    Get PDF
The noteworthy proliferation of English language applications, exemplified by advancements such as the Elsa Speak Application, specifically designed for the pedagogical aspects of English instruction, underscores this trend. This study seeks to scrutinize the benefits and difficulties that non-specialized students in the High-quality program at Can Tho University (CTU) have when they learn English pronunciation through the Elsa Speak Application. To conduct this examination, semi-structured interviews were undertaken with 10 participants. The findings reveal that these participants encountered specific advantages and challenges in effectively navigating and utilizing the application. In response to these identified challenges, a set of recommendations has been proffered to enhance the effectiveness of the Elsa Speak Application, with the overarching goal of optimizing English language learning outcomes for students enrolled in the High-quality program at CTU. This research contributes valuable insights into the nuanced experiences and challenges associated with the integration of AI-driven language learning tools within the educational landscape of Industry 4.0.  Article visualizations

This research employed survey data from 204 students between two groups of  economics and technical majors in Hanoi city for assessing the impact levels of determinants on entrepreneurial intention. The results show that a number of determinants including Need for achievement, Self-efficacy, and Instrumental readiness have positive impacts on student’s entrepreneurial intention. Besides, this study is also to create a basis for  comparative students among different economics and technical majors, work exoperience, and gender. These findings are the basis to recommend policies and solutions to promote entrepreneurship movement in Vietnam. Creativity is a vital personality quality of each individual. Each person has their potential for creativity, and it can be nurtured and developed in an appropriate and safe environment. The purpose of the study was to find out which factors from schools and students themselves affect creativity as well as the association between creativity and age, gender and giftedness of students, which then a basis to adjust and establish appropriate methods from schools, families, and students themselves to develop elements and their creativity. The study was conducted on 108 high school students in three grades from giftedness and non-giftedness schools. The data was collected through a survey method using a self-constructed questionnaire and drawing creativity test TCT-DP to determine students' creativity levels and personal information. The study's finding, which uses mathematical methods and one-way analysis of variance, reveals that factors affecting elements and creativity level are objective factors including education environment from school; behavior of teachers, and subjective factors including interests, perspectives, and thoughts of students. It was also found that there were no significant differences in the components of creativity and creativity among students in different grades, gender, and groups of giftedness schools

Stakeholder Perceptions towards the Quality of Coursera MOOCs Blended Learning in Vietnam: A Qualitative Study

    Get PDF
Coursera MOOCs blended learning (CMBL) has been implemented at a Vietnamese Higher Education Institute (HEI) since the Fall 2019 semester. Our case study, which shows how Coursera MOOCs and the traditional classroom may work together, is unique in the context of Vietnamese higher education. In this case, students must complete the courses and earn certifications through Coursera MOOCs to qualify for the HEI’s offline final examinations. Meanwhile, students also engage in offline mentoring sessions with their classmates and lecturers (mentors). By employing the Service Quality (SERVQUAL) and 3P models, the research was conducted to explore how key factors might influence the quality of CMBL. This research conducted semi-structured interviews and employed thematic analysis with thirty interview participants, including ten administrators, eleven lecturers, three curriculum developers, and six students across four campuses of the HEI. We found that assessment, learning outcomes, learning content, Coursera staff’s responsiveness, offline mentors’ responsiveness and assurance, interaction, and student satisfaction might have considerably significant relationships with the quality of CMBL. On the other hand, Coursera instructors and offline mentors’ reliability have insignificant relationships with the quality of CMBL. This study has both theoretical and practical implications for universities and academics. Regarding the theoretical implications, this qualitative study provides critical criteria to measure the quality of the CMBL. Regarding the practical implications, it provides implications for curriculum development, teaching and learning, and assessment to improve the quality of CMBL. However, the authors could not travel across Vietnam to conduct face-to-face interviews in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, twenty-eight online interviews were conducted via Microsoft Teams and two email interviews. A downside of an online interview is that personal qualities that are critical to a study may be amended during the interview, forcing the researcher to rely on the participant’s words. Additionally, unlike a face-to-face interview, an email interview lacks simultaneous communication between the interviewer and the interviewee. Study to Fabricate the Large Scale Buckypaper Based on Carbon Nanotubes

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have attracted great attention because of their unique structural, electrical, mechanical and thermal properties. Then CNTs have potential application as electrode for batteries and supercapacitors, especially binder-free electrodes. The major challenge is to fabricate the large scale electrode with the uniform thickness, electrical property. The large scale CNTs buckypaper can be fabricated via vacuum filtration technique. The characteristics of CNT dispersion and buckypaper depend on variety of factor such as sonication power, sonication time, dispersant…. In this study, we investigate the multiwall carbon nanotubes (MW CNTs) in Isopropanol (IPA) solvent with different sonication conditions, membrane filter size for paper with areal density of 3 mg/cm2 with different sizes such as 4, 10, 20 cm in diameter and large scale of 30x30 cm2. It is observed that the dispersion of CNTs are good and the thickness, conductivity are uniform over whole sample for above sizes. We also can get the highest conductivity of buckypaper was 3.9x103 S/m in 30 mins. It is found that the higher sonication power and higher sonication time are better for buckypaper
