the organization. In addition, job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on organizational commitment. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the implementation of HR policies to promote employee job satisfaction, which helps to increase commitment to the organization.    Research, Practical & Social implications:  We recommend future research that expands on other components for a comprehensive assessment of HR policies. In addition, it is necessary to analyze in detail the components of organizational commitment such as affective commitment,  Continuance commitment, Normative commitment.   Originality/value: The results of standardized estimation of the parameters of the research model show that the relationship between the concepts in the formal research model is statistically significant (p<0.05). HR policies have been shown to have the most positive impact on job satisfaction in SMEs.&nbsp

An effective method for clustering-based web service recommendation

Normally web services are classified by the quality of services; however, the term quality is not absolute and defined relatively. The quality of web services is measured or derived using various parameters like reliability, scalability, flexibility, and availability. The limitation of the methods employing these parameters is that sometimes they are producing similar web services in recommendation lists. To address this research problem, the novel improved clustering-based web service recommendation method is proposed in this paper. This approach is mainly dealing with producing diversity in the results of web service recommendations. In this method, functional interest, quality of service (QoS) preference, and diversity features are combined to produce a unique recommendation list of web services to end-users. To produce the unique recommendation results, we propose a varied web service classification order that is clustering-based on web services’ functional relevance such as non-useful pertinence, recorded client intrigue importance, and potential client intrigue significance. Additionally, to further improve the performance of this approach, we designed web service graph construction, an algorithm of various widths clustering. This approach serves to enhance the exceptional quality, that is, the accuracy of web service recommendation outcomes. The performance of this method was implemented and evaluated against existing systems for precision, and f-score performance metrics, using the research datasets

Purpose: The study studies the factors affecting access to credit of individual business households in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam. The authors proposed policy implications based on research results that improve access to credit for individual business households.   Theoretical framework: Access to formal credit can be understood in many ways. This article considers that access to proper credit is the ability of a customer to use the capital of a traditional credit institution based on meeting financial obligations - emphasizing the ability to repay both principal and interest.   Design/methodology/approach: The authors chose a mixed method to conduct the study. This is a suitable research method to answer the research questions raised. Mixed methods include both qualitative and quantitative methods. However, this combination is the implementation of interlacing, replacing the two approaches to solve each problem, the research design's specific goal. The authors analyzed Data from May 2022 to December 2022 in HCMC based on the EFA and CFA, using the structural equation model analysis (SEM) method with SPSS 20.0 software and Amos.   Findings: The article's findings showed five factors affecting access to credit of individual business households in HCMC, Vietnam. In particular, the loan procedure factor substantially impacts the five factors affecting credit access.   Research, Practical & Social implications: The study has provided empirical evidence on the factors affecting formal credit access by a linear structural model and provides evidence that factors such as the loan procedure affect traditional credit affecting access to credit.   Originality/value: The authors give some policy implications for state management agencies, credit institutions, customers, and mass organizations, such as increasing the role of local Government and increasing the ability to use banks, E-commerce, design new loan products to help individual business households access more formal capital, and at the same time, reduce black credit

Advanced control strategy of back-to-back PWM converters in PMSG wind power system

    Get PDF
This paper proposes a control scheme of back-to-back PWM converters for the permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) wind turbine system. The DC-link voltage can be controlled at the machine-side converter (MSC), while the grid-side converter (GSC) controls the grid active power for a maximum power point tracking (MPPT). At the grid fault condition, the DC-link voltage controller is designed using a feedback linearization (FL) theory. For the MPPT, a proportional control loop is added to the torque control to reduce the influence of the inertia moment in the wind turbines, which can improve its dynamic performance. The validity of this control algorithm has been verified by the simulation of the 2-MW PMSG wind turbine system

Stochastic control for optimal power flow in islanded microgrid

    Get PDF
The problem of optimal power flow (OPF) in an islanded mircrogrid (MG) for hybrid power system is described. Clearly, it deals with a formulation of an analytical control model for OPF. The MG consists of wind turbine generator, photovoltaic generator, and diesel engine generator (DEG), and is in stochastic environment such as load change, wind power fluctuation, and sun irradiation power disturbance. In fact, the DEG fails and is repaired at random times so that the MG can significantly influence the power flow, and the power flow control faces the main difficulty that how to maintain the balance of power flow? The solution is that a DEG needs to be scheduled. The objective of the control problem is to find the DEG output power by minimizing the total cost of energy. Adopting the Rishel’s famework and using the Bellman principle, the optimality conditions obtained satisfy the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation. Finally, numerical examples and sensitivity analyses are included to illustrate the importance and effectiveness of the proposed model
