Valuation Challenges of Urban Green Infrastructure
The current article provides an overview of the benefits provided by urban green infrastructure (GI), as well as the application of the concept of total economic value and the relevance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Afterward, environmental valuation methods that can be used to calculate the benefits in monetary units are presented, highlighting the potential problems or biases. The relevance of cost-based, revealed, and stated preference methods are discussed. It is concluded that several case studies are available, however, the abundance of services provided and differences in measuring the GI services in natural units make monetary valuation ambiguous or challenging. Still, the growing number of people living in urban neighbourhoods makes it more and more expected to measure and valuate the benefits
A vállalatok társadalmi felelőssége (osztrák és magyar példákon)
A KKV-k társadalmi felelĹ‘ssĂ©gvállalására - számos nagyvállalatĂ©val ellentĂ©tben - az a jellemzĹ‘, hogy a tĂ©nyleges tevĂ©kenysĂ©gĂĽk tĂşlmutat azon, amit kommunikálnak magukrĂłl. Ennek oka rĂ©szben, hogy a KKV-kra általában kevĂ©sbĂ© jellemzĹ‘ az aktĂv kommunikáciĂł, rĂ©szben pedig, hogy a társadalmi felelĹ‘ssĂ©gvállalás - kĂĽlönösen a nem a fogyasztĂłi piacra termelĹ‘ vállalatok esetĂ©ben - kevĂ©sbĂ© jelent versenyelĹ‘nyt számukra, mint a multinacionális vállalatok esetĂ©ben.
A kis- és közepes vállalatok környezeti és társadalmi elkötelezettsége nagymértékben függ a vállalatvezető személyes szerepvállalásától. Emellett a KKV-k társadalmi felelősségvállalásának fontos szereplői a munkavállalók, mind a felelősségvállalás területeinek kiválasztása, mind az alulról jövő kezdeményezések fontossága miatt a célkitűzések megfogalmazása, mind pedig az egyes eszközök bevezetésének hatékonysága szempontjából.
A kedvezĹ‘bb feltĂ©telek teremtĂ©se makro- Ă©s mikroszinten, vagyis a jogi feltĂ©telrendszer biztosĂtása Ă©s a multinacionális vállalatok aktĂvabb közreműködĂ©se elengedhetetlen a kis- Ă©s közepes vállalatok társadalmi felelĹ‘ssĂ©gvállalásának elĹ‘segĂtĂ©sĂ©ben

A magyar közlekedéspolitika stratégiai környezeti vizsgálata
A stratégiai környezeti vizsgálatok nemzetközi szakirodalmából származó tapasztalatokkal összhangban a közlekedéspolitika vizsgálatához a stratégiai környezeti vizsgálat szélesebb értelmezésének elfogadásával egy általános fenntarthatósági vizsgálat elvégzésére irányuló módszer kidolgozását kezdeményeztük.
Ennek keretében a közlekedéspolitika cél- és intézkedési rendszerét elemeztük a célok belső és külső konzisztenciája szempontjából, illetve az egyes célokat összevetettük a fenntarthatóság kritériumaival
The role of Corporate Social Responsibility in strong sustainability
The aim of this paper is to analyze to what extent corporate social responsibility (CSR) contributes to strong sustainability, i.e. to what extent the use of natural resources and the environment is possible, given the current level of economic activity. We therefore examine responsibilities that corporations should take in order to fulfil the requirements of strong sustainability. Based on current CSR practices and theory as well as on businesses motivations regarding environmental and social investments, we will introduce the role of corporations in influencing consumption patterns. Furthermore, we will attempt to answer to what extent responsible corporate behaviour is determined by the current economic system
