Reflexões acerca da busca de uma nova qualidade da educação: relações entre juventude, educação e trabalho

No Brasil, a condição juvenil contemporânea é produzida pela recente expansão das oportunidades de escolarização, pela diversidade de vivências e experiências que os jovens produzem em instâncias sociais distintas das instituições tradicionais de reprodução social. A escola que logram acessar não produziu uma qualidade efetiva, pois pauta seu trabalho a partir de representações que pouco têm a ver com os adolescentes e jovens concretos. Assim, no caso brasileiro, é preciso relativizar a máxima de que educação escolar faz juventude e considerar que tal ideal da modernidade só será atingido quando for possível combinar a universalização da escola básica e a qualidade que tal condição carrega com a possibilidade dos jovens viverem a integração no universo do trabalho, como experimentação e não como compulsoriedade, a partir de um outro modelo social que garanta os ideais de universalização dos direitos à escola e ao trabalho a todos os jovens

Local Governments and Public Politics of Education of Youths and Adults

This article objectives to present and to analyze the manners as governments of local administrations of urban space, in recent years, come drawing and implementing public politics of youths' and adults' education. First, it is approached the public politics of youths' and adults' education implemented by city Executives, between 1987-2003. Period during which we can verify, in the Area that served as scenery to the study, the emergency and coexistence of two "generations of politics": the first anchored in the idea of supplying State and the second anchored in the principle of the social participation and marked by the evident shortage of resources. It was looked for, still, to analyze the place that the executed public actions occupied inside the organization of the school education and the contribution that it gave to guarantee the social participation and the new actors' constitution in the public sphere

Monográfico con el título: "Participación escolar y cívica de los jóvenes iberoamericanos: interrelaciones en contextos diversos sociales y digitales"Se presenta una experiencia con la Rede Beija-flor de Pequenas Bibliotecas Vivas de Santo André, una organización de la sociedad civil, en el campo del derecho a la literatura, como un derecho humano para todos. Santo André, SP, Brasil es una ciudad rica pero desigual, marcada por su antigua identidad obrera, aunque hoy ya no sabe cuál es su identidad. Los actores incluyen profesores universitarios, jóvenes estudiantes en formación para ser maestros de primaria y habitantes de territorios vulnerables. La experiencia apunta a posibilidades de relación entre diferentes generaciones históricas y de época dentro de un orden cultural configurativo, por lo tanto, temporal. Todo es abierto e indefinido. El lugar, la biblioteca viviente, no es el hogar, el trabajo o la escuela. Es un tercer lugar, donde las personas se encuentran consigo mismas y con los demás, un lugar de total libertad. Hasta el momento, esta experiencia indica nuevas formas de actuar, considerando la díada “ciudadanos inteligentes” a “ciudades participativas” en tiempos de incertidumbre.ES

The schools to which they have access do not produce effective quality because they work based on representations that have little to do with real teenagers and young people. Thus, in the case of Brazil, one must relativize the motto that school education « makes youth » and consider that the modern youth's condition will only be attained when it becomes possible to combine the universalization of primary and secondary schools and the quality that this condition requires, allowing young people to live the integration in the work universe as experimentation and not in a compulsory way, based on another social model that garantees the ideals of universalization, the rights to school and work to all the young people

Momentum Transfer from the DART Mission Kinetic Impact on Asteroid Dimorphos.

The NASA Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission performed a kinetic impact on asteroid Dimorphos, the satellite of the binary asteroid (65803) Didymos, at 23:14 UTC on September 26, 2022 as a planetary defense test1. DART was the first hypervelocity impact experiment on an asteroid at size and velocity scales relevant to planetary defense, intended to validate kinetic impact as a means of asteroid deflection. Here we report the first determination of the momentum transferred to an asteroid by kinetic impact. Based on the change in the binary orbit period2, we find an instantaneous reduction in Dimorphos's along-track orbital velocity component of 2.70 ± 0.10 mm s-1, indicating enhanced momentum transfer due to recoil from ejecta streams produced by the impact3,4. For a Dimorphos bulk density range of 1,500 to 3,300 kg m-3, we find that the expected value of the momentum enhancement factor, [Formula: see text], ranges between 2.2 and 4.9, depending on the mass of Dimorphos. If Dimorphos and Didymos are assumed to have equal densities of 2,400 kg m-3, [Formula: see text]. These [Formula: see text] values indicate that significantly more momentum was transferred to Dimorphos from the escaping impact ejecta than was incident with DART. Therefore, the DART kinetic impact was highly effective in deflecting the asteroid Dimorphos
