    Indonesia should focus on cocoa products that have the highest competitiveness in order to compete with other competitors in cocoa International trade. This research aimed to analyze Indonesia's cocoa and cocoa preparations competitiveness. Data used in this research were secondary data. Research began with analyzed cocoa and cocoa preparations market structure. The result showed that the market structure of cocoa paste, cocoa butter and cocoa powder (unsweetened) classified as an oligopoly, in the other hand cocoa beans classified as monopoly. RCA (Revealed Comparative Advantage) method showed that Indonesia had comparative advantages on cocoa beans, cocoa paste and cocoa butter (RCA>1). TSI (Trade Specialization Index) method showed that Indonesia had a tendency as a net exporter of cocoa beans, cocoa paste and cocoa butter. EPD (Export Products Dynamic) method showed that Indonesia had a high competitive advantages on cocoa beans, cocoa paste, cocoa butter and cocoa powder (unsweetened)

    The purpose of the study was to obtain the best formulation of super red dragon fruit peel pulp and white sweet potato flour on the nutritional value of cookie-generated and approve the SNI 01-2973-1992. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications. The treatment in this study were K1 (dragon fruit super red peel pulp 5%, white sweet potato flour 30%), K2 (dragon fruit super red peel pulp 10%, white sweet potato flour 25%), K3 (dragon fruit super red peel pulp 15%, white sweet potato flour 20%) and K4 (dragon fruit super red peel pulp 20%, white sweet potato flour 15%). The result showed that the treatments provides significant effect on moisture content, ash content, protein content, and sensory assessment by hedonic the color attribute, but did notsignificantly affectedon the sensory descriptive assessment. Cookie-best treatment in this study was K1 within 4.395% moisture content, 1.928% ash content and 8.957% protein content

    Use Of Ovaprim With Different Doses On Sperm Quality And Spawning Of Signal Barb (Labeobarbus Festivus, Heckel 1843)

    This research was conducted on April until June 2015, at Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, University of Riau. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of ovaprim with different doses on sperm quality of signal barb (L. festivus, Heckel 1843) and for completion of this research then the best dosage obtained through observations on sperm quality will then be injected against gonads mature male brood and then spawned with the female injected with the best dose (0.7 ml/kg body weight). The results showed that ovaprim on doses 0.7 ml/kg body weight gives the best results for the cement volume (0,013 ml/g), concentration (878 x 107), motility (79,46%), viability (84,07 %). results for spawning resulted in average: fertility rate (40,39 %), hatching rate (14,85 %), and survival rate within 5 days (38,07 %)

    The sausage is processed products that is very popular among the community. Type of sausages in the market are beef sausage and chicken sausage.Sausages that can be also made from catfish which has good nutritional value as well as a new product which is appreciated by the public. The purposes of the study was to obtain the best sausage formulations of dumbo catfish and bamboo shoot using the SNI quality standards. The research was conducted experimentally using completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and four repetitions, followed by DNMRT test at 5% level. The treatment in this study were LDR1 (ratio catfish 95and bamboo shoots 5) LDR2 (ratio catfish 90 and bamboo shoots 10) LDR3 (ratio catfish 85 and bamboo shoots 15) LDR4 (ratio catfish 80 and bamboo shoots 20) and LDR5 (ratio catfish 75 and bamboo shoots 25). Parameters observed were the moisture, ash, fat, protein, carbohydrates, crude fiber contants and sensory evaluation. Results of the analysis of variance showed the addition of catfish and bamboo shoot significanlyaffectedall parameters. The results of the study found that the best treatment was LDR4 with a value of 62,68% moisture content, 1,65%ash, 4,15% fat,13,48% protein, 18,04% carbohydrates and fiber content 2,49% and an overall assessment of sensory preferred by panellists

    Strategi Pengembangan Unit Usaha Bioetanol PT Perkebunan Nusantara XI dengan Pendekatan A\u27WOT

    The objectives of this study were (i) to analyze external and internal factors of bioethanol business unit in PT Perkebunan Nusantara XI and (ii) to evolve its development strategy. The study used A\u27WOT analysis, a combination of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and SWOT analysis. The results of A\u27WOT analysis are internal factors of company: strength is availability of raw materials (0.383) and weakness is high production costs (0.536). External factors of company: opportunity is market opportunity (0.340) and threat is the low market index prices (0.305). Strategy prioritized in the development of bioethanol business unit is reducing the cost of production to cut costs that are not important and increasing the efficiency of production facilities in order to gain more profit (0.271)

    Cempedak seed was found to have high starchsof content and yet it has not been optimally utilized. Therefore this research was aimed to utilized the starchsof cempedak seed as material of edible film and to get the best formulations of added of starchscempedak seed. This research was conducted experimentaly by used Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatmens and four replications which followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at level 5%. The treatmens in this research include P1 (2 g starch cempedak seed), P2 (3 g starch cempedak seed), P3(4 g starch cempedak seed), and P4 (5 g starch cempedak seed). The results of research showed that addedof concentrations starchscempedak seed gave significantly affect on water content, thickness, solubility, water uptake, and water vapor transfer rateedible film. The best formulationswas obtained on the edible film with added of starch cempedak seed 5% which has water content of 21.98%, thickness of 0.15mm, solubility of 30.03%, water uptake of 62.74%, and water vapor transfer rate of 0.18g/m2/hour

    A gap between national beef consumption and beef production becomes an opportunity for beef cattle fattening business. The purpose of this research is to analyze the feasibility of beef cattle fattening. The research was conducted at the main office of PT Catur Mitra Taruma at South Jakarta and its feedlot stall at Desa Cariu, Kabupaten Bogor. Aqualitative analysis method was used to analyze the non-financial feasibility, that covered market aspects, technical aspects, management and law aspects, and also social, economic, and environmental aspects. The financial feasibility was analyzed quantitatively by investment criteria and switching value analysis. The result shows that beef cattle fattening in PT Catur Mitra Taruma is feasibleand it is more sensitive to the decreasing sales of beef cattle than to the increasing price of feed
