    Get PDF
This study aims to investigate EFL high-school teachers’ practices of strategies for CT instruction in their writing classrooms. The study was designed as a mixed-method one, using a questionnaire, and classroom observation as collecting data instruments. The sample consists of 103 EFL teachers from 21 high schools in Camau province, in the Mekong Delta region for quantitative data; five out of 103 teachers were purposely chosen to be observed to collect qualitative data. The finding of the study revealed that EFL high-school teachers’ practices of CT strategies used in writing classrooms were at a high level but at the lowest rate. At the same time, the results from classroom observation showed that EFL teachers used three more including setting real writing tasks, presentation, and student questioning in addition to the seven CT strategies presented in the research. From the findings, some pedagogical implications and recommendations are promoted in the hope that EFL teachers can effectively employ strategies for teaching CT in writing classrooms. Finally, the study’s limitations and suggestions for further research were also highlighted.  Article visualizations

Driving Factors for Green Innovation in Vietnamese Construction Enterprises

    Get PDF
Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the influences of different factors on green innovation in Vietnamese construction enterprises.   Theoretical framework: The theoretical framework is built upon the resource-based view, the model of organizational innovation, and stakeholder theory.   Design/methodology/approach: The research carries out a literature survey related to construction enterprises, then empirical analysis is conducted among 450 employees and managers at all level working in this field with the results analyzed using Cronbach’s Alpha analysis, exploratory factor analysis, pearson correlation analysis, linear regression analysis and One - way ANOVA analysis.   Findings: The results demonstrate that using renewable energy is well represented for green innovation in the Vietnamese construction industry and quantitative results also show positive impacts of all factors studied on green innovation: Green dynamic capabilities, Green creativity, Green knowledge sharing, Corporate environmental ethics, Pressure from industry competitors and regulators. In addition, the result affirmed there are statistically significant differences in the level of green innovation between construction enterprises of size and age, but not types of firm.   Research, Practical & Social implications: The study proposes solutions for both enterprises and regulators – one of the external stakeholders to develop green innovation in the construction sector.

The noteworthy proliferation of English language applications, exemplified by advancements such as the Elsa Speak Application, specifically designed for the pedagogical aspects of English instruction, underscores this trend. This study seeks to scrutinize the benefits and difficulties that non-specialized students in the High-quality program at Can Tho University (CTU) have when they learn English pronunciation through the Elsa Speak Application. To conduct this examination, semi-structured interviews were undertaken with 10 participants. The findings reveal that these participants encountered specific advantages and challenges in effectively navigating and utilizing the application. In response to these identified challenges, a set of recommendations has been proffered to enhance the effectiveness of the Elsa Speak Application, with the overarching goal of optimizing English language learning outcomes for students enrolled in the High-quality program at CTU. This research contributes valuable insights into the nuanced experiences and challenges associated with the integration of AI-driven language learning tools within the educational landscape of Industry 4.0.  Article visualizations

THE IMPACT OF DATA SECURITY ON THE INTENTION OF VIETNAMESE CONSUMERS TO USE E-WALLETS

    Get PDF
E-wallets are used as a form of payment that brings many benefits to users. This article studies the impact of data security on consumer intentions to use e-wallets in the rapidly growing economy of Vietnam. The data consist of 236 observations from a survey of consumers in Vietnam. Covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) was employed to test the proposed hypotheses. Research results show that security trust has the greatest impact on the intention to use e-wallets, followed by perceived privacy risk, social influence, and information sensitivity. The study also reveals the role of privacy policies and security concerns in consumer intentions to use e-wallets. Based on the research results, the study provides recommendations for consumers, e-wallet providers, and governmental agencies to increase awareness of and responsibility for information security among the consumers who use e-wallets

Red-emitting Ba2Si5N8Eu2+ conversion phosphor: A new selection for enhancing the optical performance of the in-cup packaging MCW-LEDs

    Get PDF
In this research, the influence of the red-emitting Ba2Si5N8Eu2+ convention phosphor on the optical performance of the 7,000K and 7,700K in-cup packaging multi-chip white LEDs (MCW-LEDs) is investigated. The effect of the red-emitting Ba2Si5N8Eu2+ convention phosphor is demonstrated based on Mie Theory by Mat Lab and Light Tools software. The research results indicated that the optical performance of MCW-LEDs was crucially affected by the red-emitting Ba2Si5N8Eu2+ phosphor's concentration. This paper provides an essential recommendation for selecting and developing the phosphor materials for MW-LEDs manufacturing.Web of Science51art. no. 148615

Research on Aeroelasticity Phenomenon in Aeronautical Engineering

    Get PDF
Aeroelasticity phenomena arise when structural deformations induce changes on aerodynamic forces due to airplane structures that are not completely rigid. The additional aerodynamic forces cause an increase in the structural deformations, which leads to greater aerodynamic forces in a feedback process. These interactions may become smaller until reaching a condition of equilibrium or may diverge catastrophically if resonance occurs. Flutter is an instability aeroelasticity phenomenon which is the most difficult to predict. In this chapter, a numerical method and an experimental method were realized to predict aeroelastic response and characteristic parameters of a wing structure. The numerical method was firstly developed based on the interaction between computational fluid dynamic and computational structural dynamic methods using a coupling system, fluid–solid interaction (FSI), in the ANSYS software. Then, an experiment was set up in suitable conditions to study aeroelasticity characteristics with the goal of comparing the numerical results with the experimental results on the same wing structure at low speed. After that, a developed code based on immersed boundary method (IBM) was realized to predict aeroelasticity response and characteristic parameters of the wing structure. AGARD 445.6 wing model was chosen for this developed procedure at high speed. Obtained results were compared to other numerical and experimental results
