This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of teaching aids hydrocarbon materials from used goods in learning with the TGT model to improve learning outcomes and student motivation at rural school. The research design used was a quasi-experimental design with a two-group posttest-only design. The research sample is 40 high school students in SMAN 9 Palu suburbs. Hydrocarbon teaching aids are in the form of KIT puzzles and molimod.. Hydrocarbon teaching aids have been validated by media experts and material experts and got very feasible result (91.5%). The research instrument used in this study was a test of hydrocarbon material and a learning motivation questionnaire. Data on learning outcomes and motivation were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics independent sample t-test. The results showed that the use of teaching aids for hydrocarbon materials from used goods in learning with the TGT model was effective in improving student learning outcomes because there were differences in learning outcomes tcount (2.46) > ttable (2.02) and the experimental group learning outcomes were higher than the control class. There are differences in learning motivation tcount (3.17) > ttable (2.02), but the difference in motivation is very small so that the learning motivation in the experimental group and the control class is almost the sam

This study aims to determine the effect of pedagogic competence, motivation and work discipline on the performance of science teachers at SMP Alkhairaat Pusat Palu. This study uses a quantitative approach. The research subjects in this study were all science teachers at SMP Alkhairaat Pusat Palu. The research location is located at Alkhairaat Central Middle School. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire which involved 18 teachers. The data analysis used regression technique with SPSS version 16. The sample collection technique used purposive sample. The results showed that the results of the t-test partially had an effect on pedagogical competence and work discipline on teacher performance, but there was no effect of motivation on teacher performance. The results of the F-test show that simultaneously there is an effect of pedagogic competence, motivation and work discipline on teacher performance. So it can be concluded that pedagogical competence, motivation and work discipline have an effect on the performance of science teachers at Alkhairaat Middle School, Palu

This study aimed to determine the Effect of Creative Productive Learning Model Assisted by Visual Media and Learning Inquiry Model with Media Assistance Concept Map on Student Learning Outcomes in Science Subjects in Class V SD Negeri 7 Poso. This research was an experimental research. The population was the seventh grade students of SD Negeri 7 Poso amounting to 50 students, the samples used as the source of research data were the Va class students amounted to 25 students and Vb class amounted to 25 students. The data collection methods conducted in this study was the students' test result. Data analysis techniques used in this study included hypothesis prerequisite test and hypothesis testing. The results of the first hypothesis with SPSS program obtained significant value for t test results of 18.728 was greater than t table of 2.064 and the value of p = 0,000 <0.05 so that the alternative hypothesis states that there is influence of productive creative learning model assisted visual media to the learning outcomes students of Grade V of SD Negeri 7 Poso on Science subjects (Natural Science) was accepted. The result of second hypothesis calculation with SPSS program got significant value for result of test of t test equal to 19,316 bigger than t table equal to 2,064 and value p = 0,000 <0,05 so alternative hypothesis that there is influence of model of inquiry learning inquiry media concept map to learning result students of Grade V of SD Negeri 7 Poso on Science subjects (Natural Science) was accepted. The results of the third hypothesis with SPSS program obtained Fcount value of 12.292 larger than F tabel of 4.043 and the value of p = 0.001 <0.05 so that the alternative hypothesis states that there is influence of creative learning model assisted visual media and inquiry learning model assisted media concept map simultaneous to the result of learning of grade V of SD Negeri 7 Poso on science subject (Natural Science) was accepted

The main objective of this research was to find out whether the implementation of guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills on the reaction rate topic at one public school located in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Experimental research method was used in this study pretest-posttest design. Two science program classes at the grade 11 were recruited. Both were assigned as experimental class 1 and experimental class 2. To measure students' critical thinking skills, the instruments used were critical thinking skills tests and observation sheets. Findings suggest that the critical thinking skills of students in the experimental class 1 was 44% which was in the very high category, 36% of them included in the high category, and 20% included in the medium category. In contrast, in the experimental class 2, students' critical thinking skills were 52% and included in the very high category, 24% of them included in the high category, and 24% included in the medium category. In addition, the N-gain test showcased that the average value for experimental class 1 was 0.75 (the high category) and experimental class 2 was 0.77 (the high category). Our findings concluded that the guided inquiry learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills on the reaction rate topic

This study aimed to determine students’ learning outcomes in Grade X at MA Yayasan Islam Indonesia Pulau Sebatik by applying cooperative learning model-Jigsaw type on the hydrocarbons material. This type of study was a quasi-experimental research with a non-randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was students of class X MA YIIPS academic year 2014/2015 which amounted to 42 students and consisted of 2 classes. The sample in this study was class XA MA YIIPS (n = 22) as the experiment class and class XB MA YIPS (n = 22) as the control class. The result of data analysis in the experiment class obtained X̅1 value of 78.81 with a standard deviation of 10.41, and in the control, class obtained X̅2 value was 70.72 with a standard deviation of 11.55. The result of the hypothesis test was tcount > ttable (8.17 > 1.67) with a significant level (α) of 0.05 and degree of freedom of 42. This result indicated that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, so it can be concluded that the students’ learning outcomes of chemistry on the hydrocarbons material treated with cooperative learning model-Jigsaw type are better than untreated class

This study aimed to determine glucose and ethanol levels from fermentation of peel waste of breadfruit. Glucose level was determined using UV-Vis spectrophotometer and then continued with fermentation of glucose from hydrolysis process using yeast tape (saccharomyces cerevisiae) for 3 days to produce bioethanol. The step in this study was the sample preparation, the acid variations in hydrolysis with HCl, H2SO4, H3PO4 (10%) and the fermentation. Determination of ethanol from the fermentation of glucose was measured by using alkoholmeter. The highest glucose level was 0.68% which was from hydrolysis using HCl and the highest ethanol level was 9% which obtained from the fermentation of glucose by using HCl hydrolysis. The conclusion shows that the type of acid used to reach optimum hydrolysis of the breadfruit’s peel is HCl
