    Get PDF
From a research overview of the green supply chain, the paper analyzes the current situation of Vietnam's coffee supply chain when participating in the global coffee supply chain and the green supply chain trend. On that basis, the paper implies a number of policies to green the supply chain of Vietnam's coffee industry, which is one of the key commodities of Vietnam in general and the Tay Nguyen region in particular. Self-learning and self-extra-curricular are issues of analytical and functional understanding of the training activity in specialist schools today. They are also identified as one of the necessary solutions to physical development, contributing to improving the training quality of pupils. In order to have a reasonable basis for proposing and implementing a solution to organize self-study and self-extra-curricular hours to promote the personal and improve the training quality of students, the analysis process has conducted surveys and assessments. The reality of the motivation of self-studying and extra-curricular participation of volleyball students at the Da Nang University of Sports and Physical Education.  Article visualizations

Labour Commitments in the EVFTA: Amendments and Supplements to Vietnamese Law and Recommendations

    Get PDF
Following months of negotiations, Vietnam and the European Union (EU) signed the EU-Vietnam free trade agreement (EVFTA) on June 30, 2019 (effective from August 1, 2020). Although this agreement opens up enormous opportunities for cooperation with the EU in many trade areas, Vietnam would still ensure compliance with other non-trade provisions, particularly with the labour clauses in this agreement, in accordance with the principle pacta sunt servanda, which is a fundamental principle of international law. By using a synthesis research method, comprehensive assessment, and in-depth comparison with documents of the International Labour Organization (ILO), EVFTA regulations, and Vietnamese legal documents on labour, this study aims to review the amendments and modifications of Vietnam’s labour law to fulfil the commitments in labour in the EVFTA, as well as provide recommendations on how to enhance the Vietnamese labour law to ensure effective implementation of these international labour responsibilities. INVESTIGATION OF INFLUENCES OF FABRICATION TOLERANCES ON OPERATIONAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PIEZO-ACTUATED STICK-SLIP MICRO-DRIVES

    Get PDF
Piezo-actuated stick-slip micro-drives (PASSMDs) are often used in microrobotic applications due to their advantages of a straightforward design and good operational characteristics. In this work, influences of fabrication tolerances on operational characteristics of PASSMDs are theoretically investigated. A dynamic model describing the whole macroscopic movement of the driver’s runner and the actuators, and the microscopic behavior of the frictional contacts using the method of dimensionality reduction, was used. Three essential parameters of the drives including the angle between working surfaces of the runner, the alignment angle between two actuator blocks on each side of the runner, and the stiffness of an individual actuator, whose values are impacted by the tolerance of the fabrication and assembly process, were considered as the input of the investigation. By performing hybrid-dynamic simulations, influences of these parameters on the drives' operational characteristics, including the repeatability of the step length, the critical amplitude phenomenon, and the maximal-achievable driving frequency/velocity, were evaluated. Simulation results show that these parameters significantly influence on the characteristics of the drives. The contribution of this work is so important that several important phenomena of PASSMDs, which are experimentally detected, are physically explained for the first time. The results of this work could help designers to optimize for better generations of PASSMDs

Seismic study of shallow circular tunnel in Red River sand (Vietnam)

Attention should be paid to tunnels' seismic behaviour since many of them have been damaged by earthquakes. The paper presented a seismic study of a shallow circular tunnel by physical modelling on shaking table test. A small scale tunnel model of the Hanoi pilot metro line's underground segment was placed in the middle of a rigid soil container and buried in Red River sand (Vietnam). The table was vibrated along the soil container's long wall, with a simulated seismic wave created from the 1788 Tolmezzo (Italia) accelerogram. Five testing campaigns were executed, and the model's acceleration data were studied. The uni-directional vibration created by the shaking table caused the three-directional vibration of the physical model. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) frequency spectrum analyses were performed. The vibration characteristics of the model (i.e., frequency graph's structure, maximal acceleration, dominant frequency, strong-motion duration) in three orthogonal directions under the artificial earthquake action were compared. The obtained results proved the complicated seismic impacts on a shallow tunnel
