RF-DC power conversion of Schottky diode fabricated on AlGaAs/GaAs heterostructure for on-chip rectenna device application in nanosystems
The Schottky diodes enjoined with coplanar waveguides are investigated for applications in on-chip rectenna device applications without insertion of a matching circuit. The design, fabrication, DC characteristics and RF-to-DC conversion of the AlGaAs/GaAs HEMT Schottky diode is presented. The RF signals are well converted by the fabricated Schottky diodes with cut-off frequency up to 25 GHz estimated in direct injection experiments. The outcomes of these results provide conduit for breakthrough designs for ultra-low power on-chip rectenna device technology to be integrated in nanosystems
Team Building Activities
This study sought to determine the potential impact of team building activities on anti-social behaviors in an urban fifth grade classroom. Team building activities are a pleasurable way to engage students in meaningful learning that has benefits on social, emotional, and academic development. The research was conducted in an urban elementary school in Western New York. The entire class participated in the team building activities. However, five students were selected for observational data collection. Various research tools were utilized to collect and analyze data such as: observation checklists, surveys, interviews, student response sheets, and a researcher\u27s journal. Data illustrated that team building activities contributed to a decrease in anti-social behaviors in the classroom
Evaluation of electric and magnetic fields distribution and SAR induced in 3D models of water containers by radiofrequency radiation using FDTD and FEM simulation techniques
In this study, two software packages using different numerical techniques
FEKO 6.3 with Finite-Element Method (FEM) and XFDTD 7 with Finite Difference
Time Domain Method (FDTD) were used to assess exposure of 3D models of square,
rectangular, and pyramidal shaped water containers to electromagnetic waves at
300, 900, and 2400 MHz frequencies. Using the FEM simulation technique, the
peak electric field of 25, 4.5, and 2 V/m at 300 MHz and 15.75, 1.5, and 1.75
V/m at 900 MHz were observed in pyramidal, rectangular, and square shaped 3D
container models, respectively. The FDTD simulation method confirmed a peak
electric field of 12.782, 10.907, and 10.625 V/m at 2400 MHz in the pyramidal,
square, and rectangular shaped 3D models, respectively. The study demonstrated
an exceptionally high level of electric field in the water in the two identical
pyramid shaped 3D models analyzed using the two different simulation
techniques. Both FEM and FDTD simulation techniques indicated variations in the
distribution of electric, magnetic fields, and specific absorption rate of
water stored inside the 3D container models. The study successfully
demonstrated that shape and dimensions of 3D models significantly influence the
electric and magnetic fields inside packaged materials; thus, specific
absorption rates in the stored water vary according to the shape and dimensions

SEMANGAT BELAJAR MAHASISWA PADA MASA PANDEMI COVID-19
Abstract: The Spirit of Student Learning During The Covid-19 PandemicThis study aims to explain in detail how the objective conditions of student enthusiasm for learning are during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research was conducted at UIN Alauddin Makassar with a sample of 79 students. The data collection technique in this study uses a survey using a google form in order to reach students and uses a Likert scale in filling out the survey. The data analysis technique used in this study is to calculate the percentage of data from each indicator, then interpret the data presentation scores and analyze each indicator in depth. The results of this study indicate that the enthusiasm for learning of UIN Alauddin Makassar students is "very good", this is obtained from a survey of 87.5 percent. The results of this study can be used as one of the evaluation materials and the development of students in the Government and Educational Institutions in general and universities in particular which of course carry out online learning in the Covid-19 pandemic era. Abstrak: Semangat Belajar Mahasiswa Pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan secara rinci bagaimana kondisi objektif semangat belajar mahasiswa di masa pandemi Covid-19. Penelitian dilakukan di UIN Alauddin Makassar dengan sampel penelitian adalah 79 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Survei dengan menggunakan google form agar dapat menjangkau mahasiswa dan menggunakan skala Likert dalam pengisian survei. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menghitung persentase data dari setiap indikator, kemudian menginterpretasikan skor penyajian data dan menganalisis setiap indikator secara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa semangat belajar mahasiswa UIN Alauddin Makassar “sangat baik”, hal ini diperoleh dari Survei sebesar 87,5 persen. Hasil penelitian ini bisa digunakan menjadi salah satu materi evaluasi maupun pengembangan peserta didik di Pemeritah dan Lembaga Pendidikan pada umumnya serta perguruan tinggi pada khususnya yang tentunya melaksanakan pembelajaran online pada era pandemic Covid-19
