Loop homology of spheres and complex projective spaces
In his Inventiones paper, Ziller (Invent. Math: 1-22, 1977) computed the
integral homology as a graded abelian group of the free loop space of compact,
globally symmetric spaces of rank 1. Chas and Sullivan (String Topology,
1999)showed that the homology of the free loop space of a compact closed
orientable manifold can be equipped with a loop product and a BV-operator
making it a Batalin-Vilkovisky algebra. Cohen, Jones and Yan (The loop homology
algebra of spheres and projective spaces, 2004) developed a spectral sequence
which converges to the loop homology as a spectral sequence of algebras. They
computed the algebra structure of the loop homology of spheres and complex
projective spaces by using Ziller's results and the method of Brown-Shih (Ann.
of Math. 69:223-246, 1959, Publ. Math. Inst. Hautes \'Etudes Sci. 3: 93-176,
1962). In this note we compute the loop homology algebra by using only spectral
sequences and the technique of universal examples. We therefore not only obtain
Zillers' and Brown-Shihs' results in an elementary way, we also replace the
roundabout computations of Cohen, Jones and Yan (The loop homology algebra of
spheres and projective spaces, 2004) making them independent of Ziller's and
Brown-Shihs' work. Moreover we offer an elementary technique which we expect
can easily be generalized and applied to a wider family of spaces, not only the
globally symmetric ones.Comment: 10 pages, 8 figure
Hamster leukemia virus: lack of endogenous DNA synthesis and unique structure of its DNA polymerase
Infectious hamster leukemia virus (HaLV) contains a DNA polymerase different from those of murine and avian viruses. No endogenous reaction directed by the 60 to 70S RNA of HaLV could be demonstrated in detergenttreated HaLV virions, nor could the purified DNA polymerase copy added viral RNA. The virion RNA could, however, act as template for added avian myeloblastosis virus DNA polymerase and the HaLV DNA polymerase could efficiently utilize homopolymers as templates. The HaLV enzyme was like other reverse transcriptases in that certain ribohomopolymers were much better templates than the homologous deoxyribohomopolymers. No ribonuclease H activity could be shown in the HaLV enzyme, but neither could activity be found in the murine leukemia virus DNA polymerase. The hamster enzyme was unique in that poly(A) ·oligo(dT) was a poor template, and globin mRNA primed with oligo(dT) was totally inactive as a template. Its uniqueness was also indicated by its subunit composition; electrophoresis of the HaLV DNA polymerase in sodium dodecyl sulfate-containing polyacrylamide gels revealed equimolar amounts of two polypeptides of molecular weight 68,000 and 53,000. The sedimentation rate of the enzyme in glycerol gradients was consistent with a structure containing one each of the two polypeptides. The enzyme thus appears to be structurally distinct from other known virion DNA polymerases. Its inability to carry out an endogenous reaction in vitro might result from an inability to utilize certain primers

The Role of Product Knowledge and Attitudes toward Purchasing Intentions: The Moderating Effect of Religiosity on Halal Cosmetics
This study aimed to explore the influence of the product knowledge, attitude on consumer, purchase intention and the moderating effect of religiosity on halal cosmetics. The samples of this research paper were halal cosmetics consumers. The research used purposive sampling. There were 96 respondents participating in this research. Data were analyzed by using SEM with Warp PLS 4.0. The result indicated that product knowledge and attitude had significant and positive value on the purchase intention. This study proved religiosity as the influence moderation of product knowledge towards purchase intention. However, it cannot be the influence moderation of the attitude towards the purchase intention. The Implication of this study showed that Muslim became smarter and selective on choosing the products to be consumed. Thus, one’s religiosity determined the shaping of consumer intentionbehavior. The high level of religiosity of people would make them to be more selective on using a product. On the other hand, the low level of religiosity of people would make them to be ignorant with the information of halal product. Keywords: Product

The three-quark static potential in perturbation theory
We study the three-quark static potential in perturbation theory in QCD. A
complete next-to-leading order calculation is performed in the singlet, octets
and decuplet channels and the potential exponentiation is demonstrated. The
mixing of the octet representations is calculated. At next-to-next-to-leading
order, the subset of diagrams producing three-body forces is identified in
Coulomb gauge and its contribution to the potential calculated. Combining it
with the contribution of the two-body forces, which may be extracted from the
quark-antiquark static potential, we obtain the complete
next-to-next-to-leading order three-quark static potential in the
colour-singlet channel.Comment: 36 pages, 11 figures, version published in Phys.Rev.
