Get PDF
The goal of the paper is development of more effective technology formation photovoltaic and photoresistive elements based on the polar and nonpolar polymers dispersed by CdS, ZnS, CdSe and CdTl particles. It was established that: 1. The interphase interaction in photoelectric composites on the interphase boundary is considerably depended on particle size of inorganic phase; 2. Polymer matrix is not passive phase in photoelectric composites, but defines a value of Rdark resistance/Rlight resistance parameter and value of photo-emf; 3. 3. Plasma crystallization of photoelectric composites is accompanied by formation of local levels with high concentration and activation energy in quasi-forbidden band of polymer matrix; 4. Doping of ferroelectric component with domain structure into photoelectric composite of polymer-CdS leads to increasing concentration of centers of local electric fields promoted division of photoinduced charges

The organism of chicken infected with individual pathogens exhibits relatively simple patho-anatomical modifications in the presence of two or three separate bacterial pathogens. Because it is highly challenging to differentiate between mixed bacterial infections based just on clinical symptoms, pathologoanatomical examination and distinction are preferred. These disorders will be accurately diagnosed promptly and without delay if the pathologo-anatomical investigations are properly examined, and preventive measures will be consistently applied

Issues of Economic Security in the Military-Industrial Complex

The development of the defense-industrial complex of Russia is one of the priorities of state domestic policy. At the same time, the defense-industrial complex is not only the main supplier of products intended for the military organization of the state, but also the driver of economic growth. Despite the significant state support of the defense industry complex, the main instrument of which is the state defense order, there are many problems in this area. We will try on the basis of analysis of the prospects and main problems of the development of the national defense industry in 2018-2025 identify the main factors that affect the level of its economic security and disclose their content

RESEARCH OF THERMAL STATUS OF THREADING ZONE WITH THE HELP OF FULL FACTOR EXPERIMENT

Thermal processing zone status when threading in heatproof, high-strength and titanium alloys is a major problem in the general theory of metal cutting. Under other equal conditions temperature in the processing zone of these materials is higher than in cutting of carbon structural steels, as they have high strength and ductility, low thermal conductivity, that makes difficult the working conditions of the taps, increases the area of the tool contact with the workpiece, deteriorates lubrication and cooling of the cutting area because of the increased tendency of heatresistant materials for the curing. This causes an increase in the work and force of friction and as a consequence the rise of cutting temperature. Research of temperature state of the threaded coils formation zone with combined countersink tool-tap is one of the major challenges facing the authors of this work. When performing the work was used factorial experiment. The temperature in the cutting zone of the thread was determined by a built-in chromel-aluminum thermocouple with thermoelectrode cross-sectional area 0,23mm2 . Experiments were carried out using the apparatus of mathematical statistics. Studies have shown that the greatest impact on the temperature state of the cutting area has a tensile strength of the material. Effect of cutting speed in the studied variation range is relatively less noticeable. The explanation for this is a special scheme of cutting of combined countersink tap which allows significantly improve conditions in the cutting zone. The proposed design of the tap allows to reduce the temperature in the area of tapping for 20%

The technology for creation of the polymer-microsized piezoelectriccomposite substrate is developed by employing the electric gas dis-charge plasma method. It is determined experimentally that as aresult of the nano-structurization of the volume of the polymer-pie-zoceramic composite close to the surface it is Young and piezo-modulus as well as the mechanical quality and electromechanicalcoupling coefficients and the dielectric constant has been increased, whereas, tangent losses are decreased depending on the type of thenanoparticle and its volume rate

Aim. To determine the incidence, predictors and develop a model for long-term risk stratification of ischemic events in patients with coronary artery disease after coronary bypass surgery.Material and methods. This retrospective study of the clinical course in patients with diffuse coronary artery disease (CAD) after coronary endarterectomy and bypass grafting surgery. A total of 232 patients were included, while long-term outcomes were assessed in 202 patients. Among them, complete data on clinical status were obtained from survivors (n=191). The median follow-up was 60 (interquartile range, 42; 74) months, while the minimum follow-up — 12 months, the maximum was 96 months. The primary composite endpoint reflecting the unfavorable course of CAD included coronary ischemic events (recurrent angina, myocardial infarction, repeat revascularization), while secondary endpoint — allcause mortality. The factors influencing the development of primary and secondary endpoints were studied.Results. An unfavorable CAD course was diagnosed in 39 patients (20,4%), while 11 deaths were recorded (5,4%). Univariate analysis demonstrated a significant role of prior myocardial infarction in the increase in mortality rate (p=0,029). Among the factors influencing the CAD course, no significant differences were obtained for any of them. A multivariate analysis was performed to identify a high-risk group for an unfavorable course of diffuse CAD. Independent predictors were identified, the most significant contribution of which was made by multifocal atherosclerosis (odds ratio (OR)=1,99, 95% confidence interval (CI), 0,93-4,21, p=0,072), low adherence to secondary prevention measures (OR=2,21, 95% CI, 0,86-6,89, p=0,128) and diabetes (OR=1,73, 95% CI, 0,79-3,72, p=0,162). Using the results obtained, a prognostic model with high specificity (64%) and moderate sensitivity (53%) was created.Conclusion. The highest probability of an unfavorable long-term course of diffuse CAD was noted in patients with diabetes, multifocal atherosclerosis, and low adherence to secondary prevention measures. The obtained results make it possible to identify a high-risk group in this cohort of patients, determine the reserve of secondary prevention measures and a direction of actions to improve outcomes

Core mutations, IL28B polymorphisms and response to peginterferon/ribavirin treatment in Swedish patients with hepatitis C virus genotype 1 infection

Abstract

Background

Patients infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 respond poorly to standard treatment with 50% or less achieving sustained virologic response. Predicting outcome is essential and could help avoid unnecessary treatment and reduce health cost. Recently, an association of amino acid substitutions in the core region and treatment outcome was observed in Japanese patients. In the present study, the impact of these mutations on response kinetics and treatment outcome was explored in Caucasian patients.

Methods

The core region of HCV pre-treatment samples obtained from 50 patients treated with peginterferon/ribavirin in a previous Swedish clinical trial with genotype 1 infection were sequenced. The alleles at rs12979860, a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), were assessed in order to identify any co-association with this strong response predictor.

Results

No association between treatment response and substitutions of core residue 91 was found. In contrast, substitutions of core residue 70 were observed in 6/21 (29%) non-responders, but only in one of 29 responders (p = 0.03), and were more common in subgenotype 1b (R70Q in 6 of 13 strains) than in 1a (R70P in 1 of 37 strains, p = 0.004). The rs12979860 SNP upstream of the IL28B gene was overall the strongest response predictor (p = 0.0001). Core 70 substitutions were associated with poorer response kinetics in patients carrying the CT genotype at rs12979860.

Conclusions

The results indicate that substitutions of core residue 70 are related to treatment response in Caucasian patients with HCV-1b infection, but are of less importance than IL28B polymorphism.</p
