On the Communication of Scientific Results: The Full-Metadata Format

In this paper, we introduce a scientific format for text-based data files, which facilitates storing and communicating tabular data sets. The so-called Full-Metadata Format builds on the widely used INI-standard and is based on four principles: readable self-documentation, flexible structure, fail-safe compatibility, and searchability. As a consequence, all metadata required to interpret the tabular data are stored in the same file, allowing for the automated generation of publication-ready tables and graphs and the semantic searchability of data file collections. The Full-Metadata Format is introduced on the basis of three comprehensive examples. The complete format and syntax is given in the appendix

Analyse of contemporary fashion and new fashion vision

Oddělení designuObhájenoThe topic of my bachelor dissertation is ?The analysis of current clothing and a new vision of clothing?. I was inspired by clothing excavations and I made my clothings as a message to the future. Contemporary clothings could be found one day in the future the same way, we find the clothings from the past now. However, clothings are exposed to the influences of the environment and we can only find their damaged parts. The most of clothing excavitations are from silk becouse it is resistent of acid environments. The natural materials decompose completely, therefore I conserved them inside a vacuumed PVC. By vacuuming the air I wanted to achieve certain structures of the material inside the PVC to become visible on the outside. I used this effect and place inside some materials with interesting structures or some details specific for today's clothings. The problem was how to conserve this materials inside PVC. I warmed it up and in the place where two layers of PVC are in contact it sticks togeather. So I had to use stucture material whit big holes. I used two types of lace. The parts of excavated clothings are spread and the supposed design is drawn around. We can see the result of such process in museums. The shapes of my designs are inspired by spread pattern cuts of the today's wardrobe. The typical pieces of clothes for every woman is skirt, dress, shirt, jacket or trousers which was in previous centuries only mens thing. If found in hundreds of years, my garments could serve the future designers to make a dress from the materials and with details typical for our age
