In the framework of the Bogolyubov approximation and using the Bogolyubov inequalities we give a simple proof of the coexistence of two non-conventional Bose-Einstein condensates in the case of some superstable Bose system whose atoms have an internal two-level structure and their energy operators in the second quantized form depend on the number operators only.Comment: 17 page

The experimental activity is one of the key aspects in the teaching and learning process of the Natural Science for the theoretical foundation that can contribute to the students and the development of different skills for which the experimental activity is fundamental, furthermore in terms of the development of students thinking abilities and the development of a science conception derivative from the type and purpose of the practical proposed activities. The lab work favors and promotes the Natural Science learning, because it allows the students to ask themselves about their knowledge and confronted it with reality. Also, student use his previous knowledge and verify them through the practice. For that reason, it is important to develop in the students of the third of school Nuestra Se?ora de la Sabidur?a, new methodologies that allow them advance in the learning process to improve the basic abilities in a lab, making a working document which will provide answer to several outstanding questions that would constitute a tool for the students in the classroom realizing the research of new training trends on didactic suggestions developing with this technique a pretext to find new destinations from those authentic questions that move us to investigate, read and write that would allow to take a broad approach towards the natural Science area and promote the development of scientific thinking. Between 1993 and 1997, 98 gnathostomosis cases were clinically identified in Acapulco, Mexico. Intermittent cutaneous migratory swellings were the commonest manifestation. Larvae were identified in 26 cases, while in 72, final diagnosis was made on the basis of epidemiologic data, food habits, and positive enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and Western blot results

Search for Axionlike and Scalar Particles with the NA64 Experiment

We carried out a model-independent search for light scalar (s) and pseudoscalar axionlike (a) particles that couple to two photons by using the high-energy CERN SPS H4 electron beam. The new particles, if they exist, could be produced through the Primakoff effect in interactions of hard bremsstrahlung photons generated by 100 GeV electrons in the NA64 active dump with virtual photons provided by the nuclei of the dump. The a(s) would penetrate the downstream HCAL module, serving as shielding, and would be observed either through their a(s)→γγa(s)\to\gamma \gamma decay in the rest of the HCAL detector or as events with large missing energy if the a(s) decays downstream of the HCAL. This method allows for the probing the a(s) parameter space, including those from generic axion models, inaccessible to previous experiments. No evidence of such processes has been found from the analysis of the data corresponding to 2.84×10112.84\times10^{11} electrons on target allowing to set new limits on the a(s)γγa(s)\gamma\gamma-coupling strength for a(s) masses below 55 MeV.Comment: This publication is dedicated to the memory of our colleague Danila Tlisov. 7 pages, 5 figures, revised version accepted for publication in Phys. Intensive Care Unit Admission after Cytoreductive Surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy. Is It Necessary?

Introduction. Cytoreductive surgery (CS) with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) is a new approach for peritoneal carcinomatosis. However, high rates of complications are associated with CS and HIPEC due to treatment complexity; that is why some patients need stabilization and surveillance for complications in the intensive care unit. Objective. This study analyzed that ICU stay is necessary after HIPEC. Methods. 39 patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis were treated according to strict selection criteria with CS and HIPEC, with closed technique, and the chemotherapy administered were cisplatin 25 mg/m2/L and mitomycin C 3.3 mg/m2/L for 90-minutes at 40.5°C. Results. 26 (67%) of the 39 patients were transferred to the ICU. Major postoperative complications were seen in 14/26 patients (53%). The mean time on surgical procedures was 7.06 hours (range 5−9 hours). The mean blood loss was 939 ml (range 100–3700 ml). The mean time stay in the ICU was 2.7 days. Conclusion. CS with HIPEC for the treatment of PC results in low mortality and high morbidity. Therefore, ICU stay directly following HIPEC should not be standardized, but should preferably be based on the extent or resections performed and individual patient characteristics and risk factors. Late complications were comparable to those reported after large abdominal surgery without HIPEC

Constraints on New Physics in the Electron g-2 from a Search for Invisible Decays of a Scalar, Pseudoscalar, Vector, and Axial Vector

We performed a search for a new generic XX boson, which could be a scalar (SS), pseudoscalar (PP), vector (VV) or an axial vector (AA) particle produced in the 100 GeV electron scattering off nuclei, e−Z→e−ZXe^- Z \to e^- Z X, followed by its invisible decay in the NA64 experiment at CERN. No evidence for such process was found in the full NA64 data set of 2.84×10112.84\times 10^{11} electrons on target. We place new bounds on the S,P,V,AS, P, V, A coupling strengths to electrons, and set constraints on their contributions to the electron anomalous magnetic moment aea_e, ∣ΔaX∣≲10−15−10−13|\Delta a_{X}| \lesssim 10^{-15} - 10^{-13} for the XX mass region mX≲1m_X\lesssim 1 GeV. These results are an order of magnitude more sensitive compared to the current accuracy on aea_e from the electron g−2g-2 experiments and recent high-precision determination of the fine structure constant.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figure
