Educação física e o ténis na promoção de estilos de vida activos

Orientador: Jorge ProençaUma das crescentes preocupações das sociedades desenvolvidas é a redução da actividade física com os consequentes custos individuais e sociais. É recomendado um aumento qualitativo e quantitativo de actividade física. A disciplina de Educação Física é hoje vista como um dos lugares ideais para a promoção da actividade física e de um estilo de vida activo que se prolongue pela vida adulta. O Ténis é uma modalidade desportiva que se pode praticar ao longo de toda a vida e que apresenta inúmeros benefícios para a saúde. Neste âmbito, foi feita uma análise do papel que a Educação Física representa na saúde e promoção de estilos de vida activos, caracterização do Ténis e seus benefícios, ensino do Ténis nas escolas, o Ténis nos programas nacionais de Educação Física e foram feitas propostas metodológicas para o seu ensino na escola. Desta análise, suportada pelo conhecimento da comunidade científica e profissionais da área de reconhecido mérito, pode concluir-se que a implementação de um programa de iniciação ao Ténis na escola, baseado em propostas metodológicas eficazes e de acordo com as necessidades reais dos alunos, é perfeitamente exequível e promove ganhos motores, sociais e emocionais que se podem prolongar pela vida futura. Assim, o Ténis pode ter um contributo relevante na promoção de um estilo de vida activo.One of the growing concerns of developed societies is the decline in physical activity with individual and social costs. It is recommended more quality physical activity. Physical Education is seen today as an ideal place to promote physical activity and an active lifestyle that continues through adulthood. Tennis is a sport that you can practice throughout life and has many benefits for your health. According to this, it is discussed the role of Physical Education in health and promoting active lifestyles, characterization of Tennis and its health benefits, teaching Tennis at school, Tennis in the national Physical Education curriculum, and methodologies for teaching Tennis. From this analysis, supported by the scientific community and renowned experts on Tennis, it was concluded that the implementation of a Tennis beginners program at school, founded in effective methodological principles and according to the real necessities of the students, is totally viable and promotes motor, social and emotional gains that may reflect throughout life. Thus, Tennis may be a relevant contribution to promote an active lifestyle

Impact Assessment and Recommendations: Making Sense H2020 CAPS Project

The aim of this report is to address the impact of Making Sense, considering not only citizens and communities involved on the ground level, but also the organizations behind it. We chose to aggregate, summarize and break down our review into five dimensions, adopting a STEEP model and looking into sub-topics inside each of them: Social (Values, representations and practices; Community extension effects; Collective events as awareness raising; Internal communication; Inclusion and fairness; Exchanges and synergies with other organisations), Technoscientific (Open hardware, software and other open tools; Training and education; Materials and tools for local communities; Technical and scientific outputs; Open source platforms), Economic (New entrepreneurial initiatives; Alternative relationships with economic assets; Job creation; Direct exploitation and transfer), Environmental (Igniting environmental changes; Reducing environmental harm; Collective measuring and calibration events; Networking effects; Sustainability plan), Policy (New ways and channels of participation; Communities capacity to impact policy decisions; Organisational influence in political or power dynamics). The Levy sections theorem: an application to econophysics

We employ the Levy sections theorem in the analysis of selected dollar exchange rate time series. The theorem is an extension of the classical central limit theorem and offers an alternative to the most usual analysis of the sum variable. We find that the presence of fat tails can be related to the local volatility pattern of the series.

Relatório de Estágio Pedagógico Escola Secundária Frei Heitor Pinto

O presente relatório de estágio foi realizado no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Estágio Pedagógico, do segundo ano de estudos do Mestrado em Ensino de Educação Física nos Ensinos Básico e Secundário da Universidade da Beira Interior (UBI), com o intuito de finalizar a formação académica e obtenção do grau Mestre no respetivo curso. Este estágio pedagógico decorreu no Agrupamento de Escolas Frei Heitor Pinto, no ano letivo 2021/2022. O presente documento representa todas as experiências vivenciadas no decorrer da prática supervisionada, dividindo-se em dois capítulos. No primeiro capítulo, a intervenção pedagógica, é apresentado de forma detalhada todo o trabalho desenvolvido no decorrer do estágio, desde o planeamento até à avaliação do 2ºCiclo, do 3ºCiclo e Ensino secundário, o trabalho desenvolvido no Desporto Escolar - Grupo Equipa de Badminton, a experiência na assessoria da direção de turma e atividades desenvolvidas no decorrer do estágio. No segundo capítulo, denominado investigação e inovação pedagógicas, teve como objetivo identificar os efeitos da aplicação de um modelo híbrido de ensino na lecionação de uma Unidade Didática de Andebol, baseado no Modelo de Educação Desportiva e no Teaching Games for Understanding. Os resultados obtidos demostraram efeitos significativos na melhoria de comportamentos táticos e, consequentemente, na performance e envolvimento no jogo. Ao nível da motivação dos alunos não existiram melhorias significativas. O estudo comprovou que a adoção de um modelo híbrido na lecionação em aulas de educação física, pode ter uma influência positiva na aquisição de competências motoras em alunos de ambos os sexos.This internship report was conducted within the scope of the Pedagogical Training Course, of the second year of studies of the master’s degree in Teaching Physical Education in Primary and Secondary Education of the University of Beira Interior (UBI), in order to finalize the academic training and obtain the master’s degree in the respective course. This pedagogical internship took place in the Frei Heitor Pinto School Grouping, in the 2021/2022 school year. This document represents all the experiences lived during the supervised practice, divided into two chapters. The first chapter, the pedagogical intervention, presents in detail all the work developed during the internship, from planning to the evaluation of the 2nd cycle, 3rd cycle and secondary education, the work developed in School Sports - Badminton Team Group, the experience in advising the class management and activities developed during the internship. The second chapter, called pedagogical research and innovation, aimed to identify the effects of applying a hybrid teaching model in the teaching of a Handball Teaching Unit, based on the Sports Education Model and on Teaching Games for Understanding. The results showed significant effects in the improvement of tactical behaviors and, consequently, in the performance and involvement in the game. In terms of student motivation, there were no significant improvements. The study proved that the adoption of a hybrid model in physical education classes can have a positive influence on the acquisition of motor skills in students of both sexes

O presente trabalho pretende recuperar a obra em prosa de Carlos de Oliveira, na tentativa de averiguar a presença feminina na obra de um escritor que se notabilizou como um dos principais representantes do neorrealismo português. Partindo das reflexões de Roland Barthes sobre o real em literatura, gostaria de demonstrar como as personagens femininas de Carlos de Oliveira funcionam como uma espécie de eixo estruturador do enredo narrativo, indo assim na contramão da quase assentada ideia de que o neorrealismo não foi lugar de abrigo para a presença feminina e para o erotismo

Foraging behavior of Scaptotrigona depilis (Hymenoptera, Apidae, Meliponini) and its relationship with temporal and abiotic factors

Stingless bees play an important role in Tropical and Subtropical ecosystems as pollinators of many plants. The aim of this study was to characterize the pattern of flight activity and foraging for pollen by Scaptotrigona depilis workers and their relation with climatic and temporal factors. We observed flight activity from July 2001 to June 2002 and pollen collection by scoring the flow of workers entering and exiting the colonies. We tested whether environmental (temperature, relative humidity, pluviosity and luminosity) and temporal predictors (month and time of day) affected bees’ activities. The study was conducted during one year and the records of observations showed that during the dry season when the length of light is longer, the external activity was more intensive, while during cold months with shorter light period, foraging activity was reduced. Pollen collection showed a peak in February, but in general this activity was regulated by temperature, humidity and daily luminosity
