Characterization of second type plane foliations using Newton polygons
In this article we characterize the foliations that have the same Newton
polygon that their union of formal separatrices, they are the foliations called
of the second type. In the case of cuspidal foliations studied by Loray, we
precise this characterization using the Poincar\'e-Hopf index. This index also
characterizes the cuspidal foliations having the same desingularization that
the union of its separatrices. Finally we give necessary and sufficient
conditions when these cuspidal foliations are generalized curves, and a
characterization when they have only one separatrix.Comment: 15 page
On Brian\c{c}on-Skoda theorem for foliations
We generalize Mattei's result relative to the Brian\c{c}on-Skoda theorem for
foliations to the family of foliations of the second type. We use this
generalization to establish relationships between the Milnor and Tjurina
numbers of foliations of second type, inspired by the results obtained by Liu
for complex hypersurfaces and we determine a lower bound for the global Tjurina

Liposarcoma de alto grado con areas de necrosis hemorragica. Reporte de un caso en el Hospital Central de la Fuerza Aérea del Perú
Los liposarcomas son neoplasias pleomorfas poco frecuentes del tejido conectivo, de gran malignidad, la mayoría carece de etiología clara y su comportamiento clínico y su histología es variable. De ahí el interés de reportar el caso de un paciente de63 años que presenta aumento de volumen de miembro inferior izquierdo, al que se le realizan estudios de extensión, encontrando una gran masa con áreas de necrosis y hemorragia, con exámenes de laboratorio normales. Le realizaron resección quirúrgica de la masa con resultado histopatológico de liposarcoma de alto grado de malignidad con áreas de necrosis y hemorragia. Este tipo de tumoraciones tienen mejor pronóstico que el resto de los tumores. El diagnóstico se dio debido al aumento desproporcionado de tamaño, lo que preocupo al paciente y lo obligo a asistir al hospital, para su tratamiento. El tratamiento de elección para esta patología sigue siendo la exéresis quirúrgica completa, con controles periódicos, según el caso
Harmonized clinical trial methodologies for localized cutaneous leishmaniasis and potential for extensive network with capacities for clinical evaluation
International audienceINTRODUCTION: Progress with the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) has been hampered by inconsistent methodologies used to assess treatment effects. A sizable number of trials conducted over the years has generated only weak evidence backing current treatment recommendations, as shown by systematic reviews on old-world and new-world CL (OWCL and NWCL).MATERIALS AND METHODS: Using a previously published guidance paper on CL treatment trial methodology as the reference, consensus was sought on key parameters including core eligibility and outcome measures, among OWCL (7 countries, 10 trial sites) and NWCL (7 countries, 11 trial sites) during two separate meetings.RESULTS: Findings and level of consensus within and between OWCL and NWCL sites are presented and discussed. In addition, CL trial site characteristics and capacities are summarized.CONCLUSIONS: The consensus reached allows standardization of future clinical research across OWCL and NWCL sites. We encourage CL researchers to adopt and adapt as required the proposed parameters and outcomes in their future trials and provide feedback on their experience. The expertise afforded between the two sets of clinical sites provides the basis for a powerful consortium with potential for extensive, standardized assessment of interventions for CL and faster approval of candidate treatments
Curva polar de una foliación asociada a sus raíces aproximadas
Las foliaciones no dicríticas de segundo tipo fueron caracterizadas por Mattei - Salem
[Ma-Sa] en término de su multiplicidad y de su unión de separatrices. En este trabajo
de tesis, damos otra caracterización a las foliaciones no dicríticas de segundo tipo con el
polígono de Newton de la foliación y el de su unión de separatrices.
De otro lado, Loray [Lo] enuncia una caracterización para un tipo de foliaciones con
singularidades cuspidales que tienen la misma resolución que su unión de separatrices, sin
embargo Fernández, Mozo y Neciosup [F-Mo-N] encuentran una impresición en la caracterización
debido a que la condición es necesaria pero no suficiente. Lo que hacemos en este
trabajo es caracterizar a dicha familia de foliaciones cuando son de segundo tipo y damos
condiciones necesarias y suficientes cuando son de tipo curva generalizada en términos de
su orden pesado.
Finalmente, generalizamos el resultado de García Barroso y Gwozdziewicz [GB-G1]
a foliaciones, esto es, descomponemos la curva polar de una foliación curva generalizada
asociada a sus raíces aproximadas. Dicha descomposición viene expresada en función del
tipo topológico de la separatriz de la foliación.Tesi
On the Approximate Polar Curves of Foliations
We present a decomposition theorem of the generic polar curves of a generalized curve foliation with only one separatrix and the Hamiltonian foliations defined by the approximate roots of the generatrix. This is a generalization to foliations of the decomposition theorem of approximate Jacobians given by García Barroso and Gwoździewicz for plane branches
