ANTIOXIDATIVE DEFENSE RESPONSE TO APHID-INDUCED OXIDATIVE STRESS IN Glycine max (L.) Merr. cv. “Nam Dan”

    Get PDF
Infestation of cowpea aphid (Aphis craccivora Koch) induced oxidative stress in leaves of soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr. cv. “Nam Dan”) with a burst in generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) products such as superoxide anion radical (O2.-) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) recorded around 24 hours after aphid feeding. An increase in content of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) in lipid peroxidation and a defined percentage of injury in aphid-infested leaves were resulted from the cellular oxidative damage. The enhanced activity of the antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD, EC 1.15.1.1) and catalase (CAT, EC 1.11.1.6) in leaves of soybean “Nam Dan” functions as the antioxidative response that controlled both ROS-generation to be enough levels to play as defensive element and ROS-detoxifying to reduce aphid-induced oxidative damage. The enhancement of SOD and CAT also can improve the tolerance of soybean “Nam Dan” to impact from A. craccivora

Combined adaptive lattice reduction-aided detection and antenna shuffling for DSTTD-OFDM systems

    Get PDF
In this paper, we consider lattice reduction (LR) aided linear detection in a DSTTD-OFDM (double space-time transmit diversity- orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system with antenna shuffling. We first derive an antenna shuffling criterion for the LR-aided DSTTD-OFDM system. Next, we propose a combined reduced-feedback and adaptive LR algorithm by exploiting the correlation between OFDM subcarriers in the frequency domain. The LR-aided DSTTD OFDM system with this algorithm requires low computational effort for the LR operation and small feedback information. Simulation results show that a significant improvement could be achieved in the proposed system compared to previous (non-LR-aided) systems under spatially correlated channels. Also, the proposed complexity-reduced approach could greatly lower the system complexity while exhibiting a slight performance loss

This paper aims to analyze the nguyen dynasty with the aesthetic value of bronze relics in hue. The method using observations, experience, synthesis analysis, historical and dialectical methods and draws some educational lessons for students. This study shows that Copper material is also one of the materials used a lot in objects with religious elements such as bronze bells, bronze bells, etc. Last but not elast, the aesthetic value of decorative art on bronze in Hue is also the combination of basic elements and the fusion of cultural factors

Adaptive antenna selection for energy-efficient MIMO-OFDM wireless systems

    Get PDF
In this paper, we investigate energy-efficiency in antenna selection OFDM-based systems. We show that an OFDM system with conventional antenna selection approaches, including per-subcarrier selection (i.e., selecting antennas independently for each subcarrier) and bulk-selection (i.e., choosing the same antennas for all subcarriers), suffers from a significant loss in energy-efficiency. To achieve a better energy-efficiency performance, we propose an adaptive antenna selection scheme where both the number of active RF (radio frequency) chains and the antenna indices are selected depending on the channel condition. This selection scheme could be implemented by exhaustive search. Moreover, we develop an algorithm that achieves a near-optimal performance with much lower complexity when the number of antennas is large, compared to the (optimal) exhaustive search method. Simulation results demonstrate a significant improvement in terms of energy-efficiency in the proposed system compared to the conventional counterparts

Transmit antenna subset selection with power balancing for high data rate MIMO-OFDM UWB systems

    Get PDF
This paper proposes per-subcarrier transmit antenna subset selection with power balancing for MIMO-OFDM UWB systems to simultaneously improve the system error performance and increase data rates. The deployment of the per-subcarrier antenna subset selection may result in a power unbalance across antennas, which could cause power amplifiers (PAs) to operate in their non-linear regions. To overcome this disadvantage, we formulate a linear optimization problem for the optimal allocation of data subcarriers under a constraint that all antennas have the same number of assigned data symbols. This optimization problem could be applied to systems with an arbitrary number of multiplexed data streams, antennas, and with different selection criteria. The efficacy of the proposed allocation scheme from the PA linearity perspective is validated by analyzing the distribution of the peak amplitude of timedomain signals. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed system outperforms the system without a balancing constraint

The article focuses on analyzing the factors affecting students' digital skills and adaptability in the context of digital transformation. The study identified influencing factors: Environment, Behavior, Individuals, Teachers, Time of use, and access. However, the results of an online survey of 1.282 students of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE) with Cronbach's Alpha test method, EFA analysis, correlations, and regression analysis, showed that there are 3/5 factors identified in the hypothesis that affect digital skills and adaptability of HCMUTE students in the context of digital transformation, specifically: behavior (Beta = 0.177, Sig. = 0.000); individuals (Beta = 0.181, Sig. = 0.027); teacher (Beta = 0.547, Sig. = 0.000). Besides, the environment does not affect digital skills and adaptability (KNSKNTU) due to Beta = 0.017 and Sig.=0.384>0.05. Sig does not involve usage and access time factors. >0.05 in the table Correlations not be further analyzed in the regression model. The research results are expected to help provide a more objective view of the reality of digital adoption and student adaptability in the digital transformation context at HCMUTE
