    The Diffrences in Student’s Grade Point Average (GPA) Based on SBMPTN of UTBC and UTBK and External Motivation in Choosing PMIPA Majors of Tadulako University

    This study aims to describe the differences in student's GPAs at the Mathematics and Natural Science Education (PMIPA) Department of Tadulako University who enter through the Joint Selection to Enter State Universities (SBMPTN) pathway with the Print-Based Written Test (UTBC) in 2018 and Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) systems in 2019, describe the relationship of external motivation of students in choosing majors with GPA based on the SBMPTN (UTBC and UTBK) pathway. The samples used were all students at the PMIPA Study Program of Tadulako University who entered through the UTBC SBMPTN pathway in 2018 as many as 134 students and 130 students of UTBK 2019. There is an insignificant difference in the students' GPA through the UTBC and UTBK SBMPTN pathway. The students of UTBK have a higher GPA in the second semester than the students of UTBC, with the average GPA of UTBC students is 3.407, and the average GPA of UTBK students is 3.525. There is no relationship between students' external motivation in choosing a major against students' GPA at the PMIPA department of Tadulako University, but factors of interest and self-will influence it

    Implementation of the Guided Inquiry Learning Model with High and Low Achievement Motivation on Student Learning Outcomes in Acid Base Material in Class X Depertement of Computer and Network Enginering (TKJ) in Vocational High Schools

    The aims of the study were to describe: 1. the application of the guided inquiry learning model, 2. student interaction in the guided inquiry learning model between high and low achievement motivation, 3. student responses to the application of the guided inquiry learning model, 4. improvement in student learning outcomes with achievement motivation high and low, and 5. student learning outcomes using guided inquiry learning models on acid-base material. The research method used is quasi-experimental. Data collection through learning achievement tests, achievement motivation questionnaires and student responses as well as observation sheets. The results showed that: (1) the application of the guided inquiry learning model was well implemented, (2) there was student interaction in the guided inquiry learning model between high and low achievement motivation as indicated by the sig value (0.000) < a (0.05), (3) student responses were very high, both those with high and low achievement motivation, (4) there was an increase in the learning outcomes of students who had high and low achievement motivation, and (5) there were differences in learning outcomes before and after using the guided inquiry learning model. acid-base material

    PENGUATAN BUDAYA LITERASI EKOLOGIS DI SEKOLAH

    Abstrak: Tingkat literasi peserta didik di Indonesia masih berada pada kategori rendah. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) dilakukan untuk menguatkan budaya literasi ekologis peserta didik di Sekolah Bala Keselamatan Palu terhadap 56 orang peserta didik baru. Penyuluhan dilakukan melalui ceramah, tanya jawab, dan simulasi menggunakan presentasi dan video tentang isu-isu fenomena ekologis dengan tujuan: (1) Membangun budaya literasi ekologis; dan (2) Membangun perilaku go green school. Hasil evaluasi melalui tanya jawab sepanjang penyuluhan menunjukkan rata-rata persentase “Membangun budaya Literasi Ekologis” sebesar 60,4% dan “Membangun perilaku dan go green school activity” sebesar 84,9%. Hasil evaluasi melalui observasi dan wawancara seminggu setelah penyuluhan menunjukkan adanya kreativitas kelompok “Sasisapo” melakukan proyek “perubahan iklim global” dengan merawat tanaman setiap hari seusai sekolah, menanam tanaman (bunga-bunga dan dua pohon akasia), dan bersih-bersih lingkungan sekolah setiap hari Sabtu. Diharapkan hasil PKM ini menjadi masukan terhadap guruguru dalam menginternalisasi nilai-nilai budaya literasi ekologis pada pembelajaran di kelas.Abstract: The literacy level of students in Indonesia is still in the low category. Community service (PKM) is carried out to strengthen the ecological literacy culture of students at the Palu Salvation Army School for 56 new students. Counseling is carried out through lectures, questions and answers, and simulations using presentations and videos on issues of ecological phenomena with the aim of: (1) Building a culture of ecological literacy; and (2) Building go green school behavior. The results of the evaluation through questions and answers during the extension showed that the average percentage of "Building an Ecological Literacy culture" was 60.4% and "Building behavior and going green school activity" was 84.9%. The results of the evaluation through observations and interviews a week after the extension showed the creativity of the "Saisapo" group in carrying out a "global climate change" project by taking care of plants every day after school, planting plants (flowers and two acacia trees), and cleaning the school environment every day. Saturday. It is hoped that the results of this PKM will become input for teachers in internalizing the cultural values of ecological literacy in classroom learning

    The Development of HyperDocs on Chemistry Learning for High School Students’ Collaborative Skills

    This research aims to produce valid, practical and effective HyperDocs chemistry learning. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D), with One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The results of this study are that the HyperDocs product developed has a validity value of 75% with valid criteria, lesson plans, implementation of learning, collaborative skills, and student responses each obtaining an average score of 89.82%, 94.45%, 95%, and 94.17%. The developed HyperDocs has a practical value in the implementation of learning meetings 1 and 2 of 88.89% and 87.59% with very practical criteria, and student responses of 81.11% with very practical criteria. The HyperDocs that were developed are effective in teaching chemistry as seen from the Cohen Effect average value obtained at 0.78 which is included in the medium criteria. The Cohen Class effect size value is 6.74 which is included in the big criteria. There are several aspects of collaborative skills, namely: 1) despair among group members, 2) despair in teamwork and 3) despair in social relations, each of which obtains an average score of 86.46%, 82.29%, and 86, 67%.     The analyses of Copper (Cu) has been performed in the sample of drum waste (tailings) gold mining in Poboya by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS) method.The alkaline destruction by the addition of HNO3 and HClO4 has been done by heating then distilled. The absorbance was measured at a wavelength (λ) = 324.7 nm on copper metal analysis. From the analysis,it was obtained copper metal in each drum consist of as follows drum A. 204.92 mg/kg, drum B 151.85 mg/kg, drum C 79.51 mg/kg, drum D 167.78 mg/kg, drum E 190.68 mg/kg, with the overall average value of 158.94 mg/kg.     A study is carried out to determine the metal content of zinc (Zn) and iron (Fe) in well water samples by AAS using a wet method of destruction through the addition of concentrated HNO3 as a solvent and forming acidic. The measuring the levels of zinc in the sample performed at a wavelength (λ) = 213 nm and measuring the levels of iron in the sample performed at a wavelength (λ) = 248.3 nm. The results obtained for the levels of zinc metal respectively are 0.3121 mg/L, 0.1175 mg/L, and 0.0478 mg/L, and iron metal levels are 0.394 mg/L, 0.546 mg/L, and 0.324 mg/L. These data indicate the metal content of zinc in wells water Pantoloan Village North Palu Palu district is still below the threshold value while the metal content of iron in wells near the sea (sampel B) is above the standard threshold value defined in the Rules of Ministry of Health Decree No. 492 /2010

    Vitamin C is known as ascorbic acid. The function of vitamin C is to help the synthesis of collagen and antioxidants that the body needs. Vitamin C can be obtained from fruits, and each fruit had different levels of vitamin C. This study aims to determine the levels of vitamin C in the fruit papaya, soursop, sugar apple and complexioned fruit. This study uses a volumetric method that uses a solution of iodine (I2) as the titer, and using starch as an indicator, and each piece studied every day for three days with the same treatment. The results obtained levels of vitamin C in papaya fruits in a row are the first day of 46.89 mg, the second day 34.6 mg, third day and 22.88 mg. Vitamin C in the complexioned fruits are the first day 82.28 mg, the second day 61.31 mg, and third day 37.14 mg. Vitamin C in the sweetsop fruit are the first day 49.83 mg, the second day 35.2 mg, and third day 20.46 mg. And the soursop fruit vitamin C content was obtained on the first day 62.42 mg, the second day 33.44 mg, and third day of 23.14 mg. The results demonstrated that levels of Vitamin C in four fruits had decreased each day since the time of storage

    The type of in this research is the experimental of research with using of model POE (Predict-Observe-Explain) held in to SMAN 4 Pasangkayu XI science of class. The experiment class (XI IPA 2) using POE learning the model cinsists of 21 student and the class of control (XI IPA 1) using of research conventional learning model to consists of 17 students. This research aims to determine the effect learning of a POE model on learning outcomes in chemistry class XI science student of SMAN 4 Pasangkayu. The test was gave before and after the learning twice (pretest and posttest). The observation sheet was used to observe student's learning of activities. T test was performed after normality test and data homogenity. Based on the data analysis the average for experiment class is 11.07 with the mastery percentage of 71.42% while of 28.57% did not completed. For a control class average to valve 9,08 with the percentage completeness to valve learning a student 41.17% while not completed of 58.82%. In this matter to pointed that there are to affect of POE model on learning result in chemistry to XI exact science of class with material on the solubility and product solubility to SMAN 4 of Pasangkayu, cause can to interest layer and result of student learning
