    A dynamic analysis of the incidence rate in adolescents of the Russian Federation and Novosibirsk Region

    By means of calculation of the incidence mean value, the amplitude of oscillation and a dynamic analysis, we investigated data from official statistical collections of the Federal State Statistics Service (Public Health in Russia, Russian Statistical Yearbook). We assessed the incidence rate using medical aid appealability of adolescents (15-І7 years) in the Russian Federation and Novosibirsk region during the period from 2004 to 2013. A comparative dynamic analysis of general incidence of the adolescents of the Russian Federation and Novosibirsk region has shown that the medical referral level is higher in the Russian Federation by 33.8 % with an average increase by 3.4 % per year on average, especially for such types of diseases as digestive diseases, diseases of the endocrine system, diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue, circulatory system diseases, diseases of the eye and adnexa, diseases of the ear and mastoid process, nervous system diseases (44.1 %; 31.9 %; 26.0 %; 24.9 %; 23.8 %; 22.9 %; 21.3 %; 19.8 % respectively); the medical referral level of Novosibirsk region was higher by 30.2 % with an average increase by 3.0 % per year on average, infectious and parasitic pathology was higher by 43.0 % mainly. The differences in the levels of medical help and the structure of the main types of diseases that determine the nature of adolescent morbidity in the Russian Federation and Novosibirsk region, which predetermines the need to ensure appropriate coordination of medical activities and services

    Bombardment of the surface by a low-energy ion flow accelerated in the near-surface layer of the space charge

    The paper presents a method for the formation of low-energy ion flow for creation and treatment of functional coatings without radiation damage. Plasma source based in arc discharge with filament cathode creates the primary plasma in the volume of vacuum chamber where the treated sample is placed. The formation of low-energy ion flow takes place in the layer of space charge near the samples surface. The behavior of the ion current density depending on the potential drop in the layer has been studied for various experimental parameters and conditions. The sample surface treatment by low-energy ion flow has been also evaluated.Представлено спосіб формування низькоенергетичного потоку іонів для створення та обробки функціональних покриттів без радіаційних пошкоджень. Джерело плазми на основі дугового розряду з катодом розжарення створює первинну плазму в об’ємі вакуумної камери, де розміщується зразок, що обробляється.     Haplotype analysis of APOE intragenic SNPs

    BACKGROUND: APOE epsilon4 allele is most common genetic risk factor for Alzheimer\u27s disease (AD) and cognitive decline. However, it remains poorly understood why only some carriers of APOE epsilon4 develop AD and how ethnic variabilities in APOE locus contribute to AD risk. Here, to address the role of APOE haplotypes, we reassessed the diversity of APOE locus in major ethnic groups and in Alzheimer\u27s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) dataset on patients with AD, and subjects with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), and control non-demented individuals. RESULTS: We performed APOE gene haplotype analysis for a short block of five SNPs across the gene using the ADNI whole genome sequencing dataset. The compilation of ADNI data with 1000 Genomes identified the APOE epsilon4 linked haplotypes, which appeared to be distant for the Asian, African and European populations. The common European epsilon4-bearing haplotype is associated with AD but not with MCI, and the Africans lack this haplotype. Haplotypic inference revealed alleles that may confer protection against AD. By assessing the DNA methylation profile of the APOE haplotypes, we found that the AD-associated haplotype features elevated APOE CpG content, implying that this locus can also be regulated by genetic-epigenetic interactions. CONCLUSIONS: We showed that SNP frequency profiles within APOE locus are highly skewed to population-specific haplotypes, suggesting that the ancestral background within different sites at APOE gene may shape the disease phenotype. We propose that our results can be utilized for more specific risk assessment based on population descent of the individuals and on higher specificity of five site haplotypes associated with AD

The recommended fertilization system provided nitrogen compensation for crop yields by only 31–76%. Hence, in the plant-fertilizer system nitrogen deficiency varies from 161 to 370 kg ha-1 . The greatest nitrogen deficiency in the soil is observed in crop rotation without the use of fertilizers with the following crop rotation: peas-winter wheat-grain maize-spring barley. The main source of nitrogen for plants is soil nitrogen. In crop rotations with legumes, biological nitrogen is supplied from the air, which in quantitative terms per rotation in crop rotations with peas is 109–288 kg ha-1 , with soybeans 264–312, and with alfalfa 486 kg ha-1 . Biological nitrogen in crop rotations with peas and soybeans is reimbursed from 25 to 62%, in crop rotation without legumes - 9% (non-symbiotic nitrogen fixation), and in crop rotation with alfalfa - 89% of the total nitrogen removal with the crop

    Evolution of CpG-islands by means of tandem duplications

    CG-rich islands (CpG-islands, or CGI) are important functional elements in a genome of vertebrates. In particular, they: a) initiate transcription as promoters in most (> 50 %) genes of vertebrates, in some cases bi-directional, due to self-complement feature of cg dinucleotides; b) form a global methylation landscape; c) act as a transcription “switch” via methylation. The degenerate nature of CpG-island (elevated CG composition) implies an increase in the probability of tandem repeats and palindromes within CpG- island. This work is devoted to the identification of tandem duplications of complete CpG-islands, i. e. considering mega monomers of size 400–5 000 bp, in the human genome. We found a range of inter- and intragenic tandem duplications of CpG-islands. Intergenic CpGi duplication mediates through CG-rich telomeric satellites, as well as elements of the SINE. One of the most pronounced tandems are located in chromosome 19, known for its abundance of segment duplications and gene expansion. We also underline the unique genomic segment, which is DXZ4 mega satellite, in q arm of chromosome X, also falling into the category of CpG-islands which evolved by tandem duplications rounds

Among the consequences are: a result about inscribing skew crosspolytopes in hypersurfaces in R2k\mathbb R^{2^k}, and a result about equipartition of a measures in R2k\mathbb R^{2^k} by (Z2)k+1(Z_2)^{k+1}-symmetric convex fans

    Tissue engineering has significant potential for solving the problems of durability of biological tissues when used in cardiac and vascular reconstructive surgery. A decellularization technology has been proposed for obtaining a biomaterial, morphologically and functionally similar to the damaged human heart tissue. This review discusses various aspects and models of biological tissue decellularization, including the modern technology of using supercritical carbon dioxide as the most eco-friendly and promising method. Тканевая инженерия обладает значительным потенциалом для решения проблем долговечности биологических тканей при использовании в реконструктивной хирургии структур сердца и сосудов.
