    The Use of Fractional Card Media-Based Concept Attainment Models to Improve Understanding of Fractional Concepts

    Purpose of the study: To find out the application of the Concept Attainment model with the help of fractional card media in increasing understanding of the concept of fractions in class II Ahmad Dahlan Elementary School. Methodology: The research was conducted at Ahmad Dahlan Elementary School in the even semester of 2018/2019. The research sample was 22 students. Research data obtained through student learning outcomes and observation sheets. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Qualitative data were analyzed to determine the learning process using the Concept Attainment learning model based on fractional card media. Main Findings: The results of the study show that the application of the Concept Attainment model assisted by fractional card media can improve understanding of the concept of fractions. By observing the results of understanding the concept of fractions in the first cycle, namely 53.01%, it increased in cycle II to 77.12%. In cycle I the results of the written test evaluation with classical completeness of 63.15% increased in cycle II by 18.66% to 81.81%. Novelty/Originality of this study: The latest research in this research is to combine the concept learning learning model with fraction card media which is generally not widely used, especially for learning fractions in elementary school mathematics, the benefits for students in this action research will then make it easier for them to face more difficult learning levels in the next class and can become a new teaching idea for teachers to facilitate student understanding

    Tujuan Penelitian: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika kelas X IPA 1 SMAN 1 Batanghari. Metodologi: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian berjumlah 10 peserta didik dengan teknik random sampling. Data pada penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan observasi atau pengamatan serta wawancara serta di analisis menggunakan teknik miles and huberman. Temuan utama: Hasil menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran tematik menjadi pembelajaran yang memberikan pengalaman yang luar biasa kepada peserta didik. Pembelajaran tematik akan memudahkan pendidik menyampaikan informasi kepada peserta didik. Salah satu dampaknya juga terasa pada hasil belajar peserta didik yang semakin membaik dengan tujuan peserta didik dapat mengembangkan kemampuan mereka berdasarkan muatan pelajaran yang disukai. Dengan pembelajaran tematik guru juga lebih mudah dalam menyampaikan informasi pembelajaran kepada peserta didik, sebab mereka sudah mampu menemukan konsep-konsep pada setiap muatan pelajaran. Keterbaruan penelitian: Setelah dilakukan penelitian didapatkan keterbaharuan dari penelitian ini yaitu pembelajaran tematik yang diterapkan di sekolah dasar memberikan dampak yang luar biasa bagi guru, peserta didik maupun lingkungan sekolah

    Mathematical physics e-module: A study of students' perception based on gender

    Student’s perception is the student's assessment of something or information. The objective of this study was to discover how students' general perceptions and gender differences in electronic modules of mathematical physics. The research type is survey-based research with quantitative approach. The research population consists of physics education students from Universitas Jambi with the sample of 80 students from class A and class B. The data analysis techniques used in the study are descriptive statistics analysis and inferential data analysis using t-tests. The results showed that, overall, students have a positive perception with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.011 < 0.005, which means that there is a significant difference in students’ perception. The perception of class A students with gender differences has a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.003, while the grade B students have a Sig. (2 tailed) values of 0.020 and 0.013. This means that class A and classs B students have a discernible difference of perception. Student’s perception may be used as a determining factor in the choice of learning materials. This research can be used as a guideline for the development of student perception assessment in the electronic module of Mathematical Physics in the future.     Comparison of Perception and Implementation of Mathematical Physics for Matrices

    Perception is a person's assessment of the object or information. The purpose of this study was to determine how students perceive and see which students have a positive perception of the e-module physics-mathematics matrix based on gender differences. The type of research used is survey research. The research approach used is quantitative research. The research population is Jambi University physics education students with a total sample of 120 students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical data analysis and inferential data analysis with Anova and post hoc Tukey B tests. The results of the study through the Anova test showed that female students and male students obtained sig. smaller than 0.05, namely 0.001 and 0.037, which means that the perception is significantly different from the post hoc results of the Anova test as a whole, indicating that the average perception does not have a significant difference. Male students have a more positive perception than female students. Gender differences that exist in students have an influence on student perceptions. Student perceptions can be used as a guide for lecturers to choose learning media that will be used in the classroom. This research can be used as a guideline for the development of student perception assessments on the mathematical physics e-module in the future with an update in this study, namely student perceptions of the mathematics physics e-module based on gender differences

    Identification of Students' Level of Understanding of Straight Motion Materials Class X MIPA SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi

    Purpose of the study: This study aims to identify the level of understanding of draft student class X MIPA against Theory motion straight. Methodology: A Study was conducted on 13-19 October 2020 at SMA Negeri 1 Muaro Jambi. A study was conducted with instruments in the form of a questionnaire containing questions about the Theory of motion straight. Data collection techniques are carried out with the method student fill in the questionnaire given in the form of questions about Theory motion straight via the google form link. Main Findings: From the research conducted generated data, 42% of the sample had a level lack of understanding of the Theory of motion straight, 36% of the sample had a level enough understanding of the material, 12% of the sample had level good understanding, 8% sample has level very poor understanding to material and only 2% of samples that have a level very good understanding to Theory motion straight taught. So can be concluded that participant students at SMAN 1 Muaro Jambi lack understanding of the Theory of motion straight that is taught and learned. Novelty/Originality of this study: Understanding is the ability of somebody to understand or understand something after something that is known or remembered, including the ability to catch meaning from the meaning of the material studied, which is stated with decipher contents tree from something reading, or change the data presented in form certain to other forms

    Pengaruh Kemandirian Terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas XI di SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi

    This study aims to determine the relationship and effect of independent learning on student achievement in physics class XI MIA at SMA Negeri 11 Kota Jambi. This research uses quantitative research and the method used in this research is the survey method. The data analysis technique used the SPSS application, by performing the normality test, correlation test, and simple linear regression test. From the results of the tests that have been done, it is obtained that the Pearson correlation is 0.936 which means that it is included in the very strong correlation category. Then, based on the simple linear regression test, the regression equation Y = -52,165 + 1,283 X was obtained. From the analysis, it was found that t hit = 18,420 and t table = (0.05 / 2: nk-1) = (0.05 / 2: 50-1-1) = 2,011. From these results it can be seen that the t hit> t table, namely 18,420> 2,011. So, it can be concluded that learning independence in physics has an effect on student achievement. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the independent attitude of students in learning physics has a correlation and is very influential on student achievement, especially in the cognitive aspect

    Deskripsi Motivasi Belajar Fisika Kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi

    Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar fisika siswa kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi. Metodologi: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 90 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket motivasi belajar fisika siswa. Jenis data penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Temuan utama: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar fisika siswa kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi memiliki 3 kategori yaitu (1) cukup baik dengan skor 65.1 – 85.0 memiliki persentase 14.4 %; (2) baik dengan skor 85.1 – 105 memiliki persentase 63.3 %; (3) sangat baik dengan skor 105.1 – 125 memiliki presentase 22.2 %. Keterbaruan penelitian: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi belajar fisika siswa kelas X MIPA di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi memiliki motivasi belajar yang baik atau tinggi. Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa pengetahuan siswa dan keaktifan dalam belajar juga tinggi

    Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk menganalisis pengaruh minat pembelajaran fisika terhadap hasil pembelajaran fisika. Metodologi: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Deskriptif Statistik dan regresi melalui pendekatan kuantitatif, melalui pemberian angket minat dan soal pilihan ganda dengan menggunakan google form secara online. Selanjutnya data tersebut akan diolah menggunakan program aplikasi pengolah data yaitu SPSS 23. Temuan utama: Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat diketahui bahwa minat pembelajaran fisika dapat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Untuk siswa yang bersungguh-sungguh berminat dalam pembelajaran fisika akan lebih mudah untuk mendapatkan hasil yang memuaskan namun untuk siswa yang tidak berminat dalam pembelajaran fisika akan cukup sulit untuk memahami fisika dan akan berdampak pada hasil belajar yang kurang memuaskan.     This study aims to determine the effect of silica sand mass in the air purification system on the decrease in Fe concentration. The type of research used is experimental research. The water purification media used in the research were silica sand and gravel. The mass of gravel used in the water purification system is constant, namely 500 grams. The mass of silica sand used varies, namely 200 grams, 400 grams, 600 grams, 800 grams and 1000 grams. The research was carried out through three stages, namely the stages of preparation, implementation, and data collection. The effect of the mass of silica sand in the air purification system on decreasing the concentration of Fe showed positive results. The results of research with a fixed mass of gravel and varying masses of silica sand showed a decrease in Fe concentration after water purification with a value that met environmental health quality standards and water health requirements Fe (iron) content below 1 mg/L or ppm so that the water worth using.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh massa pasir silika pada sistem pemurnian udara terhadap penurunan konsentrasi Fe. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen. Media penjernihan air yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pasir silika dan kerikil. Massa kerikil yang digunakan dalam sistem penjernihan air adalah konstan yaitu 500 gram. Massa pasir silika yang digunakan bervariasi yaitu 200 gram, 400 gram, 600 gram, 800 gram dan 1000 gram. Penelitian dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pengumpulan data. Pengaruh massa pasir silika pada sistem penjernihan udara terhadap penurunan konsentrasi Fe menunjukkan hasil yang positif. Hasil penelitian dengan massa kerikil tetap dan massa pasir silika bervariasi menunjukkan penurunan konsentrasi Fe setelah penjernihan air dengan nilai yang memenuhi baku mutu kesehatan lingkungan dan syarat kesehatan air Kandungan Fe (besi) di bawah 1 mg/L atau ppm sehingga air layak pakai

    Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara minat belajar Fisika dan hasil belajar Fisika pada materi Suhu dan Kalor yang dilakukan di kelas XI MIPA SMAN 4 Kota Jambi. Metodologi: Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Descriptif Statics. Dimana angket minat terdiri pernyataan-pernyataan dan angket pilihan ganda terdiri dari soal-soal mengenai materi Suhu dan Kalor. Sampel yang diteliti yaitu siswa kelas XI MIPA yang terdiri dari 60 siswa. Penyebaran angket dilakukan melalui Google Form dengan membagikan link yang didalamnya memuat angket berupa minat belajar Fisika berupa pernyataan-pernyataan yang terdiri dari pernyataan positif dan pernyataan negatif dan angket Soal Pilihan Ganda terdiri dari soal-soal dengan materi Suhu dan Kalor sebanyak 25 soal. Temuan utama: Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, terdapat hubungan antara minat belajar Fisika terhadap hasil belajar Fisika. Minat belajar Fisika berpengaruh terhadap hasil Belajar Fisika. Ketika minat belajar Fisika siswa tinggi maka hasil belajarnya akan memuaskan. Maka dari itu perlu sekali untuk meningkatkan minat siswa terhadap suatu pelajaran agar memperoleh hasil yang maksimal.
