Theory of Double-Sided Flux Decorations
A novel two-sided Bitter decoration technique was recently employed by Yao et
al. to study the structure of the magnetic vortex array in high-temperature
superconductors. Here we discuss the analysis of such experiments. We show that
two-sided decorations can be used to infer {\it quantitative} information about
the bulk properties of flux arrays, and discuss how a least squares analysis of
the local density differences can be used to bring the two sides into registry.
Information about the tilt, compressional and shear moduli of bulk vortex

Clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of Shiro Abhyanga in Nidranasha w.s.r. to Insomnia
Nidranasha is one of common disorder which affects the quality of life. Acharya Charaka has mentioned Nidra as one among the Trayo upastambha. which is an essential factor to lead a healthy life. Further he mentions Sukha, Dukha, Pushti, Karshya, Bala, Dourbalya, Purushatva, Klaibyata, Jnaana, Ajnaana, Jeevitha and Mrityu all are depended on proper and improper Sleep. Nidranasha is one among the Vataja Nanatmaja Vyadhi. In Nidranasha Shiroabhyanga is the one of the effective treatment. Abhyanga means the application of Sneha, suitable to one’s constitution, age, season, particular disease and atmosphere. Shiro Abhyanga is a Bahirparimarjana Chikitsa and are also a part of Dinacharya, is told to be beneficial in inducing Nidra. For clinical study total 15 patients were registered from O.P.D. and I.P.D. of K.V.G. Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Ambatedka. Implementation of a Deutsch-like quantum algorithm utilizing entanglement at the two-qubit level, on an NMR quantum information processor
We describe the experimental implementation of a recently proposed quantum
algorithm involving quantum entanglement at the level of two qubits using NMR.
The algorithm solves a generalisation of the Deutsch problem and distinguishes
between even and odd functions using fewer function calls than is possible
classically. The manipulation of entangled states of the two qubits is
essential here, unlike the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm and the Grover's search

On the Global Existence of Bohmian Mechanics
We show that the particle motion in Bohmian mechanics, given by the solution
of an ordinary differential equation, exists globally: For a large class of
potentials the singularities of the velocity field and infinity will not be
reached in finite time for typical initial values. A substantial part of the
analysis is based on the probabilistic significance of the quantum flux. We
elucidate the connection between the conditions necessary for global existence
and the self-adjointness of the Schr\"odinger Hamiltonian.Comment: 35 pages, LaTe
Renormalization Group and Decoupling in Curved Space: II. The Standard Model and Beyond
We continue the study of the renormalization group and decoupling of massive
fields in curved space, started in the previous article and analyse the higher
derivative sector of the vacuum metric-dependent action of the Standard Model.
The QCD sector at low-energies is described in terms of the composite effective
fields. For fermions and scalars the massless limit shows perfect
correspondence with the conformal anomaly, but similar limit in a massive
vector case requires an extra compensating scalar. In all three cases the
decoupling goes smoothly and monotonic. A particularly interesting case is the
renormalization group flow in the theory with broken supersymmetry, where the
sign of one of the beta-functions changes on the way from the UV to IR.Comment: 27 pages, 8 figure
Universality of Frequency and Field Scaling of the Conductivity Measured by Ac-Susceptibility of a Ybco-Film
Utilizing a novel and exact inversion scheme, we determine the complex linear
conductivity from the linear magnetic ac-susceptibility
which has been measured from 3\,mHz to 50\,MHz in fields between 0.4\,T and
4\,T applied parallel to the c-axis of a 250\,nm thin disk. The frequency
derivative of the phase and the dynamical scaling of
above and below provide clear evidence for a
continuous phase transition at to a generic superconducting state. Based
on the vortex-glass scaling model, the resulting critical exponents and
are close to those frequently obtained on films by other means and
associated with an 'isotropic' vortex glass. The field effect on
can be related to the increase of the glass coherence length,

Domain regime in two-dimensional disordered vortex matter
A detailed numerical study of the real space configuration of vortices in
disordered superconductors using 2D London-Langevin model is presented. The
magnetic field is varied between 0 and for various pinning
strengths . For weak pinning, an inhomogeneous disordered vortex matter
is observed, in which the topologically ordered vortex lattice survives in
large domains. The majority of the dislocations in this state are confined to
the grain boundaries/domain walls. Such quasi-ordered configurations are
observed in the intermediate fields, and we refer it as the domain regime (DR).
The DR is distinct from the low-field and the high-fields amorphous regimes
which are characterized by a homogeneous distribution of defects over the
entire system. Analysis of the real space configuration suggests domain wall
roughening as a possible mechanism for the crossover from the DR to the
high-field amorphous regime. The DR also shows a sharp crossover to the high
temperature vortex liquid phase. The domain size distribution and the roughness
exponent of the lattice in the DR are also calculated. The results are compared
with some of the recent Bitter decoration experiments.Comment: 9 pages, 9 figure
Intermediate inflation in Gauss-Bonnet braneworld
In this article we study an intermediate inflationary universe models using
the Gauss-Bonnet brane. General conditions required for these models to be
realizable are derived and discussed. We use recent astronomical observations

Recent developments in planet migration theory
Planetary migration is the process by which a forming planet undergoes a
drift of its semi-major axis caused by the tidal interaction with its parent
protoplanetary disc. One of the key quantities to assess the migration of
embedded planets is the tidal torque between the disc and planet, which has two
components: the Lindblad torque and the corotation torque. We review the latest
results on both torque components for planets on circular orbits, with a
special emphasis on the various processes that give rise to additional, large
components of the corotation torque, and those contributing to the saturation
of this torque. These additional components of the corotation torque could help
address the shortcomings that have recently been exposed by models of planet
population syntheses. We also review recent results concerning the migration of
giant planets that carve gaps in the disc (type II migration) and the migration
of sub-giant planets that open partial gaps in massive discs (type III

ASTERIX and 2.0 Knowledge Management : exploring the appropriation of 2.0 KMS via the Myth of the Gaulish village
International audienceKnowledge Management Systems (KMS) in companies have profoundly changed in recent years. They have become KMS 2.0 that aim to transform the firm and are driven by a new relationship to knowledge in line with 2.0 organisations. These 2.0 KMS have implemented modes of organisation that disrupt those that previously guided firms’ performance. This can sometimes lead to paradoxical organizational dysfunctions as witnessed by the difficulties faced by some traditionally hierarchical French companies. Through a case study of Constructor and a theoretical background on IS appropriation in organizations and myths in management, we show how the Asterix myth contributes to understanding how 2.0. KMS are appropriated in such companies. We find evidence of similarities regarding knowledge and Knowledge Management between the Asterix’ myth and the behaviours and practices concerning knowledge management within Constructor. As a result, the Asterix’ myth may be a relevant perspective for understanding the obstacles, advantages and appropriations of 2.0. KMS within French organizations
