The phenomenon of Islamic spirituality in campus turns out to not only be a political and preaching movement, but is also related to “moral panic” that overwhelms the Indonesian society, especially after a massive penetration of Western and East Asian pop culture. This article is the result of an intensive research involving a number of Senior High Schools students in Yogyakarta in 2008-2009. It was found that the flood of pop culture since the 1970s have produced a counter reaction i.e. pop as a counter culture to the Islamic circle. Worries about the “ghost” of pop culture among adolescent are shown in a guidance book of Islamic preaching in school. Such moral panic recently caused the proselytizing movement in school or popularly called ‘Rohis\u27 to become more popular among Indonesian Moslem adolescent

Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) intergrated campus computer network built since 1995. Development of UII integrated campus computer network is using a star topology and fiber optic (FO) cable. Considering that the star topology is the topology that requires a lot of wires, this study was conducted to determine and examine how the application of graph on the FO cable network UII integrated campus in order to minimize the cost, because FO cable network can be modeled by a graph where the buildings as points, while FO cable that connects to each building as a line. This type of research that is used here is a case study, in which data collection by observation, interviews, and documentation. This study used 4 algorithms, that is Kruskal algorithm, Prim, Boruvka and Solin algorithm to find the Minimum Spanning Tree. Based on the research that has been done, the conclution about the troubleshooting steps of optimization UII integrated campus FO cable network based graph theory has been got. From the four algorithms obtained the most optimal results FO cable length 4.700 meters long and is 1.590 meters cable lines. While the results of observations made, it is known that the existing computer network in UII integrated campus has a cable length of 6.120 meters and 2.050 meters long track. The results of the analysis showed that the resulrs of the study 23.2% more optimal than the existing computer networks in UII integrated campus

Study of Bryophytic Flora in the Ramsar Wetland of Merja Zerga (North-west of Morocco)

The research undertaken in the IBA and Ramsar wetland of Merja Zerga at Moulay Bousselham were interested only in the higher plants. Our study tends then to contribute to enrich the knowledge about the bryophytic flora of this area by filling the gaps in this field. Thus, we carried out a systematic sampling with a stop and a harvest in each encountered bryophyte population. This prospection enabled us to find 26 species of bryophytes including 22 species of mosses belonging to 15 genera and 9 families, and 4 species of liverworts belonging to 3 genera and 3 families. The relative low specificity of this wetland can be explained by the influence of sea spray and the strong anthropic disturbance. A comparison with previous studies allowed us to conclude that 11 species were observed for the first time in the area

Design and Characterisation of Dual-Mode Suspended-Substrate Stripline Filter

A new design technique of a dual-mode ring-resonator suspended-substrate stripline filter is reported here to achieve low passband insertion loss, high quality factor, and good spurious response. A fourth-order bandpass filter was designed and fabricated at the operational frequency of 2.07 GHz with two ring resonators packaged in a metallic cavity where each ring resonator is one wavelength long. The transmission zeros of the dual-mode filter are generated due to the phase cancellation between the two paths in a ring, thus a sharp-skirt selectivity filter response was achieved. Perturbation notch structure was implemented on each ring resonator to provide the electromagnetic coupling of two degenerate modes, thus a dual-mode response of the filter can be synthesised. Measurement results of the first dual-mode filter prototype showed a return loss and an insertion loss of better than 16.42 and 0.926 dB, respectively, while an out-of-band rejection of up to 55 dB was achieved. The novel filter design technique proved that no cross-coupling is required to obtain the transmission zeros of the filter, thus the sharp-skirt response was achievable

The purpose of development research for Package of Learning Source (PLS) with Analysis of Physics Phenomenon Photo (APPP) based on local wisdom are to describe logical validity and empirical validity of that product for physics learning at Vocational High School of Fisheries and Marine Majoring. The measured empirical validity is impact of PSB at learning activities, learning outcomes and students response. The design of research is ADDIE development model which modified with development guidelines of the National Education Standard. The techniques of data collection are observation, test and questionnaire. The results of research shows that the logical validity of PLS at 4.08 in valid category and qualify without revision according to National Education Standard. The empirical validity of PLS at learning activity shows that the average value for the listening activities, visual activities, writing activities, oral activities and motors activities is 64.39% in active category; the average value of learning outcomes for the cognitive and affective is 61.85 in medium category; the students response to the PLS is 96.77% positive in very good category. Conclusion of the research shows that the PLS is valid and effective for physics learning at Vocational High School
