    Consistent nontrivial interactions within a special class of covariant mixed-symmetry type tensor gauge fields of degree three are constructed from the deformation of the solution to the master equation combined with specific cohomological techniques. In spacetime dimensions strictly greater than four, the only consistent interaction terms are those gauge invariant under the original symmetry.     Imaging of atomic orbitals with the Atomic Force Microscope - experiments and simulations

    Atomic force microscopy (AFM) is a mechanical profiling technique that allows to image surfaces with atomic resolution. Recent progress in reducing the noise of this technique has led to a resolution level where previously undetectable symmetries of the images of single atoms are observed. These symmetries are related to the nature of the interatomic forces. The Si(111)-(7x7) surface is studied by AFM with various tips and AFM images are simulated with chemical and electrostatic model forces. The calculation of images from the tip-sample forces is explained in detail and the implications of the imaging parameters are discussed. Because the structure of the Si(111)-(7x7) surface is known very well, the shape of the adatom images is used to determine the tip structure. The observability of atomic orbitals by AFM and scanning tunneling microscopy is discussed.Comment: 21 pages, 17 figure

    We report the case of a 47-year-old man that was admitted to our hospital secondary to a penetrating brain injury with 2 nails as an attempt of suicide. Emergency head CT scan revealed the presence of 2 nails intracranially. The patient underwent surgical removal of the nails by minimal craniectomy. The particularity of the case is the minimal invasiveness of the approach completed by specific follow-up imagistic studies to maximise the outcome

Cloud technologies evolved a lot in recent years and based on this growth, microservices are more and more used. If for the server side, the scalability and reusability are solved in high proportion by microservices, on the client side of web applications, there was no independent solution until the recent emergence of web components. They can be seen as the microservices of the front-end. Microservices and web components are usually used isolated one of each other.     The irreducible Hamiltonian BRST symmetry for p-form gauge theories with Stueckelberg coupling is derived. The cornerstone of our approach is represented by the construction of an irreducible theory that is equivalent from the point of view of the BRST formalism with the original system. The equivalence makes permissible the substitution of the BRST quantization of the reducible model by that of the irreducible theory.
